Guys did a great job. I had my panel replaced and turned into the garage from the inside of the house. A NEMA 14/50 installed for my electric cars, gfci replaced, and main panel breakers replaced. I had some small projects that i needed an electrician for. One was to remove a ceiling fixture and old smoke detector but it was in the middle of the stair case and roughly 15 feet high in an awkward angle. In its place i wanted to install track light above the railing to make it easy to switch out the lights. The second and third was to install an outdoor flood light and from there an outdoor weatherized outlet. Contacted Sparky and Jerry responded quickly. I provided pictures and such and when I was ready we did a site walk. He shared options of what we can do as well shared any issues. Quoted me at the end of the day and schedule the job a few days later. The day of, Sparky and Sons (total 3 of them) came in and put together a safe scaffold to remove both light fixtures and smoke detector and covered with a blank plate. Then installed the track lighted to my direction. on the outside, flood light, outdoor weather switch, and outdoor weather outlet was installed to my direction by tapping into an existing outlet in the kitchen and running it outside. They did a great job and was very professional as Jerry was instructing his son's ensuring everything was visually pleasing. One thing i truly respected was the clean up as electricians are known to leave "poop" (wire ends) all over the place. Jerry ensured this was cleaned up and threw away all trash leaving it as good or better than when they started. Our kitchen light went out and needed the entire light replaced, not just a lightbulb. I called a couple of places and according to the photos I showed, that was the assessment. I work a lot and didn't have time (nor did I really care) about what kind of light fixture I got, and if it matched the decor or anything like that. I wanted to be able to see in the kitchen, because we cook a lot. Two things stood out to me: 1) Sparky and Sons answered quickly and reliably 2) Sparky and Sons was the most convenient because they were willing to pick out a new light fixture and install it. We made an appointment and Jerry did exactly as stated--reliable to the time; they even arrived earlier than expected! In addition, they quickly uninstalled and installed a new light fixture within 20 minutes. I asked Jerry to install 2 outlets in 2 bathrooms, 1 in each. Jerry's quote was for $500 and he spent 2.5 hours for installation. Home.com says the average costs for home repair like this is $280/hour. I contacted Jerry on Tuesday and was scheduled in on Thursday. As an independent business owner myself, I found Jerry's estimate to be quite reasonable. Jerry arrived early and called me first to see if this was okay. His work appeared to be very professional. He carefully opened the bathroom walls with just enough room for an outlet and ensured no damage was done to any of the piping in the walls. He quickly ran the wires and connected the outlets, and tested everything. Then he fastidiously cleaned up the work area and showed me the results. First, when a company appears to stack five stars for themselves, beware! They appear to have 5-6 individuals who post 5-star reviews under different names. Look closely at the profile pics. The pictures are the same, but the names are different. If they are willing to do this, what else are they willing to do. Lies about how good they are? Will they be honest on what service you need? I called for a breaker issue, and Jerry answered. Rude and disrespectful. Just to come out to my home to look at the problem, he said it would cost $240 plus parts and materials. When I attempted to get more details, he rudely repeated himself. Rudely, he said, text him photos of the panel and breakers. By then, I had enough of his attitude and his disrespect. After calling a couple of other electricians, I learned pricing ranged between $190-$200 for a service call, which would be applied to any work and parts required. This is my second review for Sparky and Sons and still my go to. The job was to wire the boiler room for an electric water heater. I decided to switch from propane water heater to electric. Jerry had to add wiring and metal flex to the heater and change my breaker panel to 30 amp. He also added molding over wire for a clean installation appearance. I found a great buy on a countertop stove on Amazon and ordered it. While waiting for the arrival I got a few bids on installation from a small number of yelp top rated electricians. Jerry was the best bid. I was lucky he was available the day after the shipment arrived. He installed the replacement cooktop and also a replacement ceiling light in another room. Super efficient, super reasonable in price, and a great conversationalist as well! Update (July 19, 2023) I had Jerry come again with his apprentice to install a new outlet for a new microwave oven.
