*This is only for the Horseback Riding* Spent a great time horseback riding on this farm with a great view of the Grand Teton. This place was pretty busy, so we had to wait a bit for our group to go in. We got a group with one other group and an individual, and they were both so nice. When you get there, you just need to sign a waiver and wait on the stand where they have dogs and also a cat. They let you know the name of your horse, and there is a satchel to keep your stuff if needed. The staff were all really nice and patient, answering any questions you may have before you go off with your leader. My friend even had the fastest horse they have at that ranch! Be warned that the horses will poop and pee whenever and wherever. It truly was a sight to see. The ride was 90 minutes but a little more, as some of the horses kept going off path (Candy ), but it was nice and calming. A great experience with great views, even with the rain, that I definitely recommend. read more

I loved staying here, it is by no means a four star luxury hotel. The staff was kind and courteous, they weee very straight forward with the type of sleeping accommodations that were available. We contacted them in advance they forwarded us there were no fires. They strongly suggested that we have our own sleeping bags and pillows to stay in the teepees. read more

You never know what you're gonna get on a trail ride. Especially one at the end of the season. But, it was actually a pleasant surprise. Wranglers were nice and did a good job of trying to accommodate everyone with the right horse. Not an easy task. Went out in two separate groups of about ten. Our wrangler Ross was great. Good kid. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We booked this property via Hotels.com due to its proximity to the Tetons, from August 14th to August 17th. From their website, to the images posted on Hotels.com, it looked like a clean, cozy, outdoorsy type establishment. It was our first stop for our 11 day family, end of summer road trip through the Tetons, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Reno and finishing up at Crater Lake. We show up after 16+ hours of driving and are put in a room that looks absolutely nothing like what is posted. The bathroom was used with toothpaste and spit and soap in the sink, hair in the toilet and shower, so we had them send a girl to come wipe it down. The room was absolutely gross compared to what they are advertising on their website and Hotels.com. We are a family that backpacks so we are totally down with hiking type style messes but this room had hundreds of dead flies/bugs of all sorts in the window sill tracks, overhead lamps, this specific room had a busted chair, dirt/price tags/old duct tape/plastic tag pieces all on the bathroom floor, a clogged sink that wouldn't drain and smelled horrible. We specifically selected 'Pay Upon Arrival at Property' when booking the room via Hotels.com in case there was some false advertisement regarding the location and a few concerns with some of the reviews we read. We found out upon arrival that they had already charged our credit card on August 8th and could not offer a refund unless it was 7 days prior to showing up. (convenient for them). The guy at the front desk was dismissive, rude, and incredibly disrespectful. We now gather, based off of other reviews, this is a similar situation many have come across. We are pretty easy going people and don't make a big stink about a lot of things. We went in with genuine concerns of false advertisement and health concerns given we have a 6 year old and a 13 year old, along with our credit card being charged without our consent by the property, and were met with such disrespect. We were there in the room maybe 35 minutes. Went back to talk to the guy who said his name was "Nu", and said he would not give us any money back and that we were the ones "trying to scam them." (I will post pictures of what they put us in.) Mind you, it was about 10 feet or so from a dumpster from their restaurant that was NOT bear proof, with signs of "recent bear activity on the property" (we get it, we are bear aware, always come prepared, hiked through Yellowstone and many other places in bear country, my husband worked at Yellowstone, we are outdoorsy people, we get it - but not investing in bear proof trash receptacles within 10 feet of where your guests are staying, in bear country, seems irresponsible). Anyway, we ended up staying an hour away at Gravity Haus in Jackson Hole (only place we could find that had a room available and we needed to sleep after 16+ hours of straight driving). We have escalated it through Hotels.com but the property is still not wanting to make this situation right even with us not staying a single night there. Cost us $850 bucks. Do not support this business who clearly knows it is misrepresenting its amenities via the photos it posts on its website and at third party sites like Hotels.com and charges your card even when selecting "Pay Upon Arrival at Property: during check-in or check-out." (yes, that was pulled from the fine print so its been verified that is what's supposed to happen). Hope this helps even just one family. Hundred percent not worth any of it. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I wish we had listened to the bad reviews before booking here, because this place completely ruined what should have been a wonderful honeymoon.. We booked the "secluded" honeymoon cabin and what we walked into was absolutely disgusting. The towels looked used, dust was caked on surfaces, the floors were filthy, mouse droppings on the floor, and dead bugs throughout the cabin. This was not a minor housekeeping oversight, the room looked like it had not been properly cleaned or prepared for guests at all. In reviews I saw a few people give the LACK of cleaning the excuse that it's a "dude ranch", and that's delusional, there truly is no excuse for what was paid. To make matters worse, we arrived at night due to flight delays/wedding stuff and there was no working exterior lighting around our cabin let alone a good path to find it at night in general. We were standing outside in the pitch dark trying to figure out where the door even was.. Considering how remote the property is and the fact that this is bear country, it felt incredibly unsafe. In the end we refused to stay and left immediately. There was no reliable cell service/wifi and no one available for us to actually resolve the situation with that night, so we had to drive all the way back to Jackson hole, scrambling to find somewhere else to stay. Which of course, finding last-minute lodging in that town was expensive. We contacted Heart 6 the next morning and asked for a refund since we did not stay there at all, were told someone would call us back, and that call never came. We followed up again and were still denied a refund. At this point, we'll likely have to dispute the charge because they hide behind their 7 day cancellation policy, meaning you have to cancel long before arriving/seeing your room. We did speak with locals who had extremely negative things to say about the ranch and its reputation. We were told locals refer to it as "Heart Sucks." because of how awful they are. It's run down, dirty and they clearly don't care. Poor management. Said their horses are dangerous to ride, lack proper training, and they'll run off or buck you if you're not careful - staff does not care either if you get hurt. Again: If you are reading the bad reviews wondering whether people are just being dramatic like we did..please believe them. I literally cried in my wedding dress inside a dirty cabin on my honeymoon. Such a lovely memory. Save your money, save yourself the stress, and stay somewhere else. read more

