I can't believe it's taken me 14 years to write a review of my favorite hair salon and more importantly, my favorite hair stylist, Eden. I just saw another review on here that was less than complimentary, so I wanted to give you my honest opinion. Eden has been wrangling my menopausal mane for over a decade; not a job for the faint of heart, let me tell you. My hair is thin but also frizzy and I have little patience or time to do much with it. But once a month I go to Eden and she performs some witchy kind of magic on my hair and I come out of the salon feeling like a million dollars. And on the point of dollars, Eden's prices are very reasonable. I know this because I'm a nurse and we compare notes on our hair salons. Anyway, I love Sasee Salon. It's very tastefully decorated and has a boutique of cute clothes, purses, and other trinkets. Thank you Eden and apologies for taking so long to write the review you so deserve. read more

I'm really surprised I haven't done a review for Sassee yet. I've been going here to see Tara for many years now. I go here specifically for Tara, she's amazing and does a great job dying my ginger hair any color I want from brown to pink. If you don't know dying or bleaching red hair can be a real nightmare and I've had many stylists mess it up or charge me hundreds for no change at all. Tara always gets my hair the exact color and style I ask for and is always honest with me about the process. The salon is quite lovely. Has a very boutique vibe. They have a little snack, bar and drink bar for everyone. Everyone who rents a spot or works there seems very friendly and professional. There's usually always parking right in front or across the street. It is downtown Cotati, though, so depending on events, the parking can be a little rough, but I've never had an issue. read more

I WAS a client for 10 years, but not anymore. Eden raised her price $135. I'm guessing this is the salon's practice. She's not that good to raise her price from $130 to $265 out of the blue. I definitely don't recommend going there. I think they're trying to justify their salon improvements and sticking their clients with the cost. Most of the stations are empty, that must tell you their level of expertise and service. read more

Sasee Salon is a relaxing and comfortable salon located in downtown Cotati. I was recently looking for a new salon and a person to cut my hair. A friend recommended Sasee Salon and I was also recommended to Amber. I set up an appointment with Amber directly and visited the salon on a Sunday afternoon. Amber was so welcoming and friendly and she did a wonderful job cutting and styling my hair! I also enjoyed that she was available during the weekend, which was perfect for my schedule! The salon has a nice atmosphere with a seating area for while you wait, many hair stations and a beverage station too. In addition to hair they also offer makeup and bridal services. The haircut pricing was affordable and includes a wash and style. Pricing does vary depending on the stylist so be sure to check with your stylist on their individual pricing. I look forward to visiting Sasee Salon and having Amber cut and style my hair again in the future! read more

Got some extensions done by Amanda they lasted 20 day exactly paid $1000. & Color was mismatched! Says she's not gonna refund anything :-( She had even agreed they were bad Extentions sh said I had to pay for more hair and that she would put them in for free...so even more money out of my pocket! She sent them back and was told to tell me the water i used to wash them was too hot ( it was bath water temp was 100 !!!) I have left a picture of the mismatch color that was done as well! I will not be back I did have ro go to another salon to have color corrected by color specialist! Buyer beware she says they will last n agreed they were bad but when it came to standing behind her words NO REFUND was given! I have had extention now for over 5 years done by others and no problems like this ever! read more

I had to cancel the same day and she quickly set up another the following week. Marla is so very talented as I am sure they all are. I was in great hands! I had grown out my roots for 6 months which is a long time for a blonde but I wanted to achieve an ombre balyage look. I searched for stylists locally and decided on Sasee Salon. I had the worst out come ever! Don't go to Amanda she was unprofessional about everything. My hair was ruined and ended up going somewhere else to have it fixed that cost me hundreds. If I could give 0 stars I would. I found out from the board of cosmetology the building where the salon is located isn't permitted for business. Don't take your chances and go to a legit salon. read more

