I work in the health care industry, made an appointment for my boy routine every 6 months dental check up, spoke to dr herself and front ent receptionist, that we will pay out of pocket, they quote $89 including X-ray and cleaning, I said this is great price, Today my boy went to appt, they charge $240 , says only X-ray and check without cleaning price will be$89, dental cleaning ( regular) it will cost us $150 !!!! DO NOT HO THIS DENTAL OFFICE IF YOU PAY OUT OF POCKET, they're misleading and won't tell you the exact price until you get surprised by the price you need to pay. I'll spread the words to my coworkers and my other colleagues in the other health dept . So disgusting to deal with them. read more

This dentist just wants more money from the insurance company and doesn't care about patient expense.dentist just wanted to be paid money for the free crown he put on cause he didn't do it right the first time and it kept popping off. My wife had emergency gum problem went over to see Dr. Patel. He took one look and said this is not his area and asked her to come back next day where there is specialist on site. She made appointment for 11:30am and was asked to pay $75 fee up front (Why? I have never heard to collect office visit fee before even see doctor) but she did. She went next day, waited for almost one hour, there was another patient before her was waiting too. He couldn't wait any longer and left. My wife had to go back to work so after more than one hour wait later she asked for her $75 back and left. No explanation at all. Even the receptionist was kind of embarrassed. The "specialist" did not even show up. I have no idea all these 5 stars review came from. I was going to switch to this practice and called many times, no one answer the phone. I had tried use online chat to communicate, according to them they will reply "immediately", after question sent and waited for 3 minutes no one came online. I gave up. read more

I had a tooth emergency and I was able to get in immediately first thing in the morning the next day, and I had the best experience from the entire staff. The doctor explained everything thoroughly for me. The doctor also walked me through my procedure and assured me that his recommendations would help me down the line with any other tooth issues that I could potentially have had. I've been a patient for 10+ years, but have decided it's time to move on. The change in receptionist from a knowledgeable insurance-savvy woman to the dentist's wife just doesn't cut it for me. The wife is rude, heartless, and clueless. She tried charging $10 to provide me a receipt "copy" that was never given to me in the first place and she has no idea what is needed for FSA reimbursement so simply asks meaningless question upon question. In addition, I noticed that the last claim with Delta Dental charged for X-rays which I never did get. I'm sorry to leave a great dentist and friendly dental staff, but I'm not okay with insurance fraud and people who give me the runaround. Goodbye. read more

This is my go-to place for my checkups, and Britney did an amazing job in cleaning my teeth and helping me answer all my questions.

The worse dentist I have ever paid a fortune to. Last August I paid about $1500 for a crown for my son. His gums have been bothering him ever since then but figured his gums were sensitive anyway. Since he turns 26 soon we had him come back and get a final check up but I had him go to my dentist instead. I stopped seeing Patel when he sold me a bridge and couldn't get it to fit without hurting. I never went back. So my son sees my new dentist and we find out several things- all of which we have pictures of. Patel didn't make the crown fit under the gum line, so food was getting between the crown and the gum. There was massive decay on the remains of the tooth. He also drilled into the next tooth to get the crown to fit. The next step is small claims court to get our money back. When I get photos I'll post them. My wife was seeing Patel though I've encouraged her to switch. Now she will. read more

I actually never even stepped foot in their facility but was beyond impressed with their emergency response service. I called with a tremendous painful infection at 6pm. They made arrangements to see me at 9 am the next morning. They sent me paperwork to fill out so I wouldn't have to do it there. He even gave me advice on how to manage the pain through the night. I didn't end up going because my original dentist called me back and had an opening at 8am. I gave 5 stars because if he was so accommodating to call me back and text me multiple times to make sure it would be a smooth visit then I am sure the visit would have been great too. read more

The dental team here is awesome! I moved to Diamond Bar in 2017, and two months later, I had an inflamed tooth from food stuck between two teeth. I called up late in the day, and Dr. Patel saw me, pulled the food out and didn't charge me. He just said, come back some time! He is now my regular dentist. His prices are fair, and his team will do everything they can to support your schedule. He also has great relationships with other dentists and oral specialists in the neighborhood - his references have been spot on. I called this office and let them know that I am pregnant but need a cleaning. I told the person who answered the phone that I need a cleaning but do not want an X-ray. She said no problem and booked my appointment. They call me a few later and let me know that the doctor needs to do an X-ray in order to do my cleaning. I said I don't feel comfortable and she said the doctor told me to get a note from my OB advising that I cannot get the X-ray. Why do I need a note from my OB when I do not feel comfortable? I wasted an hour of my life with my insurance company trying to switch over to them because my old dentist refused to do it without an X-ray as well. Stop wasting people's time - everyone should be on the same page. If you cannot do it without an X-ray- the person in the front desk should decline right away. read more