We were VERY worried reading the reviews. We were pretty happy with it. The location is BEAUTIFUL! It is what it is-clean enough, good for what it is- it's very affordable compared to what's in the area. No AC which was rough for our summer trip. Walls really are as thin as it says in other reviews. We could hear every conversation and sneeze in the room next to us. Bring earplugs for sure!! The restaurant prices are a joke and the food is terrible! Anything for breakfast is $20 and burgers almost $30 and they automatically added a 20% gratuity for our meal for a family of 4 . *This review is for the Trailride with Cookout only. From what I could see of the facilities on the outside, and the condition of the public bathrooms/showers, I would give the lodging a 1-star. We booked the trail ride with cookout for our last night of our trip. It was expensive (they include a 6% tax and 20% gratuity in all orders), but I thought it would be a fun splurge for our teen who loves horses and to ride. The conditions of the living areas on the drive up started to make me nervous...everything was run down, dusty, and dirty. I know this is a ranch, but it seemed like the place needed TLC. However, the two guides we had were very professional and nice, and I appreciated they gave me a horse that was very gentle when I told them I was nervous. Dinner was already prepared when we got there, so it wasn't much of a "cookout" as it was a picnic dinner at the top. However, dinner was absolutely delicious, and the views of the mountains and river from our table were gorgeous. No water available with dinner, but they did have canned soda. After dinner, you ride approx. 10 more minutes back to the coral you started at. Overall, this was probably the most scenic trailride I've ever done, the food was good, and my family enjoyed it. I don't regret doing it, I just wish I didn't pay so much for it. I would have given it 5-stars if I didn't feel it was overpriced. read more

To start, upon arrival our key broke off in the door lock so we had to request maintenance to come fix it. Upon entrance to the room, it was absolutely filthy. The floors were disgusting, there were towels stuffed into the door jam to block the draft, the room was tiny with no desk/counter space. The bathroom was filthy, one of the bed frames was broken so the mattress sagged, a huge crack in the front window, windows did not open, there was drink bottles from previous guest left in the window sill. The window in the door that opened straight to the bed could not be covered. There was no room service so we had to handle our own trash, with only one tiny bathroom sized trash can. In bear country, this was shocking. The walls are so thin you can hear surrounding guests conversations and every move. Extremely disruptive and disturbing. They claim internet, but you could only use it down at the lodge, and in an area with zero cell reception this is unacceptable. The restaurant was atrocious. They had no glassware, told us we could only have water at dinner if we brought our own bottle, or purchased one from them. The food was expensive and absolutely disgusting. Burger was overcooked, cold, fries were cold and mushy. This place was so terrible we ended up leaving early and had to pay to book another hotel. I absolutely would not recommend this dump to anyone. read more

