Please read before considering this office. I have been a patient here for 30 years. When Dr. Young and Dr. Short sold the practice, I stayed because I like familiarity and I liked my hygienists. The way this office now operates is just disgraceful. The front desk is a mess. They are terrible with billing and I have had multiple occasions where my information is incorrect. For an entire YEAR they did not tell me that my same insurance was no longer in network. Suddenly I am handed a bill of over $600. Apparently, my appointments were no longer covered, but they never bothered to tell me nor did they actually bill me. The new doctors are money hungry and are constantly pushing extra treatments. They give you freebies for writing five star reviews while in the chair in front of them. I ignored some of the shady business since I liked the staff, but enough is enough. read more

Just wanted to give a shout out to the team at Diamond Bar Dental Studio. I went to get my teeth cleaned and the staff was great. Front office was super friendly and my Hygienist was awesome. I had issues in the past with teeth sensitivity when trying whitening and Dr. Cho suggested that I give it another try and use their "Smile" system. Never got the dental service so not sure how it is. I just don't understand how new patient has to pay $99 flat fee. I went to multiple clinics in my life and I never have to pay for new patient and insurance covers all of my X ray. I asked for clarification for why there is a fee. "Along with your Comprehensive exam we take a series of digital xrays, a health & wellness scan. Your plan has limitations that will apply and will only allow certain images. The $99 fee is a flat fee for services that have those limitations." They send this same message twice. Then this fee has to be applied for any exams any time then? Why it is a new patient flat fee? read more

I'm terrified of dental work but Dr. Jung was very nice and informative when it came to what she thought was best for me. We reviewed my images and discuss the issues at hand and focused on the critical items first. She was also very gentle when working on my teeth and took the time to inject me slowly with the numbing agent so it wouldn't hurt so much. Jessica was the person who did my teeth cleaning on another occasion and she was also very gentle and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I am absolutely NOT a fan of the dentist. I've had bad experiences in the past that have kept me away from the dentist for entirely too long. I know the state of my teeth isn't great and so I've also avoided going for a long time for fear of judgement and fear of how much work it would take to get myself back to a good place. A couple days ago, though, some tooth pain on the left side of my mouth just got to be too much and since I'm pregnant, I didn't want anything to effect my health and my baby's health and I faced the facts - I needed to go see the dentist. My husband had already been to this office and recommended that we go there. First off, I love how quickly they were able to get me in and take care of the pain and the issue. I've been twice now in the last few days and they are quick to get you in and quick to take care of you. The office is gorgeous and nice and everyone there is just as nice. I came in with extreme anxiety and nerves and everyone truly is so kind and reassuring. I also appreciated that the kindness that Dr. Jeon showed when talking through what needed to be done about my dental care. She was blunt and straightforward but with reassurance and absolutely NO judgement which felt SO nice. She and the dental assistant that worked on me for the two hour root canal that I struggled through were so great. The patience they have and the kind and gentle nature they have while performing dental work is just amazing and beyond appreciated. I also seriously appreciated that they always explain what they're doing before they do it so I could be prepared. Toward the end of my procedure, I got overwhelmed and upset and overstimulated and started to have a slight panic attack, crying a bit, and truly they were so kind and patient. I went back today to clean a bit up of the root canal from the other day and it was such a quick and comfortable process. For now, we've just done emergency care because I'm pregnant but we have a plan for me to come back after pregnancy to get my dental health back to a good spot and I feel GOOD about it and I feel better about going into the dentist because of this office. Great bedside manner, great front desk ladies, everyone is just so nice, reassuring and patient and this is exactly the kind of dental office that everyone needs. Thank you guys so much! read more

I got to be a patient for the outreach implant event I needed an implant because of my dental anxiety I neglected getting treatment and had to get my tooth extracted i became really self conscious in smiling in photos when my smile is one of the things I was confident about, they were able to help me with my implant and bone graft and now I see why it would have been worth paying for the bone graft when I first got it extracted but shout out to Dr park he was able to place my implant and some bone graft and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be !!! I feel no soreness and little to no swelling!!! Whooo glory!! lol and to Dr Cho for the man with the dream and the plan and a dentist who care about helping the community with this free implant event ! My bone level is back to how I had it I'm so excited for it to heal and get my smile back and be able to smile in pictures again ! 10/10 experience lol read more

