Close up of quesadilla with beef, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole

It was okay, it wasn't bad but not great. I got the quesadilla and it was decent. Not as good as Taco Bell or any Mexican restaurant.

Here I always get the bowls why I don't know it just looks so good piled up in front of me! LOL. When I walk in I go straight to it my beef bowl with all my favorite toppings, Pico, sour cream, black beans, and a few more. The staff is great and you always have clean tables and the drink station is not sticky. Most of the time my order is Togo but we sat down this time and it was a good experience for us. Come by and try them you can also have you food in chicken and tofu also and don't forget the chop and salsa sauces too.

    Super clean dining area.

Amazingly clean restaurant, excellent staff and just very well-kept. Even the bathrooms are quite clean as well and the salsa stations and soda stations are immaculately clean.

Great Tex-Mex food, good selection, quick and easy stop in the Augusta area, a 5-star recommended.

Ordered an assortment of tacos/gordita including barbacoa, lengua, tripas, pastor as well as a queso beef dip and Jamaica as a beverage. Was pleasantly surprised to get some free chips and dip which was decent. Some of the chips were undersalted or a bit grainy/sandy tasting but the salsa was decent. Tacos Barbacoa (4.5/5): Their best taco for sure. Very tender pieces of shredded meat, not too fatty but still very flavorful. Reminiscent of the cabeza taco at la jaliciense. Tacos Lengua (4/5): Good amount of lengua pieces that are also pretty tender and tasty. All their tacos are salty enough, and I liked how the lengua pieces were cubed into smaller pieces than other spots. Beef queso dip (4/5): Rich queso with ground beef mixed within, a decent appetizer for sure and would recommend ordering this. Tacos Tripas (2.5/5): I asked before ordering if they would be pretty crispy as this is how I enjoyed Tripas in Mexico city, San Antonio, etc. and they confirmed it would be. When I received it, very few pieces were crispy and many of them were oily/soggy. Some tasted slightly burnt. Although the portion of meat was very generous, I felt the quality could have been higher. Gordita Pastor (3/5): The tacos pastor also had decent portions and was well seasoned, but the issue was that it lacked tenderness and was pretty firm. The jamaica was a bit too sweet. They provide beans if you order 3 tacos but will increase the costs to accommodate this, I would request no beans and just order the tacos a la carte in the future. Overall, it is still an authentic Mexican spot in North Augusta and pricing is fair, but I prefer La Jaliciense by a fair margin for the variety and quality of meat within the tacos.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing…read more My friends and I visited this restaurant to celebrate a very important milestone in one of our lives. We arrived around 6:58 PM and were seated promptly. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. It took approximately 45 minutes before our order was even taken. During an earlier attempt to place our order, our server stopped in the middle of assisting us and stated, "Oh wait, I need to go give this other table their beers first." Throughout the evening, it was difficult to find our server whenever we needed anything. To make matters more frustrating, my partner and I only ordered guacamole and queso, items that are typically considered appetizers and generally do not require a lengthy preparation time. Despite this, our order still never arrived, even while the other members of our party had ordered full meals. After waiting nearly an hour, we decided we no longer wished to remain at the restaurant. It is important to note that the restaurant was not particularly busy at the time, although staff appeared to be beginning closing procedures on one side of the restaurant despite us arriving well before closing. I requested to speak with a manager. After explaining our concerns, his response was simply, "Do you want me to check on the food?" By that point, I was traveling and no longer had additional time to wait, so I informed him that we would just like to leave. What was most disappointing was that the manager never returned to speak with us afterward. Instead, our server came back and handed us a check for our drinks and queso, which we paid without issue. Additionally, shortly after we received the complimentary chips and salsa, the server asked whether we were actually going to order anything, which came across as though she assumed we had only come in for free chips and salsa. As someone who has spent more than 10 years in management and currently serves in a director-level position in healthcare, I understand that delays can happen. However, communication, professionalism, and managerial accountability are essential. The lack of follow-up and concern shown during this experience was unacceptable. As people of color dining in this establishment, the experience unfortunately left us questioning whether race may have played a role in how we were treated. I cannot say that definitively, but it certainly contributed to how uncomfortable and unwelcome we felt. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and one that should prompt management to evaluate both service standards and how concerns from guests are addressed.

Honestly, it's pretty terrible. It's SO bland, tastes like canned tomato sauce and has a strange sweet, almost cinnamon undertone. And the chips are pretty sub par as well. Salsa is one of those things that can be so amazing, but when done poorly its absolutely awful. Be sure to order a side of guac, which always seems to be fresh with plenty of cilantro!