Rustic does not mean run down. This place was probably nice 10 years ago but is in neglect and in need of repair. GOOD: Close to entrance to Teton National Park and great views (see pictures). Pancakes and waffles are both delicious. The manager was nice. BAD: Where to start... OK, they have a mandatory 20% tip AND still leave in the line for an additional tip to sucker those who don't read the receipt carefully. With that tip and $18 for 2 slices of french toast, the only "service" is bringing out the food. I have to fetch utensils, syrup, etc., and they don't provide water. You're welcome to pay for a disposable cup or bring your own up to the bar and they will fill it. Three pieces of bacon will set you back another $10. Bad coffee is another $5. Breakfast for 4 was $118. OUCH! If you're planning to visit the park, it's only 16 miles to the Jackson Lake Lodge and a much less expensive meal, eh. Want a to-go meal? That's $5 extra charge. BAD: I had to ask to have the communal bathroom cleaned. TP dispenser and hand towel dispenser don't work (see picture). Rooms have no AC (ok, it is rustic) and no screens on the doors/windows (rustic does NOT mean I want mosquitos and flies in my room). No dressers in room and no hooks to hang clothes on. No maid service. Towels are only refreshed every 3 days. BAD: There is some lukewarm water, but no hot water and the flow rate in the shower is so low that people with long hair are destined to spend an eternity trying to get the soap out. BAD: The decks could be really nice, but sag about a foot and have uneven surfaces, so be careful walking! BAD: OK, this isn't totally their fault, but there are mice and mice droppings. We experience this and so did others we talked to. Why not their fault: the Wyoming jumping mouse is endangered AND this place is on forest service land. If you want to hear your neighbor's going to the bathroom, this is the place! read more

Not sure what people are saying about the rooms but we did a horseback riding excursion with them. There were five of us. I will say when they say 240lb max they will go up to 250 but after that you can't ride. We had two fellas that were on the fence but allowed to ride. The fella behind us was not so lucky. I had been coming here for lunch for almost 20 years. I went this summer for the first time, and was absolutely disgusted by the prices. We paid almost $80 for two chicken tender baskets and two milkshakes. I seriously could not even fathom how they think they could charge even close to that. The food is fine at best, really just kept coming back for the routine and atmosphere. Unfortunately I will not be coming back ever again unless they decide to make a burger for less than $25. Wow, Really wanted to like this opportunity to experience WY but just couldn't get past ALL the things. We were in a cabin; none of the electrical outlets worked and the front desk offered nothing in the way of assistance. The windows and surfaces were dusty. Nowhere else nearby to grab a bite so off to the bar we went. The bar only had draft beer and weird whiskey. Wine and bottled beer aren't perishable... The menu is very limited and basic which would be fine except for the fact that in order to get a beverage (water, soda, iced tea) you MUST purchase the souvenir cup for $5. Coffee for breakfast? Must purchase the souvenir mug. The nickel and diming is insulting. Beds were comfortable but that's all I've got in the positive column. For the nightly rate I expected a bit more "hospitality", service, quality food and no surprise up charges. read more

