I was looking for something fast to eat as I was starving after being out and about all day. When we went it was right after lunch time during the week. Place was pretty empty & clean! Staff was welcoming which is always a plus for me. The food was really good! I got a chicken burrito and my boyfriend got nachos and a steak quesadilla. I was not expecting the burrito to be so big and filling, I could only eat half and had to take the rest to go. Overall I enjoyed my meal and environment. Stopped there at 8:30 pm for food. The girl working asked if we were getting our food to go because they close at 9:30. Wow. Didn't have any sweet tea, "well we close at 9:30". She stood at the counter and watched us eat so I decided to leave the tray and baskets at the furthest corner of the restaurant! We ate and left before 9. Customer Service was not all that important. Have you ever found yourself in the mood for Tex Mex, but don't want to take the time to go to a full on restaurant? You want a quesadilla or burrito or just some queso and chips, but dealing with a waiter just isn't in the schedule. Well this is the place for you. I will admit there are a number of similar style of places around, including close to this one. But I find the flavor and texture of the meat here of a better quality. There is plenty of parking and it is convenient to get to from most of North Augusta (or downtown Augusta, in my case). The team is primarily young and always friendly. The food is on point as is the salsa offerings. One bonus I like about this place is they have a number of Jones soda on tap. That is hard to find. Some may not know, but this place was started and is run by three brothers who are all from Augusta, GA. If you want to support local, eat here. *Insider's Tip -Though this location doesn't have a drive-through window, they do have the option to call in or fax a order then drive up to a pickup window. Here I always get the bowls why I don't know it just looks so good piled up in front of me! LOL. When I walk in I go straight to it my beef bowl with all my favorite toppings, Pico,sour cream,black beans, and a few more. The staff is great and you always have clean tables and the drink station is not sticky. Most of the time my order is Togo but we sat down this time and it was a good experience for us. Come by and try them you can also have you food in chicken and tofu also and don't forget the chop and salsa sauces too. read more

Yes this is worth the $$,it take me two days to eat.All of the vegetables are freshly cooked,you get many choices ,I wish they offered refried beans.The free chips,and salsa is a treat by itself.The chips are fresh,crispy,light.I generally get the pork all for under $12.00 read more

Rudest employees I've ever encountered. I had two entrees and it was a battle between the two employees as to who could ask me questions faster. Not one person behind me in line. I felt the rapid fire was unnecessary. I was rushed from one station to the Next all while someone at the register was motioning for me to come down when I hadn't even finished ordering. They were also out of quite a few ingredients. Hopefully this was an isolated incident & the employees have better attitudes tomorrow. read more

Diablos always hits the mark for me. I usually get a burrito bowl with either pork or tofu. Yes, the tofu is pretty good. Give it a try. The only thing I can thinks of that will improve Diablos is for all the locations to have Jones soda and to add hot sauce more like what you see in one of the taquerias in the back of a Mexican market. This past weekend I turned off the interstate in North Augusta to get gas from Kroger when I saw Diablo's across the street. It was lunch time and I was hungry, so I figured why not give Diablo's a try. I wasn't really sure what to expect since I had not been to a Diablo's before; and well I was a little disappointed when I walked in and basically discovered it was just a chain like a Moe's or Willy's. I ordered a burrito and it was about the same as a burrito from another fast food casual Tex-Mex restaurant. I will say that I was happy to see not only did they have a Coca-Cola machine, but also a Jones soda machine in the restaurant for something different. Service here could be a little more welcoming and friendly. The staff was not personable at all and it came out to feel like they really didn't want to be there; just going through the motions. And while there I observed one worker come by and wipe a few tables off more than once, but also noticed the floors were not too clean which would have made better use of their energy. I would go to Diablo's again if I wanted a fast food big burrito, but I would hope they improve service. read more

I love good Mexican food and miss my Arizona Mexican food. Better than Chipotle, Diablo's is authentic Mexican. It has so many options. Cilantro, lime, spicy cheese and salsas. On top of the fact they have rare but great soda flavors. I'm addicted to the Diablo wild cherry. The owner and staff are amazingly sweet and helpful. My husband goes crazy with their Chipotle ranch and chips. This is definitely our new spot!! read more

This is my first visit to any Diablo's Southwest Grill. This North Augusta location just opened up where Brusters used to be. The queso and guacamole were both very good with the light and crispy chips. I also ordered ground beef nachos with cheese, spicy sour cream, pico de gallo, and fresh jalapeño. They give you generous portions that even though I was getting full, it was so good I kept eating. I am deducting a star because a fly landed on someone's food as they were making it, and rather than remake the order they just swatted the fly away. read more

I had never been to a Diablo's location until they opened this one up in North Augusta. The atmosphere is great and the restaurant looks good. I love Mexican & Southwestern food. Everything looked clean & sanitary, and the employees did what they were supposed to. I really like that they had charging stations at the tables. I gave it three stars because I wasn't super impressed with the food. Everything looked fresh but I just didn't think the food was very flavorful. I had the pulled pork burrito bowl and the meat just didn't seem like it was seasoned enough. The place seems pretty popular though, so it's probably just me. read more

I first visited Diablo's about a month ago and have been back three additional times. I love the taco bowl with shell bowl. And the topping are great. Chipotle sour cream on top and fresh cilantro. We also like the Jones soda at the fountain station. Great sauce bar. My new favorite. read more

This was my second time eating here. I am glad I gave it another chance. Arrived around 4pm on Friday. The guy making the food was friendly and polite. A girl was working the register and she was great, too. I was helped carrying the food to our table. When you order you stand in front of the options and can pick them as you go. Everything was stocked, smelled good and looked fresh. We tried a kids chicken quesadilla and a steak burrito. Both were plenty to eat. The chips and queso were perfect! DELICIOUS!! The rice was sort of mushy and not much flavor but by the time toppings were added the rice blended in and was good. So many employees by 4:25pm were gathered at the register, chit chatting and blocking the entrance/exit of the restrooms. My reason for removing a star. I never like to see this. It is unprofessional. Customers should not hear issues and esp. never need to hear personals about other employees. Customers are paying to enjoy a meal. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant was clean. They have To-Go order forms and you can fax it. This would be a great option for work lunches or big orders. read more

My husband & I went recently about a week after their opening, I had been to another one in Augusta, Ga. There was a long line, but it went quickly. You choose your entree, which is Burrito, Burrito Bowl, Salad, Nachos, & maybe one or two other items. From there, you pick your various ingredients, rice, beans, cheese, sauces, etc. You can see it & appears to be fresh. You get chips on the side also & there is a salsa bar near the drinks stand with 3 types to choose from. All went smoothly, & the tables were kept cleaned off as soon as someone left, so no problem with seating. Enjoyed the meal, we were both very full. If there was any criticism, it would be the long jamb. When you leave the cashier to go get a table, you encounter the drink machine area where people are standing in line waiting to fill up ice, drinks, etc, they really need to put that at the other end. We will go back, considering we do not have any good Mexican restaurants in our town, they may not have the selection & long menu of those places & you may get wait staff, but the food is fresh & good here. read more
