I thought, sure would be nice to have that Jeep when I was contacted by a salesman who said hey, are you interested in vehicle? I said yeah, but the numbers probably won't work out. He goes, Let's see what we can do. This morning I called Pedder Chrysler to ask about a VW Jetta they had online for $16,200. They young lady that answered the call was very nice, and I explained I was buying a first time vehicle for my 20 year old son. I explained that I personally only had $15K to work with, and that my son had come up with another 2K, and wanted to know if they could make the out the door price work with that. She excused herself to run it buy the manager, Jesus, and when she returned she assured me that they could work within what we had. So I ended up getting my sons hopes up and we headed down there. She had asked us to speak to Jesus. But we were later assigned a different sales manager and a younger sales person. This was headed the wrong way from there, and ended up being a complete waste of my time. The first thing this other manager (Eddie, Think) came up with was well over 20K, nothing near what I talked about with the young lady in before we came. This is a used vehicle- They wanted to add $995, for a security system, nearly $3200 for a protection plan and it goes on. AGAIN USED VEHICLE with 60K miles not the lower milage that was advertised. The passenger mirror was broken and the car lurches ahead when driving at lower speeds. They're a scuffs on the back, so definitely not a new car, and yet here they were trying to inch this used car with 60K+ miles on it up to the price of the new ones. I had already explained how frustrated we were with the dealer in Huntington Beach that tried to play the same game. Do they all just assume we are a bunch of idiots? They tried to tell me they just installed this paint protection and security stuff. So, I am assuming they think the first owner had none of that stuff? Does that make any sense? I am so tired of going to car dealers that just assume that you will pay the price for a new car on a car that was somebody else's problem ? There are reasons the previous owners get out of them at 60K+ miles. As the manager went on, they told me that they could get the price down some but for whatever reason could not manage to get it down to the $17868 that it should have been with taxes license and registration transfer. Instead the best they could do, was over $21K. Just once I would like to meet an honest car dealer. It sets the precedence for a relationship you will have with this dealer for the next 4-5 years. If one is good, two is better. This is the second RAM 1500 I've bought FROM Hemet. Feras was super chill and easy to woke with. Like my last deal, I did everything via text and pics of my trade. We settled on a price, had the docs drawn up and then I made the drive to Hemet. Sure, Feras could have delivered it, but the wife and kids wanted to get out of the house. So we took the hour and half drive. At least we got to see some cow herds and emus and alpacas on the way. My littlest one loved the drive. When we got to the dealership, the truck we negotiated was out front, washed and fueled up. Mo in finance had the docs ready, and I was out in less than 10 minutes. The drive home was better than the drive there in our new truck. The boys gave a thumbs up and promptly fell asleep (that's how smooth and quiet it is). I recently purchased a 2024 Honda Civic from the Hemet dealership, and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing. Within just one month of owning the vehicle, the car would not start. I had to contact my personal mechanic to diagnose and repair the issue because I was unable to get assistance in a timely manner from the dealership. In addition, my mechanic discovered that the vehicle was missing the splash shield underneath the car and that there were loose parts that should have been addressed during a proper inspection prior to sale. This raised serious concerns about whether the vehicle was thoroughly inspected before being sold. I also attempted to resolve the issue directly with the dealership. I left a message for the manager before contacting my mechanic, but the communication and customer service I received were unprofessional. When I later returned to request reimbursement for the repair costs caused by these issues, the manager declined to help. I've been a returning customer of Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Hemet and have always had good experiences--until my most recent visit. I took my 2021 Jeep Gladiator in because the stop/start feature stopped working for the second time in just over a year. Unfortunately, the service I received from Service Advisor Danny was extremely disappointing. Initially, the interaction was fine, but things changed once he tried to sell me over $2,300 in additional "recommended" services. When I respectfully declined, his attitude completely shifted he became short, dismissive, and uninterested in helping. I had been told when scheduling my appointment that a ride home would be provided, but when I asked, Danny acted like he was doing me a personal favor and even said he'd need his manager's approval because he "didn't want to get written up again." A few hours later, he called to say the issue was the auxiliary battery (a common problem Jeep owners are familiar with). He never checked my previous service history to see that the same battery had already been replaced just over a year ago. When I asked about warranty coverage, he finally looked it up and said it was a couple of weeks past