Kayla is AMAZING. After searching for a new nail place to get a much-needed (and deserved?) pedicure, I settled on Sasee because a) it is right down the street from my house and b) Kayla happened to have two available appointments for my mom & I. I am SO HAPPY I called because I do believe that I have found THE PEDICURE spot in Cotati. Incidentally, I was looking for something in-between a quick'n'easy nail place (Star Nails on E. Cotati) & a full spa experience (Coldwater Creek Spa in SR). Kayla easily spent over an hour on my mom & I, and let me tell you - she gave me the best foot rub ever! (I'm not gonna lie, I was half-hoping that she'd hit those magic pressure points that are said to induce labor. No labor, but the pure pedi bliss made up for it.) She used an amazing foot scrub and wrapped our feet in waxed strips that left my toesies so soft & smooth. Her polish job was impeccable and, after over two hours total, we left the salon feeling super happy & relaxed. At $30, you can't beat Kayla's pedicures or her price! My only cautions are: 1) she takes only cash or checks (but she let me run down the street to grab $ from Oliver's) 2) you may become addicted to the experience Consider yourself warned & be prepared for the bliss! read more

So, I was at Teasing Ceasar trying to make an appointment with my stylist only to find out that she left. Wendy happened to be there and I needed a haircut... regardless. I love Wendy, she is friendly. She listens to what you want, but suggests ideas and tells you why. Which is really good, because she knows how thick, wavy hair works better than I do. I went to Drea at Sasee Salon this evening with my daughter. I have to say that Drea has given me the best hair of my life at a very fair price. The talent here that the women have is undeniable. Amy Lawrence has been my hair dresser for over five years. I came to her with my hair fried from another hairdresser and was extremely stressed out about the damage. First of all she comforted me the minute I got in the chair by the way she handle the situation. Then with time my hair was healthy and the style was exactly what I was looking for. I am extremely picky about who touches my hair from having too many bad hair days. I schedule appointment with her every 3.5 - 4 weeks and in the five years that I have been using her services I have only cancel twice. I can't recommend Amy enough. Emily Fye is my eyebrow master!! I have searched high and low for someone to perfect the shape I was looking for! I showed her one picture and she was so patient, listened to my requests. She went on with her magic! She has repeatedly given me the same shape each time without having to review before each appt! She also has helped me with my skin. Can we say adult acne and DRY!! She has helped get me on a plan to clear up my skin and keep it glowing while in my 30s! She's not quick to push product sales on you. She allows you to see if the products she's trying work for you. Then she will be sure to get you all dialed in when it comes to all your skin care. I trust Emily and refer her every time! I went here for the first time last week, because I found them on Yelp. It was my first time going to a salon in the area... I got a partial highlight and cut, and it was very well priced. Amber did my hair. She did such a great job! She did it just like I like and the color looks great. She is really friendly and talkative, she also took her time (I used to go to a stylist who would do 2 appointments at a time- horrible). I've gotten my hair done by Amber Stewart for a few years now, and she's amazing! I always recommend her to friends and family and they've all had great experiences with her as well. I'm really particular about my hair, and she is always patient to listen to me try to explain what I want and always figures it out and encourages me to try fun new things. She's done everything for me - all over color, low lights, peek a boos, cuts, styling (up and down-do's), and does a fantastic job every time. It doesn't hurt that she's a total sweetheart too! I just left Sasee Salon and had Drea do my hair! I had extensions put in, my hair colored and a haircut. I have to say, I have NEVER had a better job than I have had with Drea! It was a test with color, cut, and extensions. I thought 1 of those services would be better than the rest. Nope..the best color, cut and extensions. She is professional, cares about the outcome, and I will never go to another stylist again. I ran to a friends house after my appointment to show my 3 girlfriend's. It is always scary trying a stylist for the first time so we met to critique. She gets an A++. Trust me, I have been to them all...she will be your last stylist for ever!! read more

