Came with family that lives in town. They love this place and I understand why. The wait staff is friendly the food is good and the portions are huge. I got the burrito San Jose and man it was too much to eat. I got through about half. The pork was plentiful and well seasoned. The onions and peppers cooked just right and the house sauce was delicious. My dad got the steak ranchero and he said the meat was tender enough it didn't bother his dentures . Worst experience ever. I actually came here once to see about getting churros with ice cream but it turns out they didn't have what they needed so I left. So after I tried again today and I was able to get the churros with ice cream and I was sorely disappointed. It came with churrs and it came with the ice cream but it did not come with whipped cream nor did it come with the chocolate caramel drizzle and the ice-cream the amount they gave me was less. I was sorely disappointed and this has been the most awful experience I've ever had at a restaurant for a long time. This is by far the best most authentic mexican food i have had down south. I waited to review this place and after eating her over 5 times I can honestly do so. The food is consistently great every time. I have everything from the seafood section and I recommend it all. I love this place and I hope they keep up their authenticity. Thought this was just another Mexican Restaurant in a strip mall but I was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and organized inside. Staff was attentive and polite. Menu is more diverse than average. Prices are reasonable. We were a party of four for early evening weekday supper. All enjoyed our meals. Food was fresh and hot. Vegetables were fresh and meats were tender and tasty. This is the second time I have gotten the vegetarian fajita and it was burnt. The food would be better if they didn't burn it.

We stopped by for Cinco de Mayo, but dining in not carry out. My goodness, they were run ragged trying to keep up with the carry-out orders. Food was great, best Texas Margaritas ever. But I want to say that we could see lots of people upset with the timeliness of carry out, but they weren't really set up for 90/10 on carry out/dine-in. They're pretty good. Had the chicken fajitas (my benchmark for Mexican places). My wife had the Carne Asada. Chicken tacos and quesadillas for the kids. Portions were large and fairly inexpensive. My fajitas were tender and flavorful, but they had zucchini and squash in addition to the standard peppers and onions, thought that was a little weird but it worked. When something on the menu says it's spicy, make no mistake, it's spicy. My wife learned that with the Carne Asada... It was REALLY spicy, but once she pulled the peppers out it was fine for her. (I ate them. ‍) Chips and salsa were good and tasted fresh. Chicken tacos weren't great but my expectations for them weren't very high anyway, they're one of the cheapest items on the menu. My only gripe was that we ordered takeout and they forgot one of our items, the quesadilla we ordered for our two youngest to split, but we didn't realize it til we got home and I wasn't about to go back. There was plenty of other food to split between us and it was probably just a simple mistake, so not going to knock them for that. But definitely check your bag. Based off the initial ratings I wasn't so sure how much I'd like this place, but my cousin, her husband and kids absolutely love this place so I figured lets go! We came in on a Saturday night and it was a little busy. The restaurant is located on a small strip next to a few other stores, and they offer outdoor seating as well. We started off with the complimentary chips and salsa, and ordered a bowl of the queso blanco. I was feeling super hungry so I ordered the mixed fajitas with chicken and steak and when the food came out the portion size was huge! I ordered Horchata to wash it all down, and this is some of the best Horchata I've ever drank. It can be overspiced sometimes, but this was the perfect amount of cinnamon for me! The food was really good, they also throw in some other grilled veggies with the fajitas besides the standard onions and peppers. I truly enjoyed it, I walked out stuffed and happy. Between 8 people our bill as $86 so the price point was perfect. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, I really enjoyed it! read more

This place was below mediocre at best particularly for the price. The meat tasted either frozen or reheated. The plate of beans and rice was clearly nuked in the microwave. The plate was hot and the beans were crusting from the microwave. Overall decent flavors, literally ate it because I was starving. The waitress moved in slow motion and it took forever to order and get the tab, even with the restaurant fairly empty. Also ordered tamales and they never came. Will not be coming back here and def do NOT recommend eating here for the price. based on the extensive menu of numerous items and relatively small customer base, there is no way the food is made fresh - frozen meats, leftovers put in the microwave. I love the location - it's right on Columbia Rd. at the entrance to Ivy Falls Subdivision, near Patriots Park. However, I'm not quite as impressed with the food as I was hoping to be. The basics (salsa, chips, refried beans, rice) were less than spectacular. The refried beans were dry. I had enchiladas which were good and my husband enjoyed his chimichanga. You absolutely can't get better prices or service. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, and we both ate lunch (including tip) for $15. They do have some great looking dishes on their menu, so we intend to go back and try it for dinner one night. I think we'll have better luck with some of their specialty dishes. read more

