This is by far the best place to get your teeth checked up and done. Why you ask? Well pictures are worth a thousand words and my previous dentist in south OC was so damn lazy and did such a crappy work at fixing my cavities with fillings that I had to have them redone. Now my teeth actually feels clean thanks to the wonderful people at this dental group and Dr James C

Before and After I'm scared of the dentist period. This is my first time I ever had excellent service, where I felt comfortable and educated on what is going on with my teeth. You can ask any question and the doctor and staff will answer. Staff is super friendly as well! Totally recommend!

I've had dental implants done here, as well as deep cleanings in the past, and every experience has been positive. Dr. Lee is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely caring. The office staff are also wonderful--friendly, helpful, and well organized. The whole office has a calm, welcoming atmosphere that makes dental visits much less stressful. Highly recommend Dr. Joseph Lee and Diamond Creek Dental to anyone looking for long-term, trustworthy dental care.

I've known my dentist, Dr. Sanjay Doshi, for nearly 30 years, as he was my mom's dentist for over…read more25 years and he's been my dentist for the past couple of years. In May of 2025, I received a diagnosis of a highly aggressive, highly metastatic head & neck cancer, of the tonsil, over nine lymph nodes and base of tongue. This type of oropharyngeal cancer threw me into a club that no one should ever be a part of. I was told that without immediate, intensive radiation and chemo (requiring extensive other treatment radiation dentistry), it was terminal. I was given weeks to months. The condition was serious. And time wasn't on my side. After being assessed by my oncology team, I was informed I required the highest level of radiation a patient could be given (70), all the way around my neck, and that I would potentially have dental decay, lose some or all of my teeth have jaw bone decay or even jaw death. My physicians and specialists, including Dr. Doshi, were surprised about my diagnosis. But Dr. Doshi was always confident, from the very start, that I'd get through this, though time was not on my side. He gave me hope from the very start that I would not only survive, but that I would come through this on the other side, and thrive. Thankfully, he was right. Dr. Doshi immediately took me under his dental care, for radiation dentistry, immediately contacted my radiation oncologist, coordinated with him, and began to prep me for radiation (radiation of this nature should never begin until all dental decay and pending dental issues have been addressed). This involved a great deal of work. I never felt overwhelmed about the dentistry, as Doshi took care to keep me safe while working at warp speed to expedite my dental care needs, so that I could quickly begin my treatments. In one month, Dr Doshi did a year's worth of dental work, and he instantly became the a key figure in my cancer care team. Or as I call them, my dream team. He handled my imaging, testing, exams, x-rays, 3 necessary root canals, he had necessary custom fitted, upper and lower radiation guards made (to protect my teeth and gums from radiation during radiation), and a custom fitted, upper and lower fluoride trays, for my daily care, post radiation and chemo. He worked with precision and speed, to ensure I went into my cancer treatments healthy and strong. I went into my treatments with no dental issues or oral infections. It was a brutal cancer treatment. Only someone who's been through this level and type of treatment can truly know how brutal, but I made it through. Thankfully, I am in remission. With a less than 5% chance of recurrence. Radiation to the neck and head can seriously compromise one's dental health, in the short term and long term, so radiation dentistry is necessary before and indefinitely after such an intensive cancer treatment. So I will continue to see Dr. Doshi, moving forward, for closer care - involving more frequent cleanings, more frequent dental exams, and laser gum therapy - to minimize the chances of greater dental damage down the line. He's gone above and beyond in ensuring my dental health is tended to so that my quality of life can be improved upon and hopefully maintained for the remainder of my years. And simultaneously, Thanks to Dr. Doshi, 7 months after cancer treatment ended, I've not lost a single tooth, while other patients reported loss of many or all teeth. I hope to spare my teeth for the long run.

