Bought a Honda HR-V on 03/06/2017. I didn't expect to buy a car but went in with the optimism that it might happen. I was looking for a small SUV for my mother so I narrowed down my picks to HR-V or CR-V. I personally didn't like the appearance of the CR-V so I leaned towards buying my mom the HR-V and she agreed. It's appeal isn't all the great but it looks a heck of a lot better than the CR-V. Decided to go with the HR-V EX because it had the heated seats and touch screen Dash controls. So now while I didn't want to pay sticker price and neither should you I started to negotiate the sticker price. I personally don't like the back and forth and feel like a profitable price isn't always a good price for the consumer. While everyone gets a different price and a different deal I suggest you take your time and look at your options. You should always look on the Honda website for offers on a vehicle you can potentially buy because the dealer doesn't always give you the offer that Honda promotes. While in the fine print only qualified buyers get the best deals you should still strive for the better deal. So I basically wanted the car for a certain price, we went back and forth, and decided on a price that was slightly higher than what I proposed to buy the car for, but in the end I was happy with my deal and signed the contract. Our Sales man Rolando was courteous and understanding of what I was looking for and sort of battled away with me on deal but I understand that dealership mangers pressure their salesmen to sell the car for as much as they can while it doesn't always end up that way. A sale is a sale and if you put more than half of the vehicles price down there is no refusing a purchase from a costumer. So while the color of the vehicle we wanted wasn't in stock the dealership did a trade with another dealership for the color we wanted and I was set to receive the car the next day. I received the car the next day at my workplace and noticed the vehicle didn't have the "pro package" which was Accessories added on by the dealership. I also noticed a one inch scratch on the right rear bumper end cap and notified my salesman Rolando and he assured me everything will be taken care of. While I didn't blame the dealership I per say bought the car from it could have been damage from the road or caused by dealer who owned it before. I took the car back to Diamond Valley Honda the same day to speak to Jason which is the Sales manager,I was immediately greeted and told that everything will be repaired and installed. I received a loaner car because the repairs could take a few hours to do and I was tired from work and did not want to stick around. Cesar which was in charge of taking care of my vehicle was great and very friendly and tried to get me out as soon as possible. Okay now to why I giving this review a "3 Star". So the thing I noticed was that the "Pro package" which included door edge guards were never installed, instead I was told that the door edge film was the "door edge guard". I looked on the Honda website and there is a distinct difference between both. While the door edge guard has a part number the door edge film doesn't. On my work order receipt it shows part number #84905 which comes up as a filter of some sort and not a door edge guard. The door edge guard part number is 08P20-T7S-140A. Depending on the color the last four digits and letters will vary. I notified Cesar the service department associate and he tried convincing me that the door edge film was the door edge guard and that they were installed when that wasn't the case. although the people I dealt with were very nice this is my money we are talking about and I just put down a massive chunk of it and I will not let the slightest thing go over me. I was told that it was going to be brought up to the attention of the sales manager and will receive a call regarding that the next day and it has been over a week and still nothing. The price for the door edge guard is $84 on the Honda website but the dealer sells it for a different price. Regardless of whatever price it is, its still not installed on my car nor have I received a call regarding that issue. My overall experience was okay and the dealership can still make this right and I will leave my review at three star because of this issue and this issue only. read more

