The kitchen is outside in a food truck but it works with the train ambiance and location and closeness to the train tracks. Food and drinks really hit the spot. My chicken sandwich was lightly breaded and included lots of extra fixings. The extra thick crispy pickles were welcomed. Great fries!!! Great list of draft beers and specialty drinks. I watched the staff explain how they made their margarita and I was surprised by the amount of work that goes into making it. If you love pirogies, then you have to come here for the deep fried pirogies! Filled with creamy potatoes and topped with birria and served with a bit of sour cream! You will absolutely love them! My husband ordered the WY Gyro & Fries and he said it was great. I ordered the Strawberry Horchata with Boba. it was way too sweet for me. I didn't care for the strawberry boba ball taste at all. Our waitress was super friendly and when she heard that I was an artist and loved the outside mural if Frida Kahlo on the building, she recommended we go to the alleyway behind the Paramount Café because there are a bunch of wall murals there. I appreciated her tip and we did get to go there and they are spectacular! So thanks for sharing that bit of Wyoming art and culture with us. we appreciate you! Flew into the infamous Masonic Airport in Denver, CO, and made the drive out to Cheyenne. After landing, I was feeling a little hungry and hit the usual 30-plus minute Yelp scroll before stumbling on Railspur. It had a solid stack of reviews, averaging 4.5 stars, which is right where my bar sits when I'm deciding who's worthy enough to take my money. Walked in with the fam, got seated at the side booth, bar diner, and asked for their most popular items. We ordered, * Bison salad wraps (my first time ever trying bison, and it was bomb!) * Fried chicken sandwich * Cheeseburger * A side of fries * And the fried mortadella sticks to kick things off The appetizer came out quick and was fire. Everything else followed with solid flavor, music was door, and great vibe. I sampled a little of everything, not enough to say I had it all, but enough to know this place knows what they're doing. Shoutout to Joe, our server, who was super accommodating and easygoing. Another lady checked in on us here and there, just the right amount of attention without hovering. Service was excellent. I'm told their Birria Tacos are excellent and even award winning, the reason this "food truck" restaurant started. We had a doggie with us so we sat outside in their patio. I just had the best tacos I've ever had along the Front Range; I swear. New Mexico? No! Wyoming! We ordered the birria tacos, a buffalo chicken sandwich, and the pierogis. The last two items? Not bad. But the birria tacos are good enough that I'd stop by again if I ever find myself at the junction of interstates 80 and 25. I liked the decor of the place, too. The wall of windows on the south side of the building is perfect to watch Wyoming's crazy weather roll by. I was expecting a better outcome with the 4.4 rating it had. I got birria tacos and fries. I order and didn't get my food until 30 mins later. Maybe my expectations were high, but I've never waited that long for birria tacos, let alone fries. By the time I did receive my food, it wasn't suppose to have cilantro or onions in it, but it did. I didn't say anything because of how long it took just to get food. Birria tacos were fine but I do think could have more flavor. The fries were good and with their sauce, was better. There were 3 people bringing food out and taking care of things and all of them seemed very lost on whose food went where. I watched them bring food to my table after I got food, looking confused, which maybe I got someone else's order and that's why mine was wrong. Then they did the same with 3 other tables. Overall, a confused night for everyone it seems. Took a moment to get the bill after I was done eating too. The waitress said they were short staffed and the cooks they had, were temporarily, explains the slow service I guess. The inside of the restaurant was nice. They cook food outside in food truck and bring it in. I'm from Ohio, not sure I'll be back ever again. But it could use some improvements, so hopefully something, since it has good ratings.
