I took my family to the one in Grovetown in frint of the Walmart. Been there a few times and enjoyed it. What happened? My daughter ordered a bowl and when we got it she asked if it could be heated and cheese melted. They said no. She asked to return it then. Im assuming a mgr came over and in front of us was saying we were wasting his time over and over.( I bought about $60 worth of food). I told him he was wasting ours. Then he mocked me and kept saying it. it's gets better. I contacted their home office. They did the usual apology, said they had a.talk with employees, offered for us to come back as a guest if I would send them my address. That was about 2 weeks ago. So that was it. I haven't heard back. I could care less about being a guest. it's just so so Tex Mex served on parchment paper. it's the way we were treated as customers. My experience with this Diablo's location has only been in regards to pick up orders, but trust me that has been more than enough to win me over. Every time, and I do mean EVERY TIME, I place my order (online, which I love) it is set to be ready in 10 minutes. And guess what, it always is. A couple of times I've asked for extra chips and they are more than generous. I've never had a order mishap and everything is hot and flavorful. I also appreciate how they've prepackaged the various salsas in to-go containers so I can still grab a few of those as well. The team here is always friendly. Actually I would give this place 3 1/2 stars, but I'll round up for the review. Not much to say that hasn't already been said. I was picking up a friend who moved to Augusta, but wanted to move back to Florida, and me being a foodie, I wanted to try out some local cuisine. The one local Jamaican restaurant that I found seem to be out of business, so I thought let's get some barbecue. Looking back at it now I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't really a barbecue place but more of a restaurant that did TexMex, similar to Moe's or Chipotle grill. I liked the food here better than Chipotles because they don't put cilantro in everything, yes I'm one of those people who thinks that cilantro taste like soap. I ordered a quesadilla with the ghost pepper chicken, and it was ok, not super spicy. What I really liked was their salsa, it almost resembled a chili, or thick tomato sauce. The booths have cellphone charging stations, and the motif was creative. This restaurant has so much potential, I wish they would expand their menu a little bit. Maybe offer a quarter bbq chicken special. That would be awesome! The restaurant was clean, parking was OK. The staff was friendly even though there is very little interaction with them. read more

They are rapidly expanding, and rightfully so! Freshest to-go burrito in the CSRA. The ingredients are fresher and more abundant than at competitors Chipotle and Moe's. They do not skimp out on toppings and have great queso dip that is free of charge on certain items--such as the nachos (my personal favorite). The selections are pretty similar to your average burrito restaurant. The customer service at times leaves a lot to be desired, but the quality of the food makes up for the service. This is the perfect location for medical employees working downtown who are looking for a quick lunch break. The lines are never long. When they are, the service is still very fast and efficient. Even a 30 minute lunch break employee will make it to eat and back with a little time to spare. Will continue to frequent this location as I have since 2015! A good bang for your buck! read more

Chipotle with an upgrade. I'm not a big fan of chipotle but this place was good. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Staff was helpful and friendly. Place was clean and original ( check out the bull smashing through the wall). The coolest plastic utensils dispenser ( for some reason I liked them ). And charging stations in all the booths. Diablos is bland and overpriced. Service is poor at every location in the CSRA. If you like extremely rationed food for full price, this is your place. Don't expect more than 5 strands of lettuce on anything you order, even if you are getting a salad. I really love this Diablo's. I eat lunch here sometimes multiple times a week. I've tried the one on Wheeler, and they have slightly different tastes ... the meat, anyway. The staff here are super friendly. I order a kid's bowl, because I don't want massive amounts of food for lunch. They never smirk or act like it's inappropriate for an adult to order a kids' meal ! I appreciate that. The food tastes GREAT. The homemade salsas are amazing, and I love that the cooking takes place out on the open. This particular location is very careful to not mix the toppings as they're reaching and dipping. Good practice, since I've experienced spicy ingredients mixed in with NON-spicy ingredients at one of the other locations. Biggest A+ in my book ? The fact that I can SEE them check the internal temp of every piece of chicken they take off of the grill. Safety first - and it's excellent to see it happening. Diablo's was pitched to me as a better version of Moe's, so I'm going to compare and contrast because Moe's is definitely one of my faves. Diablo's: +chips slightly better (fresher, crisper) +tortilla is softer and fresher +rice is more flavorful Moe's: +tofu is firmer and more flavorful +grilled veggies are seasoned better +greater menu variety I was hoping to find a tie-breaker in the salsa bar, as I absolutely adore Moe's salsa verde and wanted to see how it compared to Diablo's. Diablo's salsa verde was delicious and had a wonderful balance of cilantro and heat. Overall, it's a tie! I would say both places are equal but different and I would happily eat at either establishment. Looking forward to coming back! read more