We went here mid-June for horseback riding in the Tetons. Please take note: THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THEIR HORSEBACK RIDERS. They are concerned about volume of riders. Once you sign a waiver, it doesn't matter if you get hurt. They won't voluntarily offer a helmet, NOT EVEN TO KIDS. No kids were wearing helmets. Several of their horses are untrained and stubborn. They gave my partner a horse that wasn't trained. They said it was "coming out of an injury". It is not the customer's job, or a first time horse rider's job to train a horse. That is very dangerous. The horse attacked other horses by charging them and biting them. It galloped along the entire ride and was aggressively snorting. The guide did nothing but yell at the rider. I wouldn't go here for anything, it is a poorly run business for profit. Other reviews show people actually being bucked off of their horses. So it's a dude ranch! Not fancy. Our beds were comfy we stayed in the lodge our bathroom needed a better cleaning!!!! The trash in the two communal bathrooms were overflowing... The website is misleading the restaurant is closed they only have the cafe open which is not bad food but it's very basic hamburgers , eggs bacon pancakes , biscuits were cold n hard gravy was canned I think ... my son is a chef so I kinda know . The VIEW OMG was spectacular. The STAFF is fabulous I just think they need more staff . Look it's priced family friendly I I always bring my Clorox wipes I'm always ready to step up and make it the best experience! The rafting float was one of the best floats Ive ever had !!! We went horseback riding with Heart Six Ranch. The trail guides were so friendly. The process of getting checked in and going over "things to know" went smoothly. Our guides, Lauren and Addi, were great. They made sure we stayed safe and guided us when needed. This place is horrible! When we arrived someone had just mowed and left grass all over our porch to our cabin. They also left a gas can sitting outside our cabin all night. Inside the cabin was filthy, like it hadn't been cleaned at all. The toilet was so dirty and there were past guest's garbage under our bed. It also had spiders and bugs in the carpeting and the sink and shower. The wait staff tried, but they couldn't keep up with the food orders. Also, there was no A/C and paper walls, for which we heard the other guest's talking and laughing and snoring all night! The food prices were ridiculous. A cup of water was $6! While the desk staff were very kind people, this place is way over-priced for the accommodations. We rented a 2-bedroom "superior" cabin for 2 nights and left after the first night. The entry way was dirty with a non-working refrigerator that stunk when we opened to check it. Since it didn't work we had no options for the food and drinks in our cooler. The bathroom had a clump of hair on the floor and toilet hadn't been properly cleaned as evidenced by the pubic hair on the seat. It felt very dirty overall and while we recognize it was meant to be more of a rustic feel, at nearly $1000 for nights it was far overpriced. read more

Worst experience We've (tried)stayed in. We were driving and on our way we found this place. Pictures and wagon experience seemed cool. Front desk was closed by this time (11pm) and the guy from the kitchen who is also a cook (very nice person) helped us to purchase 2 wagons and check in. He also explained how to get to our wagons and gave us a map. The first wagon (for me and my boyfriend)was completely out of electricity. Room was extremely cold, and the heater wouldn't turn on. The "room" itself was dusty and smelled unpleasantly. The grass around the wagon was up to my knees. Our friends with the 7 yo kid in the second wagon had no working heater as well. Moreover, their wagon was not cleaned after previous customers, they were not sure, if somebody else is still there and maybe to expect somebody to come back (I have pictures and video). We decided to leave this place immediately and stopped by the restaurant and front desk to notify the guy who helped us about the issues. However, nobody was to be found. We had to book another hotel around. Next morning our friend drove to Heart Six Ranch to get a refund. The staff (who introduced himself as Joe) was rude and didn't want to accept our complaints. Refused to return money. He contacted his boss, and by the end he told our friend that we will receive our money back in 2-4 business days. (For 2 wagons) Guess what, we received $0 back. We contacted Heart Six Ranch again. The same person Joe told us that he didn't say anything about refund and we won't get anything back. More so, he said that apparently it was a user error to turn the lights on( funny right?) I could go on but im not going to waste any more time. I have honestly never been anywhere and met such rude two faced staff. If you are not majorly botherd by the cleanliness of your room and want an interesting experience, like to stay in the wagon, ride horses (as the offer) and etc - all this is the place for you. My travel focus was to venture into Yellowstone National Park, and I wanted to stay as close to the park as possible. I called Heart Six Ranch and a man named Terri answered my call, this guy was a breath of fresh mountain air! His positive energy could be heard through the phone. I ended up staying three nights total. I woke up early everyday and had biscuits and gravy for breakfast at the café (part of the ranch). After, a long day of mini-expeditions through the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone I would come back to the café and have a Grizzly Burger with a local IPA! Not only were the meals fantastic but they were served by the friendliest staff members named Sarah, Taylor and Maddie. After breakfast, I would take a walk to check out the views; in the morning and evening, if you're lucky you get to watch a showcase of horses go by! What a blast it was to watch these animals in their natural habitat! There also a lot of sweet ranch pets (if you point a finger gun at one of the pups and say "bang!" he plays dead LOL) More importantly, every night I SLEPT GREAT!!! Best sleep ever. *Sidenote: I traveled during Labor Day weekend and if you are traveling to and from the airport I highly recommend you stay here. The location of this property has a beautiful view of the Tetons. The property is infested with mosquitos that make enjoying the view impossible. We stayed in a wagon that had unrepaired holes in the canvas and screen that allowed those bloodsuckers in. My children have blown up like the Michelin man from the number of bites they've gotten. The interior of the wagons heats up to approximately the temperature of the surface of the sun during the day, even with the canvas flaps open. Then at night it drops to close to freezing so I'd recommend packing for all seasons if you're coming to visit. The bathrooms are filthy disgusting on the lower side of the facility near the stables and flooded and dirty on the upper side of the facility. Since this is all there are and there's nowhere else around - pick your poison. The grounds are unkempt. If they mowed the grass it might help with the mosquito problem. The diner has ok food. The seating is cramped. It's also grossly overpriced. The staff is friendly and engaging with one notable exception. Staff is not well trained across the board although they're friendly. Wrangler Denver and crew saddled us up and led us to the top of mountain. Dismounted and tied the horses to a stand of trees where we enjoyed a spectacular Teton view with sack lunches. Denver is an honest to God Cowboy from a seriously cowboy adventuring family. Ask him about his grandma who ranches up the valley. He will remind you more so of Kayce Dutton then Rip but he's young, give him time. I'd do this trip again over and over. Remember tip your wrangler. Wasn't expecting too much when coming here because of the poor reviews left online but was instantly impressed when entering. Upon entering, we were greeted with exceptional service in the main checkin and received linens, pillows, towels, and blankets for our stay in the wagon. Getting to the wagons was simple with lots of parking and space. There were lots of bad reviews about the bathroom but seriously have these people never gone camping! The bathrooms were completely normal and nice; they even contained showers with good pressure and temperature.The interior of the wagon was gigantic with two bunk beds and a KING bed! I was not expected so much room and amenities! The entire atmosphere at the ranch was an amazing experience, there were over a hundred horses roaming free and they also offered a scenic horse riding experience! Overall with the reasonable prices and AMAZING experience, I would definitely recommend for anyone and i would definitely go back! read more