I took my mother here for a consultation after seeing so many glowing Yelp reviews. Unfortunately,…read moreour experience was the complete opposite. During the consultation, he recommended extracting all of my mother's teeth. After reading other reviews afterward, I was surprised to see similar experiences described by other patients. That raised concerns for me because it seemed to be a recurring theme. The consultation itself was also very unpleasant. While I was quietly looking at my phone researching other dentists, his demeanor became rude, condescending, and unprofessional. We were so uncomfortable that we walked out before the consultation was even finished. One thing I also noticed is that many of the negative reviews seem to receive responses disputing or denying the reviewers' experiences. If he responds to this review by claiming he doesn't recommend full-mouth extractions, I can only speak to what happened during our consultation: that is exactly what he recommended for my mother. Another thing that struck me as unusual was that he appeared to have no office staff. He answered the phone himself, scheduled the appointment himself, and handled everything personally. At first, I thought that level of involvement was a nice personal touch. After our experience, however, it left me questioning the practice. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this office. I strongly encourage anyone considering major dental work, especially something as significant as extracting all of their teeth, to get one or even two additional opinions before moving forward.

Then came crown lengthening and periodontal surgery. Later, I learned that the healing process after periodontal surgery could take several weeks, which was something I had not fully understood beforehand. The permanent crown experience was very different from my previous crown experience at the same clinic last year. I was amazed to learn that a molar crown could be made in the office and ready in about 20 minutes. "A crown in 20 minutes?" That was definitely a first for me. I left thinking, "Finally, I can chew normally again!"My tooth had a different idea. The chewing surface of this 20-minute crown turned out to be completely flat, lacking any proper shape. After trying to eat that day, I immediately experienced pain and realized my chewing journey was not over yet. After more than two months of living on the "soft food plan," I have learned two important lessons: good teeth are priceless, and having a good dentist makes a huge difference. I definitely did not expect my teeth to turn into such a long-term project.

100% RECOMMEND I've…read morebeen sitting on writing a review on Dr. Chen and Skyline dental since forever but I'm finally taking the time! I became a new patient a little over a year ago and I was lucky to find Skyline Dental was in network with my Healthnet PPO dental insurance. I was beginning to tire of my old family dentist (he's literally old and had outdated everything) whom I went to because my parents had been going to him for YEARS but he neglected my teeth and would rather partake in pointless conversation with dental tools in hand! (His name is Dr. Eugene Sekiguchi in Monterey Park if you're wondering) The check-in staff is extremely friendly and patient-something that is a rarity as I've seen many other places with horrible reviews only because the front clerks were jerks. Here, it is nothing like that! Wendy (I believe her name is) gave me a clear price breakdown for everything EVEN IF I CHOSE NOT TO ACCEPT SERVICES. She also gave me a chance to choose which services I'd like to be done and ONLY charged me for those services I approved to be performed (kind of like when you take your car in for service). The dental assistants are also very friendly, efficient, personable, and knowledgeable. On my first visit, they gave me a full check-up and consultation on the health status of my teeth-something my previous dentist kept me COMPLETELY IN THE DARK ABOUT. That was how I found out I had 5 cavities (which explains my minor tooth aches) as well as SEVERE tooth damage due to grinding my teeth at night (because stress). I was under the impression my teeth were 100% healthy due to previous dentist. When Dr. Chen took clear pictures of my teeth for records he took the time to show me that they were really worn down and that I needed to take preventative measures before it gets worse. He also took the time to show me clear x-rays of my cavities, explaining to me exactly what we were looking at. He also talked to me about getting braces should I choose to get them in the future. I have pretty naturally straight teeth IMO and he never made me feel ashamed of my choice not to get braces. These are things I would've never known had I kept going to my old dentist. Harvey, you seriously saved my teeth! On my second visit, I got the first 2 cavities on my bottom jaw taken care of. Mind you, this would be my first time ever getting real nitty gritty work done. I was a little late to this appointment but I called in advance and they still took me! Dr. Chen gave me a little extra to numb the area since it was my first time which was super cool of him. I was drooling like a baby after but my first time experience was a breeze! On my third visit, I got the remaining 3 cavities removed and filled on the top jaw and I literally wanted to fall asleep in the chair. I was very comfortable with their work and felt relaxed and not so anxious as the first time (also had to factor in that I work at 7am and my appointment was after work at 3:30pm). Literally left feeling like a new human after! Unfortunately, I am moving soon and had a change in dental insurance since I got married so I may no longer be coming to Skyline dental (due to the distance it will be from new home) but I would definitely 100% recommend them if they are in network with your insurance!
