I was so happy to find this sweet place. The first time I went there I was calling random hair salons to get a hair cut in the next day or so, Janna was one out of four places that I called that actually called me back. She was very accommodating on the phone and got me right in. I love that the salon is a one women show and that she does it all herself. These days that is hard to come by. I liked my initial cut so much that I recently went back for a new look trusting that I was in good hands. Janna listened to what I had in mind and elaborated on how it would look on me and different ways that I could change it up for a different look. It's a very warm and fuzzy kind of place, and it's so refreshing to know that this type of salon still exists. She is one of a kind and a great find. Lucky me !!!!! read more

I had an appointment with the owner, Janna. I waited 15 minutes and called her to see what was going on. She never showed up for my scheduled appointment or returned my phone call. I had a lot of other things planned around this and took time off work to make this appointment. Very disappointed and frustrated. The pwner's response below is false. I did receive a phone call from her 3 days after my missed appointment saying she "totally forgot and had two kids in camp." I did not make this story up. If i could give zero stars that's where I'd start. If you have curly hair and think this is a good place to go based on the name .. it's not. Do your research and save your money. The owner cut my daughters curly hair almost 4 years ago and we are still trying to fix the damage this woman caused!!!! She cut deep layers in the back of her hair! Any stylist who has experience working with curly hair knows there is a good 5-10 inch "bounce factor" with curls! The salon really should consider changing its name. Like many people I've had an ongoing quest to find a good salon to have a standing relationship with. I found Danika on social media and she's taken excellent care of me ever since. I've been coming here for almost a year now and she's nursed my hair back from the edge, from rainbow to ombre and now to blonde. Something I see a lot of people complain about on salon reviews is their own impatience. If you expect to keep your hair and engage in big changes you have to be patient and partner with your hairdresser! Danika is excellent about this and her great personality and sense of humor make it easy to take the necessary time for perfection. The salon isn't large but they make it work very well and the ladies always make you feel very welcome! My only complaint is something they have no control over: downtown Santa Rosa's parking enforcement which is a total cluster. Depending on where you park it can range from easy to clear as mud. Save the hassle and park in the garage or a lot. read more

I was kind of taken aback when I walked in and three weiner dogs ran at me. Janna is really cool and will listen to what you want and do whatever needs to be done to fix it and make it perfect. My hair dresser moved away so I went to Eaststone to get Haircut, The girl that cut my hair was extremly rude.took big chunks was only cutting bottom ,so owner cut my hair and left back longer then sides, and said it was alright girl was rude becaus e she was good. So I called laura at Diamond And curls and she came to my salon up the street to give me haircut, I told her I wanted no layering in bottom of hair ,She layered bottom of hair , I went to another hairdresser that did my hair for a long time she showed me back of hair and there were 4 long pieces hanging down , instead of it being cut straight across. She also said the layer she did on bottom would take four months or more to grow out. I also had to cut to long pieces off the side . The owner of Diamond and curl was rude to me because a year ago one of her girls qoated me to low of a price, I told Laura to be very careful cutting my hair because I was having problems with eyes .Thi is very mean and unethical behavior, they think this is funny that I dont like the way I look for at least a month, I dont want to go places now, I give always good Haircut even if I dont like someone I still give good haircut . I h ave to suffer alot now for at least a month . this is mean unethical behavior, not funny read more