To all the buyers out there looking to buy a car from Diamond Valley Honda in Hemet "BE AWARE"!! First of all they have false advertisement on line. They put a nice attractive pictures upfront, but the real car is totally different from the one been advertised. 2nd of all the person you communicate with on line or over the phone does not work there. That person works only on line for different dealerships. They don't know anything about the car, they haven't even seen the car. Third of all, once you're there you get that strange feelings that there is something going wrong. In my case I was fished out by an online salesperson, the name she went by was Heymi Carrasco. She sounded honest enough for me to have believed that she works at the dealership and that the car I saw on line is in a great condition. I had asked her on the phone, a day before I went there, specifically about the total price of the car and about the body condition of it. She assured me that the car has no dents and is in perfect condition. Heymi insisted for me to make an appointment so I'd show up during her working days. The appointment was on Sunday at 3:45 . She never showed up. Instead another salesman whose name is Austin introduced himself as the person who's going to help me. I told him about the conversation that took place between Heymi and myself and went to get the car. He came back with a smaller and lesser value car . When he realized I was upset he went and got the right car, but had 6 big dents all over,, fenders and doors.... Austin is not fit to be a salesman. He does not know anything about cars and all he's interested in is how much of a down payment I'm putting in and what kind of a monthly payment I'm going to be making. Making a long story short, we went inside to do the paperwork when I asked him about the price of the car. He said that he needs to fill out the paperwork before he can give me the price. At that point I felt something fishy is going on. He insisted that he must completer the paperwork before he can give the price of the car. I asked him over and over ten times again that I'm not going to give him all the personal questions he needs before I know the price of the car. Finally he went and called the general manager whom he came already upset at me for not providing the personal questions like social security number, my home and work address, my income and a lot more. Anyway the reason why they refused to give me the price of the car before hands because the real price of the car was $ 3000.00 more than the price I was given over the phone. The general manager, as he so introduced himself to me, was rude. He does not have the stamina nor the "know-how-to talk to customers". Angrily he started telling me that Heymi works for him and he is the boss and that nowhere it shows in the e-mails she sent me that she discussed that kind of a price with me. In other words he called me a liar. I'd like to let everyone who's looking to buying a car from Diamond Valley Honda dealership in Hemet to be aware of the schemes that they pull in that place. No professionalism, no respect, no courtesy to customers. They are indifferent whether someone buys a car from them or not. And that, my friends, the kind of people you're going to deal with if you decide to go there after all. Extremely disappointed customer. They don't even deserve one star. read more

I went into Diamond Valley Honda to buy a new Accord for my wife for her birthday, and Diamond Valley Honda ruined the plan. Before going into the dealership, I went through TrueCar.com and got a quote from Veronica Gomez, the internet salesperson. TrueCar.com promises that their participating dealers be transparent about all their costs. I even contacted Veronica to confirm these costs and we settled on a price. When I arrived at the dealership, I indicated I was ready to purchase and told them I had a quote from Veronica. I filled out the paperwork and waited for the final purchase documents to sign. Danny brought them out. Immediately, I noticed some errors. First, there was $2000 worth of dealer upgrades that I specifically said I did not want (this was agreed upon with Veronica). Second, they completed financing papers for my car even though I had indicated that I had a pre-approved loan from my bank. Danny was shocked that I did not agree with this purchase document. He left and a few minutes later, another salesperson came and rudely summoned me to an office with all the salespeople. Immediately, without any introduction or provocation, the lead salesperson started screaming at me, telling me to reveal the other offers I had received from his competitors. I responded by saying that it didn't matter what they offered and that it only mattered what he offered. He continued to shout that it was important and indicated that I wouldn't receive the quote I was offered by Veronica. As I tried to explain my position, he kept asking why I wouldn't buy the dealer upgrades. At this point, I thanked him and said I would leave. He shouted back, 'good luck with Riverside" (his competitor), as though he didn't care that he had lost a sale. I left the dealership and no one said a word to us. After I left, and on the way home, I received an email from Veronica saying that she would honor her quote after all. Additionally, a salesperson called and said people usually misunderstand his boss. Well, I usually don't misunderstand people who scream at me. I spend three dollars for coffee at Starbucks and get better treatment. If I'm going to spend 25K, I think I deserve not to be yelled at. The experience ruined a day that should have been pleasant for my wife and our two kids. For those contemplating going to