It kept good time and everything worked as it should except the seconds hand would not return to the 12 o'clock position, more like 11:58 when I finished using the chronograph. Two weeks later Eric tells me it will cost $845 to fix my problem! Now this is a watch that cost under $100 at the Ft Rucker post exchange in 1972. No thanks, I said and went to pick up the watch. Eric was not there but his father was and after some grumbling found and returned my watch which now did not run and the seconds hand was stuck at the 2 o'clock position. I told Dad that this watch ran well when I brought it in, so he took the case back off and did something as the watch was running but the second hand was "stuck" at the 2 o'clock position, not 11:58 as when I brought it in.. If I started the chronograph function, the seconds timer returned to the 2 o'clock position, not 12 o'clock. I explained all this to Dad who said I should talk to Eric. I asked Dad if he would have Eric call me. He said OK but Eric chose not to. From the many positive reviews it's obvious Eric is competent In my case, however, he ruined a watch with sentimental value that I had hoped to pass on to my grandson. Obviously, I cannot recommend them at all. But if you choose to leave a watch with them, make sure you explain and show everything about the watch.

Good work, trusted merchant, quick turnaround, reasonable pricing. They usually open between 30 minutes to an hour late, which gives you plenty of time to kill, be late for work, an appointment or peruse Macy's and the other jewelry stores that carry the same lines without the attitude. Their sales associate, Omar is a gem and a veritable fountain of knowledge- or whatever comes into his head to close a sale. I think they're called "lies". The customer service you find at this company is so exceptional, their Trumbull location closed down. So, reiterate- if you're looking to experience sub-par service coupled with the ranging between stellar (Britney and Polly) to abysmal (Omar) take your chance and give it a shot. Just remember that they open later than the other stores. MUCH later, and about 15% of what Omar tells you is the truth. The other 85%...not so much. You'll do much better going to Lenox Jewelers in Fairfield or Macy's.

This is a very dishonest business. They run an Amazon store titled "The Time Store Authorized…read moreDealer." However they sell watches through that store as an unauthorized dealer. These watches then do not have a manufacturer's warranty. I purchased a watch that was broken as soon as I received it, and have spent two weeks trying to get it repaired until warranty, only slowly learning of their full deception now. They don't respond to emails, messages through Amazon, and their phone numbers don't work.

When I first arrived, the guy with the beard and tattoos asked me to leave the watch behind. He said he needed to look up the instructions. That should've been the first warning, but it was before closing, and I had a meeting. After a week, I had not received any updates. So I called the guy, and I could tell that he hadn't even looked at the watch because he mumbled something and said he'd call back. I got a message on my phone half an hour later; it was him telling me that the watch did not register time. Basically that it was dead. And that they don't replace movements for that watch, which was a G-Shock. When I went to pick up the watch, the guy didn't even know where it was. The floor is littered with boxes filled with plastic bags containing other watches. There doesn't seem to be any kind of storage structure because it took two people about 5 to 10 minutes to finally find the watch. And when I took it out of the bag the thing fell apart and in my hands. The screws weren't even fastened on correctly. So I basically took in a watch with a low battery, still displaying time, and left with a broken paperweight. The guy blamed it on the watch's age, or what not. But this was the first time I had the battery replaced, after five years of flawless functionality. Not anymore. This place receives good reviews, which is why I brought it here in the first place, but I won't return again. The one star is because they didn't charge me for the ordeal.
