Made a visit to Cheyenne while around Denver and found this restaurant on Yelp. SO glad we visited! Omelette, hash browns, pancakes, eggs and bacon were all delicious in our 2 orders. Portion sizes are plenty for the $6-8 or so for a breakfast. Bathrooms are pretty dingy but, that's no reason to miss out on the excellent food at DHC. Highly recommended!! read more

Very nice place inside (don't trust the way the building looks from the outside). Good food and great service. We had a mushroom-potato-cheese skillet and a veggie omelette with hash browns. I love this place. Decor is kitschy yet charming. I was passing through on the way to California, just in need of a bite and some friendly conversation. I got the garlic mushroom Swiss burger; it was delicious. Perfect diner burger. Service was friendly and prompt. Since I was travelling alone I really needed a pitstop like this one. We stopped in Cheyenne for breakfast on a trip west from iowa. We chose this cafe after reading some reviews,and we were not disappointed. As good as it gets if you are looking for great food at an authentic '50's style diner at a good price. I have only eaten breakfast here, but they are open for lunch as well. Service is prompt, efficient and knowledgable if not always "bubbly". The breakfast ham was delicious, not too salty and very well prepared. They also have breakfast burritos and skillets you "build" with your own ingredients. If you like the new/old diner wannabe's you will absolutely love Diamond Horseshoe. read more

The place has character. You will find the locals there. I had the veggie breakfast burrito and added ground buffalo to it. It was quite big and the hash brown portion was huge as well. Simple taste. This was one of my favorite places until they raised prices by 30%. That was bad enough but last time I was there I had I was there I ordered a special breakfast for $9 and was billed for $12. I will never go here again. Had lunch there before with a buddy and 2 chili burgers were $25. Canned chili and it was tasteless. This place has gone downhill over the past 10 years and needs a good cleaning and paint job too. read more

Awful! We ate there cause i remembered it was great, but boy was i wrong. I ordered a skillet. just potatoes, ham and cheese. It was $10 and horrible, the cheese was gritty and stuck to my mouth plus i had to ask just to get it melted and the ham was mostly fat. My husband got an omlete and he couldn't even stomach it. Tasteless, the eggs tasted like box and the hashbrowns were frozen bulk. The green chili was brown and tabasco didn't even help. We told the waitress and all she did was bring our check and say have a nice day. $30 for like 4 bites of food. Never again!! read more

Had the western omelet for lunch, switched out the "tangy sauce" listed on the menu for their green chili sauce. Not sure what the tangy sauce is, but the green chili was great. In town for a couple days and will probably do this one more time. read more

I found this little gem because a friend of mine a year ago. I am so happy I did. They serve breakfast all day. They make amazing burritos that I just love. It kinda worried me because the outside looks kinda off for a restaurant but God the food is amazing. The servers are all ways so friendly.