Diamond Valley Honda, be wary that the word of Veronica Gomez might not have much weight. Also, make sure you really want to go here. It's far, difficult to find, and in the middle of nowhere. The drive was unpleasant with nothing to see or do. When you get there, be ready for the heat and lots of dirt, and be ready for truly rude and unpleasant salespeople. FYI, I did call Riverside Honda and was able to purchase my car over the phone in 5 minutes. The price was better and they will deliver it to my house, which is 25 miles away from their dealership. I did a trade in and purchase on a pre owned car a few years back with Diamond Valley Honda and lets just say the car didn't hold up very well, and when I went back a year later to "cash in" on a something one of the old managers told me would be possible after maturing my credit some. Well it unfortunately fell far short of my expectations. It was a big disappointment but just continued making my payments on time and tried to do the same thing a little later. Which brings me to my latest vehicle purchase. In mid March, I went into the dealership wanting to test drive the new 2017 Civic Hatchback. Kevin Killingsworth meet me at the door and quickly pulled one around for me to try out. He let me test drive it and I broke down my financial situation, the previous deal the old managers made but didn't follow through on and he immediately started crunching numbers on the spot. He was very honest, understanding, and upfront with me. It began looking like it wasn't going to be possible but somehow he was able to get me into my dream car at a reasonable downpayment, and doable monthly payments. After we worked out the deal and shook hands, he lead me over to Austin Low in financing and she treating me the same way Kevin did. Very kind, and kept it real with me. We flew through the paperwork and I drove home in a brand new car that night. Now there was definitely a few hiccups following the initial deal. This is where I'm going to use digression and not get into full details. But the dealership made it right after some back and forth. Overall I am very happy with my new car and the customer service I experienced. I would recommend this dealership to others for sure, but I'd like to give some advice based off of my experience. First off, read everything they want you to sign. Its really easy to trust what people say but its better to understand it for yourself. Secondly, don't be afraid to ask questions. Information and clear communication will create a positive outcome for both parties while minimizing any bumps along the way. read more

I had a great experience at Diamond Valley Honda. I drove three hours to get from my home in Orange County to this dealership because they had the exact car I wanted (a Toyota Yaris LE) with only 3,000 miles at an incredible price. I had been screwed around with by about 5 dealerships in my car-buying process, so I just wanted to have the process be done. Even though I suffered through horrible Friday afternoon traffic, I'm glad I decided to go out to Hemet for my car! Heymi was great and very patient with me on the phone. I made that girl take pictures of the odometer, side view mirrors, key fob, car logo, and side view mirror adjustment buttons, for cryin' out loud! I'd been lied to about car models in the past and needed proof that it was, in fact, an LE and not an L, before I trekked out there. She was very helpful and sweet. She had already left work by the time I got there, but she still texted to make sure I'd arrived okay. Eric was a great salesperson and didn't push additional features/add-ons, which I appreciate. He also took time to help me set up my Bluetooth after I'd purchased the car, which he didn't have to do. I can't remember the name of my finance person, but he was also excellent - very straightforward, not pushy, and patient, even though he was staying late at work on a Friday evening to finish up my paperwork. I am very happy with the deal I got on this car. It was also very clean and well-detailed. I would definitely make the drive back out to Hemet if I need another car (although since I just bought a low-mileage Toyota, I'm not thinking that will be the case for at least a decade or so!). LIES!!!! My experience with Diamond Valley Honda has been nothing but lies to get me to make a 2 hour drive to the dealership. After looking at a 2017 Honda Civic Coupe online I filled out a comment to receive a quote on the vehicle. The quote was roughly for $19,356 and I would receive a $500 military discount. I had received many calls from the dealership to make the drive. My concerns were that I did not have the title to my current vehicle. After being told multiple times from the dealership that I did not need a title that they could work around that, I decided to make the 2 hour drive to the dealership. The moment I get to the dealership is when I start to learn of their lies. I find out after the test drive and spending an hour waiting in the lobby that the price of the