warranty then told me it would cost $350 for the battery plus $225 in labor. When I said I couldn't afford that right now, he said I'd still have to pay the $225 diagnostic fee, so essentially, I paid $225 for nothing. When I picked up my Jeep, I wasn't given a proper invoice detailing the work performed only a credit card receipt for $225. Every other time I've received service here, I immediately got a follow-up request to leave a review, but after this experience, I never received one. That alone speaks volumes about how poor service experiences are handled (or avoided). I've been loyal to this dealership for years, but this visit was enough to make me reconsider returning. Saw a used truck I really liked, drove up, liked it, and made a discounted offer on it. Their counter remained the same as the price advertised. Told me they had removed all the add-ons from the price, yet the price was still the same. When I asked what was removed, was simply told me again all the add-ons were removed. They couldn't say what they were or explain why the price didn't change at all from their listed price. The look they gave me was "How can you not understand this?". I've had terrible experiences with both Hemet and Lake Elsinore Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. Unfortunately, both dealerships are run by the same ownership group--and it really shows. From the start, I ran into multiple issues and misleading practices at both locations. They often advertise the same vehicle at both dealerships, claiming it's in stock, only for you to find out--after driving there--that they don't actually have it. Instead, they try to push you toward a completely different vehicle. On one occasion, they told me the truck I was coming to see had "just sold." Later, I learned it hadn't sold at all--it was actually sitting at their other location. A month later, I decided to give them another chance. Big mistake. I called about a truck I was interested in and asked for the out-the-door (OTD) price. That's when the runaround began. They refused to remove nearly $4,000 worth of unwanted add-ons like paint protection and nitrogen tires. When I said I didn't want any of those extras, the salesman--Pablo--told me flat-out that if I removed them, they'd have to increase the base price because "that's how the dealership makes money." That's not just unethical; it's also against California law, which clearly states add-ons must be optional and disclosed upfront. On top of that, they withhold rebates and incentives unless you use their financing. They make it seem like the factory offers disappear if you don't finance through them, which simply isn't true. They also refuse to honor 0% APR or other promotional offers from Ram unless you go along with their terms, leaving you with no real choice but to pay more. When you ask for a pricing breakdown, they won't give one--just a total number they "come up with." They never clearly show which rebates or discounts are applied, making it impossible to verify what you're actually paying for. After being passed between three different people, no one ever gave me a straight answer. Pablo promised to call me back about the truck but never did. I tried following up, was told someone would contact me, and--again--nothing. A friend of mine emailed asking for an OTD quote and got the same treatment. The pattern is always the same: the moment you refuse their add-ons or ask for clear pricing, they completely ghost you. It's clear they prefer to get you onsite so they can pressure you into a deal and take advantage of you face-to-face. It's frustrating that these two dealerships are the closest Dodge stores to me. Thankfully, the Temecula location is independently owned and not part of the same group. Honestly, if it were, I'd be driving a Ford or Chevy instead. Bottom line: Don't trust the online pricing from Hemet or Lake Elsinore Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. They won't honor advertised rebates or factory offers unless you use their financing, they refuse to provide a transparent price breakdown, and they won't remove overpriced add-ons. This dealership broke the rear view mirror off the windshield of my 2019 Chrysler 300. The little plastic cover was a little loose. I asked them to see if they could fixed it. Four hours later I'm still waiting for my car from a quick oil change that should have been less than an hour. The service Advisor, Daniel Campagna finally tells me they broke the rearview mirror off my windsheild and they can't figure out how to fix it. I had to drive home with no mirror. Turns out they tried to glue the piece that holds the mirror to the windshield back on but they glued it on cockeyed so nobody could get the mirror to go back on. Ended up having to get a whole new windsheild because the glue they used was so strong the mount could not be taken off without breaking the window. For three weeks I've been trying to get the Service Manager Diego Rivera to call me back. I have had no call back. Their AI phone system will not let you get through to Diego. Tried to get in touch with the General Manager Tevita Taukeiaho to call me back. Same thing, had to leave a message with their AI receptionist because you can't get through to the General Manager. This place used to be good. Seems like the whole crew has changed over. Only interested in up-selling services you don't need. If you don't buy them they don't want to deal with you. They obviously don't care about their long term customers. From my experience everyone in their service department is completely incompetent.