Nasty trap tucked between many awesome choices in Buffalo valley. Don't make the same mistake we did believing the awesome fotos. It is expensive, filthy and poorly maintained. Maybe it was nice 20 years ago but now it is plain crap. Rip off restaurant and rooms are disgusting and aren't ever cleaned. Run!!!! read more

Beautiful views, for the most Part friendly service. Outrageous prices. 18.00 for a burger and fries, no drink. 2.00 for water. Order at the bar type of service BUT gratuity added for everything but no waitress. Can not "add ons" without ordering a main course. Menu is not consistent. Potatoes one day, hash browns the next. Great place to stay... just bring your own food or drive the little bit to a local town or Jackson Hole. Zero amenities in our room... a bed, bathroom lamp and rocking chair. read more

Don't do it! The property is poorly run on many levels. To start, they are on a well system and run out of water when not properly managed. This could be for a few hours or weeks because they have not installed a system to measure and alert them of low water levels. The technology and systems exist to aid with well systems. However, they do not have a preventative maintenance program or use existing technology to proactively manage their well system. Subsequently guests suffer as a result. This really sucks when you have been on a five day back country trip on horseback and paid $250 a night for the room and arrived utterly dingy and exhausted coming out of the mountains and the shower on back country trip was better and more reliable than the one at Heart Six Resort. The room was not clean. There was a dried out, used wash cloth hanging over the shower rod used by the previous guests still in the room. My daughter had hay and dirt in her bed when she turned it down. The ceiling was also stained from water or other damage. When we checked in, the majority of the staff appeared to be having social hour in the kitchen/staff area and told us to come back at 3pm as if we were an inconvenience and did not even check to see if an early check in was an option for us (I would have gladly paid extra). I brought my frustrations up to the General Manager and he made a series of excuses and offered nothing to remedy the situation or make the inconveniences experienced right. A hot shower, clean room, and a comfortable bed are minimum requirements in the hospitality industry. This place failed on all levels. We stayed at the Hatchet Resort at the beginning of the trip and it was great minus a few mosquitos who made their way into the room. We would have stayed there again but it was booked up. They seem to be a well run facility with great amenities, and restaurants. Lodging is limited in the area. If you can't stay at the Hatchet, opt for camping, or head into Dubois or Jackson Hole for lodging. Don't stay here unless you're good with bad service and a disappointing room and bad experience. Also, there was no TV, coffee pot, microwave, or mini fridge available in the room...Not a deal breaker for me but for $250 a night, I definitely expect better. read more