car was actually $2000 more then what they quoted me. After expressing concerns to the manager he said they did not disclose the additional price because they did not need to. Then began to blame me for using Navy Federal Credit Union for my Loan saying it cuts into his profits. The additional $2000 was for an extra security alarm and some other features for the car. I have found out that the security alarm has never been activated so now I need to make another 2 hour trip to the dealership so they can activate the alarm that they charged me the additional price for. I then was also informed that I did not qualify for the military discount. Although I am currently active duty serving in San Diego. The only way you can qualify for the discount is if you use Honda Financing. This of course was not worth the $500 because I was receiving a 2% rate with NFCU and Honda wanted to charge me 5%. I suggest not making the trip to the dealership. They are very rude, unorganized, and unprofessional. read more

Our Best Car-buying Experience - EVER! I was shopping for a new CRV via TrueCar in order to downsize our car AND our payment. My experience started with a submission on the app. TrueCar selected three dealers, and notified me they would be submitting offers to me. Two of the dealerships ignored the purpose of the app and refused to present offers. Diamond Valley Honda not only sent me an offer in the configuration I specified, the sent me a FANTASTIC offer! I made an appointment with Brittiany, who sent me the offer and followed up with a reminder. When we arrived, my husband and I were met by Daniel, our salesman. As they were both Veterans, they hit it off well. We then got down to the business of the deal. The offer was accepted, now the problem of the trade. I had gotten an appraisal elsewhere. The initial offer was quite a bit lower than I expected. This could've been a deal-breaker, because we were upside down on our trade. I was willing to put a big chunk of cash into that balance, but the deal was dependent on a specific amount for the trade. Rick, the General Manager, came in, and after consulting another department, met the amount on the appraisal. You can't imagine how relieved we were! Once the deal was struck, we met with Austyn in finance. She helped us decipher the numbers and assisted us with our add-ons. She was patient with our questions, and unlike others in the business, she was NOT pushy. Completing this deal was a team effort. Brittiany, Daniel, Austyn and even Rick did their part to make it happen. We never felt rushed, herded or patronized. Altogether is was a positive experience and a contrast to how other dealerships had treated us in the past. You, too, can have a great experience at Diamond Valley Honda. read more

I grew up in a Honda family, so when my mom moved us to Hemet in 1986, she bought a new Civic at Diamond Valley. I learned how to drive in that car and got my license in that car. I loved it and was almost sad when she upgraded to an Accord in '94, again at Diamond Valley. My sister still drives that Accord. My '86 CRX recently needed a new fuel injector, and after 300k miles, I decided to upgrade myself. Although now living in the San Bernardino National Forest on on a super tight budget, Diamond Valley was the first place that came to mind and I called without hesitation. There, I reached Ray Simmons and explained my situation. I frankly said, "I have X amount of $, not a dollar more, can you help me out?" He said he'd see what he could do and got back to me the next day. Ray found me a great used car, made sure it was thoroughly inspected by the maintenance crew, got me a 3 month warranty, and all within the exact amount I said I had to spend. The bumper had a dent and he managed to get that replaced at no extra charge to me. During the inspection and bumper replacement, I was stuck in Hemet without a car for a couple of days. Ray gave me his personal cell # and picked me up and dropped me off anytime I needed a ride. Talk about going the extra mile! What I really appreciated was Ray listened to me. He didn't try to sell me something I couldn't afford, he didn't try to get me to finance something with an outrageous interest rate. I said I had bad credit, this how much $ I have...end of story. He respected that and there was no hard sell. I'll be moving back to San Diego soon, but I can assure you, when I'm ready for an upgrade, I'll make the trip back to Hemet to talk to my new friend Ray Simmons. read more

