Wranglers were nice and did a good job of trying to accommodate everyone with the right horse. Not an easy task. Went out in two separate groups of about ten. Our wrangler Ross was great. Good kid. Horses behaved and followed their trail and line. No galloping or running but that's ok. Most of the riders were first timers. Beautiful scenery and two hours was just enough.

What my daughter (and I) loved most were the people - Sam was a great cook and friendly guide and our other guide Mariah was incredibly patient with my daughter's barrage of questions and let her help put away tack and feed the horses after the ride. A truly memorable Wyoming experience with many great memories.

I take picking out tours very seriously, because I hate taking them. I'm one of those people who likes to do things themselves, make my own itinerary, and being on a tour means other people dictate what I want to see. I did a lot of research and found a company I liked. However, the price was a bit outrageous and when I saw my hotel offering the same tour, with pick up from the hotel, not the middle of town, I took a chance. Well, that chance paid off really well because we had a fantastic time. Backcountry Safaris will sometimes use other companies because of demand and we actually were paired with Gus from Teton Wilderness Tours. If this happens to you, don't fret. It was amazing and I will cherish the memories we made with this day for years to come. We did the half day, sunrise Grand Teton Tour. We were the only ones on the tour that day so it felt very exclusive and it was like we paid for a private tour. Gus did everything he could to get us to see wildlife. We got some great shots of moose and we even saw 3, yes 3(!), bald eagles. We also learned a lot about the area and it's history. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts about the Teton area and explaining wildlife behavior in detail. During the 4-hour tour, we visited 6 to 7 different locations. The guide knew all the shortcuts and the best spots to find animals, which gave us great opportunities to observe them up close. The tour also provided water, drinks, and snacks in case we got hungry. We took so many amazing wildlife photos and enjoyed the entire experience.

What a lost opportunity because the food shed had some great ingredients that just begged to be eaten. 2) there was no trunk space to bring home groceries.