Worst food ever! My husband ordered takeout as a treat meal for us because I am an RN working 12 hour shifts and did not want to cook tonight. We ordered simple meals, 1 shrimp fajita, 1 vegetable fajita. My husband returned home with the order, no fajitas (bread). He returned to the store, which is only 5 minutes away from our home, and the restaurant apologizes. We sit to eat & the food is flavorless, charred and has cocktail shrimp. We are from Maryland & know shrimp when we see them. But the butt kicker was the burnt, charred food. Of course with covid we don't expect to return the food, what we expected from the restaurant was a refund or a do-over. But let's me be honest, I don't want a do-over because quite frankly, I think people take it out on your food (trust issues). But the restaurant declined our refund. 3¾ stars, which I guess rounds up. This place is a bit out of the way in a strip of five or so stores, but is pretty decent. My friends live close by, so I stop in every now and then. It's not a bad spot. On my last visit, I had the Burrito Benito. It had some good flavour and the jalapeños provided a good kick, but not one that lingered painfully. Their margaritas are...decent, in part because of the attractive drink specials they sometimes offer. I also noticed that they do nightly specials (I think the Monday I was there, one of them was $1 chicken or beef tacos). Overall, I like this place. I'm not sure how it stacks up against other Mexican joints in the Augusta area, as I've only been to Salsa's. But if you're in the area, you could do much worse for dining out. read more

My family and I enjoy this restaurant. It is not very far, the quality of food is good, and the personnel are always friendly. They even play with our toddler and make us feel welcome. My father-in-law came to visit So we brought him here. They gave him the wrong order and he is nice and didn't want to say anything come up no one knew except the waitress saw and she brought him the right order free of charge. If you need a quick fresh lunch then this cozy place tucked in a strip mall is for you. Just off the main road. They bring you fresh crispy chips and homemade salsa -the norm in taquerias. They refill your soda and water without having to asK. Very attentive. I always order the California burrito or special burrito but with tortilla on the side. It's insane and keto! Here is the photo. My family and I decided to visit Azteca Maya for dinner on Saturday night...we've passed by several times but had never stopped. Before going we checked the menu and specials online...just a heads up the specials listed online were not offered in the Resturant. We were seated immediately when we arrived. There's additional seating outside as well. The Resturant was clean and the staff was friendly. They have very extensive menu and they offer specials too. Like most Mexican Resturant's they have combination plates that are reasonably priced. And a kids menu with a variety items. My husband loved the salsa...he described it as having the right amount of salt and twang (if that's a thing...lol). It was pretty tasty though. We also ordered cheese dip which was pretty good too. Our food came out pretty quickly and everything was hot & fresh. This will definitely be one of our spots to eat! read more

First visit was Dec 26 2020, the food was good, the horchata is the best in the area (recent Los Angeles transplant) so looking for a good Mexican restaurant in the area has been a challenge. Yesterday we returned only to be disappointed, my dish enchiladas verde was cold had to ask for the food to be heated, tortillas were not good at all, the green salsa was not of the same taste and quality I experienced in December. Quite disappointing. Hence the lower rating. Came here during a rainy Thursday for lunch. Seating was quick and the waiter... not so much. Waiter forgot the orders twice, forgot to bring the sides we ordered, and forget to bring the rice and beans that came with our meals. Huge selections of food, tasty chips and salsa, and the food itself(enchiladas, tacos, and burritos) was not as good as anticipated. Avoid the tacos, they're pretty crappy and use cheap shells with ground beef and ice berg lettuce. Most Mexican restaurants make them with chopped steak, onions, and cilantro with soft corn tortillas. If i wanted water-downed Mexican food I would've went to Taco Bell. 3.5 stars- This is becoming our go-to Mexican restaurant. I'm sure most people don't know this location exists, because it's kind of off the beaten path a bit. Our waiter was helpful last night and recommended some dishes. Be forewarned, the burritos are as big as your face! My husband got the Burrito Jalisco (carnitas, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, white cheese and green sauce) and I ordered the Fajitas Guadalajara (a combination of beef, chicken and shrimp). It was really weird though when I asked if their bean and cheese dip had meat and the server had to ask the kitchen. The server came back and let me know there was bacon in the beans. So I asked if these were the same beans in the vegetarian items (my husband is vegetarian) and he said yes. For real?!