I took my car here after being a victim of hit and run. First off they saved my car from being totaled out by my insurance company. The insurance company wanted to total it out. I didn't want it being totaled out because of the low mileage and excellent condition it was in. So Christy and Cynthia both worked with insurance company and was able to save my car. Cynthia was able to get me in a rental for cheap through the Hertz Car Rental right there inside the Honda Dealer. Through the whole repair time they contacted me several times to let me know what stage of the repair they were in. Car was completed very close to the time they said it would be. After picking the car up I did have some things I had to address with Christy about the repair. She understood and took care of everything for me. I couldn't be HAPPIER!! I very much recommend this place. I have been to another body shop here in town after a different hit and run and the paint job felt like sandpaper, maybe not that bad but the paint job had issues. I took it back to that place for them to fix it, yah right, I did not notice the difference and they gave me one excuse after another. It's almost like they didn't care, at least that's how I felt. It was a body shop over in the industrial area, can't remember the name. I know I will never go back there! I AM VERY APPRECIATIVE TO CHRISTY AND CYNTHIA FOR WHAT THEY DID FOR ME and of course the guys who did the job!! Everyone was always very kind and professional. hats off to the folks a dvh .. for some reason, the left front tire on my "fit" showed excessive wear after only 6000 miles .. i worried greatly that i would be "talked down" to, or blamed for the problem .. neither of which occurred .. mike hauso, the service director, talked the situation over with me .. explained in detail the mechanics of the front end geometry .. and we agreed that it needed to be addressed .. and that the problem was possibly there from the time i purchased the car last december - 6000 miles previous .. as the other tires were still like new .. i hoped they would put one new tire on, but they replaced both front tires to more accurately do the front end alignment .. checked all mechanical and adjusted the alignment .. all at no cost to me.. what makes this special is that the car is a 2010 ..out of warrenty, and was not specified as a "certfied" used car ..it was originally sold new by dvh, and was traded back three years later with only 9000 miles on it .. they had no legal obligation to do anything for me .. but that is why i bought a honda and why i bought it from dvh .. honda in general, and dvh in particular, have an excellent reputation for standing behind there cars .. i gurantee this would not have happened this way at chevy or ford dealer .. i hate to say it, but thats why our domestic auto industry is in such bad shape ..and i also want to thank austin in the sales dept, and greg in service for being so helpful....all at dvh ...............thanks jerry read more

The Best experience I have ever had at a car dealership! I did all of my research for Toyota and Honda mini vans. As well as other dealership prices and financing. My father-in-law as well as my sister-in-law both bought cars at Diamond Valley Honda. My wife and I decided to take a test drive in a Honda Odyssey. We were met by Rodney Phenice. We had our granddaughters with us and he was very understanding he let my wife and I each test drive the van separately although he said we could put car seats in the van for the girls. He was very well informed about the van and was able to answer every question I had and even told me things about it that I didn't even think to ask! He took his time with us and did not pressure us at all. My wife didn't like the color of the one we looked at but they didn't have the color on the lot that we wanted to see in person. Again no pressure at all from Rodney. We found the color we wanted at another dealership and liked it. We went back the next week and met Rodney again. He remembered us and our concerns and was very helpful. He was able to get the color we wanted that same day from another dealers lot and at the price we wanted without any haggling! We would recommend Diamond Valley Honda and Rodney to everyone we know. The next time we need a new car guess where we are going! P.S. I am SO happy I purchased my 2016 Pilot from Diamond Valley Honda today, and without a doubt, I will contact them again for my next Honday purchase! To make a long story short, I had already been trying to work with other Honda dealers, but no one came close to the honest-to-goodness lowest price, no hassles or haggling, and straight forward communication as this dealer. My first contact was Brittany Nguyen who gave me the information I needed to know to make the decision to drive from Temecula to Hemet. I was honestly worried I would get out there and they would change the story, but my salesperson, Dennis Anderson, the manager, Danny, and the general manager, Ricky Welty, all pulled-through for me and won my trust and respect. Even Austyn, the girl who helped me through the financing and paperwork, was so easy to work with and so friendly. Brittany actually made sure she stopped in to introduce herself after being tied up in a long meeting. I'm sure she wanted to see the smile on my face when I realized that her promises over the phone were honored when I got there. On top of all of that, Dennis and one of the mechanics followed me to my home all the way back in Temecula to deliver my car. Now that's top notch