Just do it. I texted the owner from another review where I found his number, sent a video of my problem with iMessage - and within 2 hours there was a locksmith at my door. I called to have 4 new locks from 4 new Kolbe doors re-keyed to our main house key. They came within an hour and finished in less than an hour and a half. Although as of today, no credit cards accepted (cash or check only), that's kind of common if you employ a subcontractor or general contractor in the construction trade so I didn't have a problem with that. Might be more of a problem for someone locked out of their car or something. Anyway, I also liked how they emailed the invoice immediately upon payment. It was two younger guys doing the work. Bait and Switch. (But I fell for it) They got me. Submitted a request for a rekey quote and got a text 10 minutes later saying someone was on their way. I called and said no one was home and please provide a quote. The quote was lower than the competitors by a lot which should have been a flag but I said great. Post inspection of course the cost to rekey 5 doors was 6x (one lock was complicated, 3 apparently had to be replaced). I hesitated despite the high pressure sale but caved and said do it because I wanted it done. They ended up only rekeying 4 of the 5 requested doors so I called someone else to do the 5th and was charged a much more reasonable rate and laughed at me for how much I paid for the new locks. The work was fine and the worker was incredibly fast. I simply got ripped off without knowing it until after the fact. My fault but learn from my mistake and get at least 2 estimates before agreeing to work! Could save you hundreds. read more

I should have wrote this a couple of weeks ago, but perhaps the embarrassment from this comical experience subconsciously played a part. It was later in the evening when everyone is at home unwinding from their day. My girlfriend and I decided that we should pick up some take out as we are both tired from our long day.
