Requested HECO to come out and discovered the 100 amp breaker melted the plastic behind it and basically fell apart. Requested an electrician on Memorial Day and Johny responded very quickly and came out right away. Obviously checked the reviews prior to requesting him. Anyways, by just providing him a picture he could tell just the breaker needed replacing instead of the whole panel, which would've costed thousands. Johny is super knowledgeable and friendly. He ended up checking all my breakers and if there were any overload. Basically made sure everything is safe and up to par. Got everything done within an hour including having HECO come back to reenergize my house. Everything is back to normal again. So thank you very much Johny and Grand Hawaii Electric. Nicest, best quality ceiling fans I've ever owned. What has brought me back a few times we're issues with the remote(s). It's to be expected. Things break down after years of use. The last two times (over years) Blaine has been the one to assist me. Each time he listened to the situation intently, decided best course of action, and quickly provided solution. And the last time I thought the replacement remote was faulty... I telephoned them while driving back to exchange when associate "kindly" mentioned if it was a remote problem they would absolutely replace it BUT they would also make sure it wasn't an issue with the wiring or fan itself. Oops... I didn't consider that possibility. Turned my car around, right after picking up some onolicious oxtail soup across the street from them. :-) After arriving home, reprogrammed my other remote to see if same issue and bingo! ... light on fan still not turning off with remote. Easy workaround... just use wall switch. Thank you Pacific Fans for your always great service! Thank you also for your kindness in talking to me, making sure I felt like a valued customer, not like an idiot for not figuring out the secondary issue (the first remote was still faulty and needed to be replaced !). Jethro said it's better if I come by and take a look. "No thanks. I'm not paying for any 'estimate trips' to the house," I told him. He said no problem. No charge... and I can stop by now if that' OK. Wow, how about that for service. So, he comes to the house, we talk about the job and he gives us several options on how to best do the work along with the price. That was Tuesday. On Thursday, he arrives at eight o'clock and starts work as agreed. We could see from the very beginning that Jethro takes a lot of pride in his work and does it with a smile. Very exacting, measuring everything as he goes, and he makes sure everything is perfect before he moves on to the next step. How many workmen do that today? Not many. He cleaned up everything as he worked and there was no mess when the job was finished. We can't remember the last time we were so satisfied and we actually gave him a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream and a bottle of liquor brought back from a vacation in Latvia to say "thank you for a job well done".
