I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in November, and unfortunately my experience after the sale has been very disappointing. Shortly after purchasing the van, I began experiencing a serious issue where water leaks through the sunroof and roof area, and even runs down the inside of the windshield. This has caused the interior of the vehicle to get wet and raises concerns about long-term damage. I contacted the dealership to explain the situation and ask for assistance, but they were not willing to take any responsibility or offer help. I also went in person to try to resolve the issue, and again, no support was provided. This is not a minor problem and appears to be something that may have existed before the vehicle was sold. I would have appreciated transparency or at least a willingness to work toward a solution. Terrible experience from start to finish. I called specifically on Friday to ask about major cosmetic flaws and requested a complete walk-around video, explaining that I was driving almost two hours from San Diego and didn't want any surprises. They confirmed everything was fine, and we set an appointment for Sunday. On Saturday, an employee called to confirm. Then, an hour before my arrival on Sunday, someone else called to confirm again--knowing full well what was going on. When I actually got there, they casually told me the car wasn't even on the lot because someone else at another location was actively trying to buy it right out from under my scheduled appointment. They had the nerve to make me wait 40 minutes just to see if that sale fell through so they could bring it over. I ended up waiting two hours, only for the car to finally arrive with the entire front bumper and grille broken and completely out of place. When I confronted them about why they lied after I specifically asked about cosmetic flaws, their solution was basically: "Buy it and we'll fix it." Absolute waste of time. They are completely dishonest, unprofessional, and do not care about customers at all. On top of that, the first employee I dealt with wasn't even there when I arrived, and another staff member practically admitted they play games to get you in the door--even refusing to give me an out-the-door price over the phone beforehand. WARNING!!! This place doesn't honor their listed prices on their website. They intentionally list it low to pull you in and drive the 2-3hrs to get there and slap mandatory packages onto the car that they CAN NOT remove such as, alarm, paint protection, and others to raise the price by $2k. I have never purchased a car anywhere that tells me its mandatory fees. They always sold it to me at the listed price they put on their website. This all happened with the red prius they listed for $19080, and I agreed to pay that price with the packages they could not remove and already on the car, they wanted to sell it to me for $22k. This felt like misleading advertising, as the online quote did not reflect a realistic buying price. More importantly, it showed a lack of respect for the customer's time. If the dealership already had a much lower number in mind, that should have been communicated upfront before asking someone to make a long trip and wait extensively. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Tony Hernandez and Pedder Nissan in Hemet. Before driving from Riverside, I texted Tony to confirm that the 2021 Chevrolet Malibu I had purchased was ready for pickup. He assured me that the car was ready and that his staff knew where the key was. Based on that confirmation, I made the drive to the dealership. When I arrived, the staff had no idea where the key was. I waited for nearly two hours while they searched, but they never found it. During that time, I repeatedly called and texted Tony, but he completely ignored my calls and messages. After wasting my time, fuel, and two hours at the dealership, I texted Tony to let him know I would be asking for the deal to be canceled because they couldn't even provide the key to the vehicle. Only then did he reply with, "Sounds good to me. Yes, I agree to unwind the deal." This was one of the most frustrating car-buying experiences I've ever had. If you tell a customer a vehicle is ready for pickup, it should actually be ready. Losing the key, making a customer wait for hours, and then ignoring phone calls and text messages is completely unacceptable. I would not recommend doing business with Tony Hernandez or Pedder Nissan in Hemet based on my experience. They showed a lack of organization, poor communication, and no respect for my time. Pedder Nissan has the WORST customer service I have ever had to deal with. I paid off my car and on 2/27/26 was helped by Jesse Gutierrez. Since my car was paid off I was requesting the difference of my gap insurance. He said it would be about 60 days no problem. I have called them several times. Not once was I able to get a hold of the finance department. I was unable to leave a message. I spoke with several sales people who took my name and phone number and all promised to pass the message on to the finance department and no one has called me back. I sold my car to Pedder Nissan on 5/4 and the whole process took almost 4 hours. After everything was signed and they had the car, I was told my check would be mailed. That turned into over two weeks of me having to chase them down for my own payment. I called multiple times trying to get an update. Some calls got dropped, I got transferred around, sent to voicemails, and promised callbacks that never happened. The stories I got kept changing. At one point I was told the check was in someone's desk because they thought I was coming to pick it up. Later, someone else told me that same finance guy had supposedly been off that day and they didn't know who would have told me that. Then I was told the check was mailed Friday. Then I was told it was overnighted Friday. I asked for tracking and never got it. After pushing harder, I was finally told it was not overnighted after all and that finance accidentally put it with regular outgoing