service (and I get free lifetime oil changes and car washes to boot). Diamond Valley Honda is absolutely the best!! Their customer service is impeccable. My wife and I both bought the top of the line 2017 accord touring models " his and hers ". prior to buying we shoped for about 3 weeks getting qoutes from at least 15 different honda dealerships in riverside, orange and san diego counties. diamond valley was the only one to go the extra mile and then some go get our business with no high pressure sales. Their slogan states " when you can come to diamond valley honda, you can have your honda wishes granted. and let's face it: you deserve nothing less. located in the hemet auto mall on 300 carriage circle, we know our job isn't finished until you're completely satisfied ". Omar Medina the general manager means it. he's truly a man of his word and his whole team there at diamond valley supports him 100%. i hate buying cars, its one of the most stressful buys for me, because you really need to know the car business to buy a car. so you don't feel like they got the best of you. long story short, omar and his team gave us the cars and the price we were looking for. the finance dept. was very informative and got us out of there in no time. truly made my experince one to remember. we are complete satisfied. we will recommend all our friends to visit diamond valley honda and buy a car. We definitely shopped around before ultimately deciding to purchase our 2019 Honda Odyssey with Diamond Valley Honda. Our whole experience with this dealership has been phenomenal. When I spoke with Jason on the phone, I had a ballpark figure about what we were looking for (since I had been I contact with other dealerships) and Jason definitely quoted me a price that I simply could not resist. He was very polite, and I can say was definitely the reason why we decided to buy from Diamond Valley. We drove over an hour to this dealership, and from the moment we entered the showroom, the Honda representative, Austin Ireland was absolutely stellar and top notch! He was extremely thorough and knowledgeable in his explanation of the car, and provided us with excellent customer service. If all your employees are as knowledgeable and courteous with your customers as Austin was with us, you definitely will be getting more sales. Between Jason, Austin Ireland, and your finance manager Austyn Low (very sweet and accommodating to our needs), Diamond Valley Honda definitely has a winning combination with an exemplary team of outstanding employees. My husband and I just bought a brand new Civic Touring from Diamond Valley, yesterday. The experience was the best we've ever had at any dealership. Alex greeted us when we arrived and brought a car around right away for my husband to test drive. Obviously, he loved the car and we were ready to buy! I've heard that lots of dealers don't honor the TrueCar pricing, but Paul, the sales manager, honored it without hesitation! Since we had a little more wiggle room, in our budget now, we added the protection package and the full coverage warranty (6 year/100,00 miles). Paul even pulled some strings and got us a really good interest rate, despite our credit scores. They actually didn't have any Touring models at the dealership, except for the showroom model, so they actually found the exact one we wanted at another dealership and told us we would have it the same day. After waiting a while for the car to be delivered, they let us go home in one of their used cars, and Alex delivered our beautiful new car to our house! I really appreciated that since we had a grumpy baby a restless 4 year old with us. Overall the experience couldn't have been better. If you're in the market for a new Honda, this is the place to go! My family recently traveled to Diamond Valley Honda to purchase a new vehicle. We were ready to buy, and they had the car we wanted. So we go for a test drive, and did the usual walk around. Everything seemed fine. Now we're in the financing office, signing papers, the usual. The deal is done. We go back out to our new car and what do you know? There's a new scratch on our new car. How the what? We were not pleased. The manager said they would take care of us. I stopped them there. "No thanks, we'll be having a different car." They refused. The owner wasn't in (this is a small independent dealership). Now, what do we do? They took our trade-in, and refused a rental on my assertion that we would not take possession of this damaged car. Again, they refused. I know our rights. So now three months later, my family is making payments on a vehicle we do not have. We've spoken to the owner, and he is indifferent. I know dealerships can "unwind" a vehicle as they call it, so the car can still be sold as new. They refused. I can't express how disappointed and stressed my family is. I cannot recommend this dealership, and I suggest that if you are looking for a Honda go elsewhere, as we were cheated and mislead terribly. Diamond Valley Honda is the worst! read more