Quick, read this before they delete it. All reviews here, Dr. Jaewoo Cho, DDS, are 5 stars! Something wrong is going on. (PSEUDONYM NAME) I've been a patient along with my children at this dental practice for 4 decades through Drs. Young and Short...the very best professionals that made all of us feel like family. Their services and pricing were always reasonable. THEN, the business was sold to Dr. Jaewoo Cho, DDS. What a complete 180° difference, into the dirt, in every aspect of the dental services profession: starting with the most important - treating me, the patient, with antagonism and the last straw, with hostility. I am just a dollar sign. The dentist insisted I have full xrays before I could have my teeth cleaned and an exam by him. I explained that because my grandmother died from head and neck cancer caused by dental x rays, I only wanted them occasionally and when a mouth area looked suspicious. My xray records on file, were last taken 1.5 yrs ago. He gave me the ultimatum to have a full mouth set of x-rays done, this day, or he would not treat me! Period. I repeated my concern was for my health of preventing cancer, he replied, it's either today or you are no longer my patient! Nothing about how I could go home and think about and he'd be happy to treat me if I returned and followed his business rules. He shouted loudly, for all the office to hear that he wanted a dismissal letter on me. I Immediately felt like a dollar sign. He tried to bully me! That's not compassionate nor caring for patients. I'm an asset, not a liability. I proudly walked out with a huge smile, knowing I stood up to that bully, for my health! I'm so happy to report, I made the right decision not to go to a dentist who doesn't care about my health. read more

If you are planning to get any major procedures done here (tooth extraction, root canal, etc.), please do them at a specialist. In regards to the numerous 5 star reviews (on Google), immediately after your procedure/appointment, while you're still in the chair, they'll give you a QR code to leave a 5 star rating on Google and won't leave you until they see you do so. Put two and two together, their procedures aren't exactly 5 star quality. So before you want undiagnosed jaw pain for the rest of your life, think twice before making an appointment here. read more

I didnt want to write this review because I feel bad altering this practice's 5 star streak. However, unfortunately my experience was far from 5 star. I called and was quoted a flat 4500 for invisaline. I asked if the receptionist was certain of this price prior to going in for a consultation because I did not want to waste time. She assured me that it would be 4500. I called many other practices to ask for a quote and I ended up choosing this one for their reviews and because they had the lowest price. When the dentist asked me why I chose them and I mentioned their relatively low price he said "oh we can't have the lowest price, let's change it to 6500." So he really did invoice me 6500. I couldn't believe this level of unprofessionalism. If you feel are underpriced increase the price with the next customer but not with a customer you already quoted 4500. Because not only did I waste two hours going in for this bait and switch, but I also wasted $50 for their consultation. I do genuinely believe this dentist is the best of the best in terms of quality of work. However I felt adding 2k on the spot was subpar customer service. I found another dentist who was also surprised that they were on the lower end of pricing but ethically did the right thing and stood by those prices. I will be proceeding with them. read more

I've been going to this dentist office for many years and have always received excellent care with them. This year I turned 65 and gave myself the gift of Invisalign, and have been thrilled with the results! I thought I was too old, but Dr. Cho explained that my teeth and jaw could handle it and that by straightening my teeth now, it will most likely save me from having problems later on. The girl on the phone was nice. Went and asked questions to get me the answers I needed. I am looking for a dentist that can do two fillings. I know what the issue is. Either they can be fixed that way or not. I wanted to email x-rays so they know what I need. Yes, an exam is a good thing, but I don't want to pay $49 to do that, with no discount for already having x-rays taken days ago. And I don't need a "plan". Plans usually are their way to make the most amount of money. Yes, plans are good for extensive work needed, but not to do two filings in teeth 14 and 15. One's a cavity and the other the filing fell out. No "plan" involved in that. I need a dentist that looks says they can or cannot fix it and if they can do the work and tell me upfront the costs. The dentist that did the x-rays didn't charge for an extensive exam with x-rays, cancer screening and consultation. That's why he has such a beautiful office. Treat everyone with respect and don't get in their pockets just to look at their teeth. I'd rather pay more than have to pay for just coming through the door. To each his own I guess. read more