mail. What finally got me real answers was when I mentioned filing a DMV complaint and speaking with an attorney. Suddenly I started getting callbacks, explanations, and updates. Coincidentally, the check showed up the very next day. The craziest part is when the check finally arrived on 5/20, I noticed it was dated 5/5 -- literally one day after I sold them the car. So the check had apparently existed almost the entire time while I spent weeks getting conflicting explanations and chasing updates. Mistakes happen, but this was handled terribly from start to finish. I should not have had to spend over two weeks calling, getting transferred around, and threatening legal action just to receive payment for a vehicle they already had possession of. This dealership is unbelievably disorganized and incompetent. Nobody seemed to know what was going on, every person had a different answer, and basic communication was nonexistent. I would strongly recommend avoiding this dealership unless you want to spend weeks chasing people down just to get straight answers. read more

Weeks later, we were told the deal wasn't approved and asked for more money. What started off good ended in a nightmare. I traded in my car and bought a used car they broke the mirror in the car after I signed all the papers and then told me they have broken the mirror, there was a tire issue, the seats are stained and it smells like an animal and there's food and garbage up under the driver's seat. My past experience with this company 6 years ago was excellent but then I also bought two brand new cars off the lot I will never buy a used car from them again I have to pay to get this car detailed to get the smell out as well as the stains a nightmare. Run away. False online sticker prices used to cat-fish buyers into coming onto the lot. Bait and switch. Pedder Auto Group Temecula Nissan. Not recognized as part of the BBB. Currently facing lawsuits for fraud, false advertising, hidden fees, illegal repossession, etc. Found New Old Stock 2025 Nissan Altima 2.5 S with 80 miles online for approx $18K. We drove up on a Sunday but did not have a promissory note financing from our banks. We told our Salesman, Kevin, who has been on staff for a week that we were interested, wanted to put money down to hold the car. Kevin asked Manager, but would not hold without making an offer. Secured outside financing with USAA and NFCU. On Monday, daughter, Lilly, found poor reviews due to lawsuits listed at beginning of this review. Lilly got cold feet. Found negative reviews and lawsuits for Pedder Auto Group especially in Hemet. We discussed on Monday, thought perhaps all the shady sales were limited to Hemet and decided on Tuesday to make an offer. Kevin not available, family emergency, so he handed us off to Logan who has been on staff for a month. Logan explained we could only get online price if we finance through Nissan. This was the first we heard of this, especially since we were clear to Kevin we were securing financing through our bank. Lilly was trying to make an offer. Logan did not listen to Lilly until I, her father in my 50s, stepped in and explained Logan is not answering her questions. Logan went to the back to get help and Isaiah came back to show how the prices would be different if we were to use financing through our bank. We asked for a breakdown of how an online ad for $18K could be offered for MSRP $28.8K and reduced to $25K ($7K more than online ad). Isaiah went in back and Jose, a manager who was recently hired in the past few days, came back to show us the breakdown explaining $28.8K MSRP minus $3K additional accessories GPS and anti-theft (already installed and not requested by buyer) $5K Nissan rebate minus $4K dealer incentive (approx values). The $4K dealer incentives included $500 military, $500 recent college graduate, $1500 trade-in and the remaining customer cash for financing with Nissan. Lilly asked to speak to the manager for false online sticker price with all-possible incentives to a specific niche military college grad. Sammy, the senior dealership manager who just got hired tried to show online fine print to justify their false advertising. Lilly stopped Sammy when he explained how we would be charged extra for GPS and Anti-theft that were already installed and that we did not request. Lilly said this was the same tactics used by Hemet, that it was illegal. Lilly asked for proof in writing how it is legal to charge for additional accessory not requested by the buyer. Sonny stood up, says if she keeps saying illegal or using the legal word, then he can no longer talk with us. We expressed our disappointment that we were catfished lured in to an unrealistic car price. Bottom line, Nissan rebates lower the taxable price, but dealer incentives do not. Sonny got down to about $24K out the door, $6K more than the $18k online with taxes, title, fees, additional accessories and no military or college graduate rebates. Since getting back home, before closing tonight, Pedder Nissan Temecula has now listed an additional six more 2025 Nissan Altimas 2.5 S with online prices ranging from $18k to $24K. This is an obvious move to cover their rear in case we report these findings. Now they can say they offered a range of online prices and that they are justified. Run away. Shady. I had a very bad experience attempting to purchase a specific car here. They had advertised the car online at one price, then when I called they said I had to pay a mandatory $4,000 in dealer accessories (something the FTC is actually looking into with other dealers nationwide, I hope they look here). I attempted negotiations over the phone saying I didn't need any of the accessories and they insisted on the extra fees. I let it go for a couple weeks, upon which they lowered the price another $3,000 online. I decided I would pay some dealer accessory fees now that the advertised price was lower and began negotiating this as I was very interested in this specific car. I am located about 250 miles from this dealership so asked if I could put a deposit