When I called to schedule the service, I was told it would not be an issue. I paid $415 expecting professional, effective removal. What followed was a frustrating, ineffective, and misleading experience: The first technician walked around my house but did not spray the actual nest. The nest continued to grow. I requested a follow-up, specifically noting the need for a ladder to reach the nest near the roof's peak. Two weeks later, a tech returned--without a ladder. Still, I insisted he spray again and watched him do it. Wasps returned again shortly afterward. I informed Orkin that the underlying issue--a gap in the masonry--needed to be sealed to prevent the wasps from coming back. At first, they said this would not be a problem. Then, they quoted me an extra $1,500 for a scissor lift rental, despite initially promising comprehensive service. When I questioned the added cost, I was told it was because the nest was "too high."