Imagine going to an dentist office that is so clean, so professional, so inviting, and top of the line you question whether or not all those bad memories you had as a kid were even real. Seriously, you'll feel like Timmy the tooth, you'll walk out of here so fresh and so clean. I went in to see dr. Cho and holy did this guy do a good job. Super knowledgeable; think he graduated from UCLA or something ? Anyways staff was extremely nice. Easy to set up an appointment, prices were more than reasonable considering the quality... I mean this guy has an Ig handle where other dentists come to him for advice. It's also pretty centrally locates makes coming in a breeze. Inside has a lot of things for the kids so they don't develop the same ptsd we have from dentists offices. Trust me on this one, just go check this place out. It's 11/10. read more

I am so appreciative of Dr Cho whom I have great confidence in now since he took over for my long time dentist of over 25 years when he retired. Dr Cho is not only warm & personable but he offers so many updated technologies & his quality of work & credentials are very impressive. What had helped me the most recently was seeing a sign posted by the front desk about offering sedation for those who struggle with procedures. I'd seen it before but realizing that was why I'd been putting off a double crown replacement. My age and physical condition added more stress. So I called and asked about it and the doctor was kind enough to offer to let me text what my concerns were. bottom line is since both crowns really needed attention I decided to do both at the same time and set up a sedation visit. I had been sedated many times in the past but this type was very new and different and worked fantastically well. After having oral medication provided prior I was so relaxed as the setup took place And that helped immensely. The grogginess increased so I could relax even more. Then the last step was inhaling the final medication as decided by the doctor. I feel he only uses the amount he believes is necessary to achieve the best outcome. I had a couple of brief recollections and could obey a command but then would drift back to sleep. This was truly the best experience I've ever had in my life regarding a crown or root canal. I won't hesitate to use this again on any future procedures of this nature. And now I can look forward to proceeding on to getting some orthodontic work. If anyone else reads this and thinks they can't face another dental procedure or has put things off--don't. There is help, so don't hold off and ask! read more

I went to see Dr Cho for a second time today to complete an onlay I've had on a tooth that's been bothering me for a very long time. My wife is a dentist, but her office only takes university students. She had been following Dr Cho because she said his gold work is amazing. Anyways, she set up appointments for us and our 15 month old son. On my first visit, I noticed that the office was a little out of the way but close to the freeway. The office is very clean, they had a play area for kids (closed due to covid) and greats stories of how they took over the practice from the previous owners. I interacted with a dental assistant, a dental assistant with expanded functions (Maria), a hygienist (Tamara), and Dr. Cho. The assistants were so nice, professional but also had good senses of humor. They even give you a little chapstick so that your lips don't dry out, so nice. They were all talkative, but were all interesting. You definitely feel like this is a family oriented practice. Dr. Cho is also very funny, warm and very welcoming. He also seems to have all the latest equipment and gadgets, and also seems to be very knowledgeable in his field. In spite of using cutting edge technology, my wife says he uses a very conservative approach, opting to use traditional techniques in order to save teeth instead of using faster, cheaper options that would remove teeth. In my case, she said Dr Cho gave me a gold onlay, which is basically a crown that cover half the tooth. She said it takes a lot of time and skill to do, and most dentists don't do them, but at least I have half a tooth left to work with. Guess that's a good thing. I've never read Yelp reviews for a dentist before, but if I did I would just want to know that the dentist is honest, does good work, and has my best interests in mind. I give this practice 5 stars because they so thoroughly met all those marks for me. read more