This was my first visit to Diablo's and I was pleasantly surprised. The menu has plenty of choices for the southwestern style Mexican lover. I went with my old standby - a chicken burrito. I was very impressed with the many options for toppings including fresh pico de gallo, cheese, fresh tomatoes, grilled onions and some very tasty corn salsa. The chicken was well cooked and very tasty. I am a big fan of guacamole and wasn't disappointed with the generous portion that was placed on my burrito. The chips included with my meal were warm and lightly salted. I truly enjoyed the salsa verde and fire roasted salsa. Both of the salsas tasted very fresh and paired perfectly with the chips and burrito. All in all it was a very enjoyable meal and I will definitely make a return visit soon. read more

I come here from time to time. Came here with some friends today for lunch a little bit after 11 am. Perfect timing! It wasn't crowded or packed at all. After 12pm, there's quite a good bit of peeps in there. I got the chicken burrito bowl today. It's always good. The peach habanero jank was pretty kicking today! Whoa! That along with the spicy sour cream and salsa made me have to take a few gulps of my water every so often as I was eating. Diablos is just like Moe's and Barberitos to me. I would've said Chipotle, but I have yet to try that out. All the same genre of food basically. Only thing I hate about Diablos is that they don't have mushrooms and bacon! Then they charge extra for guacamole. They lose a star because of that and they jipped me on the amount of chips I got with my burrito bowl today. I usually get more than what I had when I come. Smh. I like diablos. I have since its been here. It's not my favorite place by any stretch, nor would I choose it over anything else. However, when I do go, I've never really had any issues, but their food isn't anything to write home about. Just like chipotle, but a little better I'd say (sans E. coli and salmonella). read more

I have been coming to this Diablo's for years! They have always served great food. Today, I decided to go out and grab some food because I missed coming here. Sadly I don't think the workers were following proper protocols for Covid-19. There was one worker who came to help me had a mask on their neck and she was very sweet and was kind enough to accept my request for her to put her mask on, but I can see she didn't put it on properly because she had to keep moving and adjusting her mouth behind the mask because it was loose. Despite all that I appreciated it. She was also kind enough to give me my toppings because the other worker next to the veggies wasn't wearing a mask. I asked the one worker who didn't wear the mask if management required a mask, she hesitated and said, "uhhh not really." Now I don't want this person to get in trouble but I hope management will step up and protect their customers and workers by enforcing safe proper Covid-19 protocols. read more

I come by here during lunch hours sometimes since it's not far from work. The line is hit or miss as sometimes there is no line and sometimes the line is to the door. The quality here is about the same as the rest of the diablos restaurants in the area. Parking can be a pain during lunch hours but they do have some overflow parking areas. read more

I've eaten takeout at work twice and it's been good both times. I had the beef taco salad and it was very good. Today I had the steak burrito bowl. Basically it's a taco salad without the shell. Dissapointed with the steak. Very grainy and pretty much no flavor to speak of. Won't get steak again. That was pretty much my only complaint. The chips are the best I've ever had. So light and crispy and fresh. Queso is good, guac too. Will try a chicken quesadilla next time. Co worker got one and it's huge. read more

In the past I've had a very good experience at the Walton way location but on last night 6/14/22 my experience was not so good and I will NEVER return! Let me start by addressing the fact that they were flies flying all around the food and the employees were just carrying on as if it's normal and ok... I started to leave then (which I should've) but my children really wanted to eat here so I gave it a chance. I told my children to go wash their hands, and the girl at the register had an attitude about that and stated that she'd just mopped (the store had about another hour to go before closing). So they waited a few minutes to give the floor time to dry and before we sat down to eat I told them to go wash their hands the floor should be dry. They way she moved the wet floor sign, her facial expressions and the statement that was made "I just mopped the floor again", was very unnecessary. Well why not wait until customers leave to mop the bathroom floor especially when you have customers that's dining in? The food was ok although our chips were not fresh, no big deal! But we didn't feel welcomed at all and upon leaving my toddler loudly and clearly said bye to the girl with the attitude and to my surprise no response, no gratitude, absolutely nothing! Diablo's is a carbon copy of Chipotle, and I love it! There are a few minor differences - Diablo's gives you chips and they might actually have a few more items to choose from. This particular location is new and very convenient for those working in the medical district, also a lot of cops come in. It will get pretty crowded during peak lunch on weekdays and Sundays (after-church crowd). I get a burrito with steak, black beans, cilantro rice, sweet corn, black olives, lettuce, tomato, and spicy salsa and it's on point. Fills me up every time, tastes great, cheap, and takes seconds to make. They have three different salsas to choose from and I personally like the verde - green and vinegary. The dollar bill by the salsa station is sealed into the floor, fyi. Don't bend down to try to pick it up. read more

Simply put... Diablos, which started locally in Augusta, is way better than Moe's, Barberitos, Chipotle, etc.