Nashay did my hair today and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! She knew the color I wanted and used her smarts to go a shade darker when my hair took the bleach stronger than she thought. This review is for Tara Tiemann, and The Sasee Salon For two years I tortured my hair with wild colors, and it has ended up a pale rose blonde. My roots grew out an inch, and it was looking sad. I called the salon and got an appointment for two days later right away. Several other salons which I had called days earlier never even returned my call. I booked an appointment with Tara, who was ready to see me even though I was a few minutes early. The salon is absolutely classy! No attention to detail was spared, the decor is fabulous throughout every room. The hair salon area (it is a full service salon and boutique) was very comfortable with great, flattering lighting, most of which was natural from the big lovely windows. The chairs are comfortable (I sat for three hours with patient Tara rectifying my hair mess), as are the washing sinks. She was able to match my roots to my oddball, yet lovely rose-gold color. She is great with blonde and pink :) She also gave me a fabulous hair cut to even out my DIY style.. The entire time she was completely attentive to me, very sweet and easy to talk to. She dried and styled my hair, which is quite long, layered and likes to be curled. I never like it when other people style my hair, but she actually did a great job! She made sure I really loved it before I left. She is everything a great stylist should be and I recommend her talents to anyone who loves their hair. PS - SO affordable compared to most Sonoma county salons, none of which have the lovely atmosphere of this place. AND if you ever want to go get a fabulous pedicure, wow the pedicure room is AMAZING and sooo luxurious. Suzy read more

What can I say! Bekki is amazing!! I have followed her from Hair Couture to Wine Country Bride to Sasee Salon.I trust nobody else with these locks! I had not been in to have my hair done in a year due to some personal issues so she had her work cut out for her. I wish we would have gotten a before picture, but alas we completely forgot. Anyway, I went from about 8 inches of grow out, with blonde tips, kinda pulling off a cheap ombre look to a ash blond with side swept bangs. Took over four hours to fix my hair and it was worth it! I love this woman and she always takes good care of my hair and is just a lovely person, fun to talk to and the hours fly by. Just had my hair cut and highlighted by Drea and I'm thrilled with the results! I went in with brown, box dyed, super frizzy hair and wanted to start the process of going back to blonde. I had my first cut here with Tori today and had an awesome experience. I have short (like, SHORT) hair and it can be really hard to find a stylist who can give me a GOOD cut. She knew all the ins and outs of my hair, had fantastic creative vision, and all the cutting skills to back it up. I walked out with an awesome faux hawk and was totally satisfied. Also, she and her other staff members were super down-to-earth and fun to talk to, which just made it an overall comfortable and enjoyable experience. Amanda has been my stylist for YEARS. We met in beauty school and she has done my hair ever since! I recently relocated and tried trading with one of the new ladies at my new salon (I do massage and skin) and the difference was crazy! My best friend who is naturally blonde and gets high/low lights also had her hair done by this new person instead of Amanda and absolutely hated it! her hair looked stripped with really unflattering off colors, my hair looked coppery and faded horribly like a box dye! Sasee Salon is one of the nicest salons I have ever been to in Sonoma County. Amanda Hopkins my stylist is awesome! She is so flexible and easy going with her scheduel which is hard to find in the salon world. As a new mom my time is few and far between and she has always gone out of her way to make it work. Still coming to see Amanda at Sasee, still 5 solid stars. Amanda is amazing, her services are super reasonably priced, and the vibe at the salon is friendly and inviting. I look forward to my monthly visits! I have A LOT of hair. Like big, a la Roseanne Rosannadanna. Before Amanda, I was never able to walk out of a salon ready for prime time. Not only would I have giant hair that obscured my peripheral vision and uneven color that was all wrong for my skin tone (and all over my skin), I would be disheartened and constantly questioning whether I should break up with my stylist. In short, I would immediately reach for a clip or pony tail holder and run for the shower, lamenting the money I'd wasted. That was BA... as in "Before Amanda." In the Year of Amanda, everything is great. The products smell good and work, scheduling always meets my needs, and best of all my forehead isn't stained black. An even better, I can actually go out in public after leaving the salon. I even get compliments! read more