down, they said no. I then asked if I could do paperwork remotely, and their next excuse was they recently stopped allowing that, something they said was a possibility 2 weeks earlier if I agreed to paying the $4,000 in accessories. I asked if I'm supposed to fly there to pick the car up when there is no guarantee it will be there. Basically they wanted me to get there so they could get full price out of me when I had no other option but buy the car or fly back. After multiple days, we agreed to a price for the car and they said they will agree to do online paperwork. The sales managers then ignored me for two days after that, not returning calls, and I looked online and the car had been sold to someone else. Do NOT buy from this dealership! Right after leaving the lot, we realized one of the car's lights wasn't working, and instead of taking responsibility, they told us we have to pay for the repair. I'm still waiting for them to fix the light -- it's been ridiculous. To make things even worse, my insurance just called saying the information they got doesn't match what the DMV has on file. When I contacted the DMV, they confirmed that Pedder Nissan submitted the paperwork incorrectly. I've called the dealership several times, left messages, and nobody answers or calls back. I bought 2 cars in 2021. Have warranty on both. The Rogue has been in multiple times for electrical and computer problems. The frontier came back 3 times. Twice for no air-conditioning. A new car with put air conditioner. One time I took my car in for pik change and tire rotation. I sat and waited. From the inside I can see my truck. The service department comes back and says all done. And I said they never rotated my tires. I could see my truck and it was never lifted to be rotated. Because I didn't want to get my cars service there I sold my truck. I went in to cancel my extended warranty and no money back. I've been waiting since November and I've calked a dozen times. I don't normally write reviews, but my experience with this Nissan dealership was so outrageous that I feel obligated to warn others. When I purchased my vehicle a little over a year ago, the salesperson who wrote up the contact gave me completely false information about what it would cover. I was told if I bought the extended warranty that it would cover everything from transmission to electrical work; anything besides normal wear and tear like tires or brake pads would be covered. On Monday this week I brought my car in for what should be a warranty-covered issue as it is an electrical component, and I was told they found the issue and had submitted it to the warranty company. The dealership said they would call me back the following morning but they did not. After multiple attempts to reach someone who could provide any information, I was finally able to speak with someone who told me that the claim was denied but they could not tell me why. I asked for the information about the claim/part that needs to be replaced so I could follow up with the warranty company myself but they said they could not provide me with that information and I would have to go in to request the info and pay in order for them to release my car back to me. Pay to pick up my car? What? I was never informed of any diagnostic fee if the warranty didn't cover the repair -- but I was still charged $200 without warning. To make things worse, after going in and paying to get my vehicle back, I was left waiting and ignored. When I got up and asked when they would be releasing my car to me, I was met with aggression, with the sales rep shouting at me that I hadn't been waiting long and just needed to wait. In addition, they would not give me any documentation about whats going on with my car and stated they would email it to me by tonight. It has been 4 hours and is now past 8 at night. It gets more outrageous; I was then informed that they had lost my key and could not return my car and to come back another day! I'm not even sure my car was there or if they took it for personal use based on everything leading up to this, I don't trust them and I warn others to stay away. Because of the seriousness of these fraudulent and dishonest actions, we will be escalating this matter with the warranty company, the California Attorney General's Office, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and any other appropriate state and federal agencies. A business that treats customers this way should not be allowed to operate without facing real consequences. read more

Terrible experience . I took my Nissan Titan truck into the Pedder to to examine why it was sometimes necessary to jiggle the key in the ignition to start it and that at times excessive smoke came out of the tail pipe. What thry told me after I paid $200.00 and a $6.00 charge to use my credit card for atotal of $206.00 was that I needed a new engine for$8,634.14 and A Rack& Pinion for $2,443.62. In addtionthat it would not pass the smog test until I replaced the cataltic converters. All false! I took it to another mechanic . The ignition just needed to be adjusted , the engine was fine it also just needed an adjustment and the truck easiy passed smog. I called their so called customer service number to discuss the situation and to explicity request a refund . What I got was a we will look into it and have someone contact you. I see why this place has low ratings. I took my car to get serviced under my warranty. They took 2 days to figure out what was wrong with it. Next day said they had to order parts. Took over a week to get parts in. They called me, i called them back, nobody returned call. 3 days later got an email saying my ticket was closed mind you none of the service was done. I called questioning why my ticket was closing without service. The man who answered said that doesn't mean it's closing and service advisor will call back.. never called back.. I called again and they said they sent the parts back because I never called back and now the warranty is past the mileage and they won't fix it. This place is a joke. read more
