I gave this place an extra star just for having the cajones for staying open as long as they have on the Central Coast (particularly North County). It's pretty much the only place that caters to one's sexual needs, wants, cravings, etc (besides the odd shelf or two in Fanny Wrappers or a gag/head shop--that shit don't count foo'!). A decent place for adult toys and such on the central coast. When it comes to looking for sex toys, adult movies, and the like, selection is pretty limited around here, so Diamond Adult World is sort of the winner by default. Be cautious when going and do your homework, as there are a lot of cheap toys and novelties that will put a hole in a wallet without the accompanied smile on your face. Outside of the steep driveway, this place is a decent Adult store. I received excellent non-judgmental service. The employee was diligent, friendly, and respected the customer's privacy. Key traits to have in a Adult store employee. The layout is incredibly bare and it felt like it had this viewpoint of being a more upscale Adult store, but it just fell flat. The aisles are oddly diagonal making it difficult to navigate, but wide enough for people with disabilities to get through. I found the price range to be a bit stiff on a few products. Like, in the age of Amazon everything seems to be a bit too expensive, so I took that into account. Overall, I don't know if I would come back. She was catty and unpleasant, from the second I walked in, to the moment I left, in fact when I paid, she snatched the bill out of my hands, gave my change without another word, and then literally put my tights on the other side of the counter instead of just handing them to me.... didn't ask if I wanted my receipt, didn't say thank you - nothing..... I came in expecting to spend around $30-40. After being convinced by the manager to buy a "higher end" toy because it was "higher quality", I ended up dropping around $100. Not only did the toy break the first time I took it out of the box (it wasn't ever used!), they wouldn't even talk to me about an exchange/refund. I was told "I'll take a note for the manager, but don't expect to hear back from him." I was then told to contact the manufacturer, but they would give zero help in figuring out how to contact them (it was more difficult than I would expect). Waited a whole month to hear back from them, only to be told the product was discontinued (well gosh, I wonder why). So I had to pay another $20 shipping and handling for a similar product that I didn't even want--and another month later, I still haven't received the toy. I ended up spending $80 more than I intended to and still have absolutely nothing to show for it. Buy online. I understand that toys are a precarious thing to accept returns on, but this store's policy is rigid to an absurd degree for products that are overpriced and come with no guarantee that even the manufacturer will be able to help you.
