When me and my then boyfriend went to Diamonds Direct in 2018 to look at engagement rings, we were very pleased! We had someone greet us and they took their time with us explaining the shapes, cut, color, etc. It was a great experience for me! Since then they have still managed to take care of me. When I needed to resize my ring they took care of everything. Any time I need my ring cleaned I can stop by without having to call and it only takes about an hour. Service: you have to wait to be let inside. Greeted by locked doors. The lady at the front desk doesn't say a word just points her finger when you're allowed to go inside. Second, you're greeted by another lady that acts as a host at a restaurant and takes down your name and asks what you're looking for. This serves absolutely no purpose as we tell her we are looking for men's wedding bands so she points us to the back of the building. We look around and wait 15-20 mins before being acknowledged by any sales staff. One older gentleman was standing behind the counter looking directly at us, helping no one, and never said a word to us or asked if he could help. Once we got the attention of a sales representative, we told him we wanted to look at a few men's wedding bands. So he helped us try on a few. Once we got down to what we were looking for and style, budget, etc, this is where it really went south. We mentioned we had liked another ring at Jared's and asked if they had it. They acted appalled that we even mentioned Jared's and immediately began talking about the poor quality that ring must have been compared to their rings. They asked us how much that ring was and we told them under $500. That's when the salesman pulled out a dusty box of tungsten rings and said well this is about all I have and he did not recommend any of them. He said if we go that route then we could just order them offline and make sure we buy 2 or 3 because of the poor quality of the rings. I was under impressed with the overall experience. The staff did not seem like they were interested in truly helping us unless we wanted to spend over $1,200 on a men's wedding and. They were not helpful. I would not recommend based on our experience here. They are quick to move on the next customer when things do not go their way. They had a larger selection of wedding bands which is what peaked our interest but the customer service experience was unsatisfying. read more

I went with my wife to look for a budget minded ring for our 16th anniversary. Pros: Very well trained, nice people who offer you coffee, water or wine when you walk up to the counter. Lots of shiny things. Cons: There is noooothing in this building that is even remotely classified as "a good deal" unless you consider a 20K ring for only 15K a bargain. This is by far my favorite jewelry store in town. I like that it does not feel "stuffy" and the sales people are always helpful without being pushy. I lost the back to one of my earrings and went by recently to get a replacement. They replaced it at no charge and cleaned the earrings, and some other jewelry I was wearing (a couple of pieces were prior purchases from this location), while I sipped apple cider and read a book (I had extra time on my hand that day:). For those with kids, I noticed they had a nice playroom that the kids seemed to enjoy while their parents shopped. All in all, I like the fact that even on a visit when I didn't purchase anything, I was still given stellar service. This place will definitely be my go-to for future jewelry purchases. read more

I don't exactly enjoy being spoken to like I'm an idiot. I understand that it's part of being a salesperson to get the customer what they don't know they want, but when I specifically ask for something and you spend literally 30 minutes gathering items for your "education session" on a bunch of stones, exactly none of which I SPECIFICALLY requested, you're not gonna make a sale. And that's exactly why a sale did not take place at Diamonds Direct--a few other reasons simply solidified my choice to never be a customer at this establishment: a.) when you speak to me as though I'm an idiot (per sentence #1) b.) when you seem very unenthusiastic about helping me c.) when you insult my tastes in products d.) when you lie about the quality/value of certain products just because your store does not carry them e.) when you spend 1.5 hours explaining to me that Diamonds Direct is the BeEeSsST because there isn't a middle man--idgaf about how many "men" or hypothetical prices for similar products you give me for other jewelry stores. I didn't come for a lecture on pricing f.) AND THE FINAL DRIVING POINT: when, at the end of your sales pitch I decline to provide you with my name, phone number, and email, you spend 5 ADDITIONAL minutes arguing with me to give my information. Why is "no, thank you" not sufficient? "No" is a complete sentence...do NOT continue to hound me when I say it to you. And DEFINITELY do not ask me if I'm "running from the law" like this specific sales associate did. TL;DR: I will never return to this store. I have always heard fantastic things about this place, but I have had nothing but frustration with this store. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for engagement rings. They offer quick and fantastic service to sell you a ring, only to bypass you when you need a repair or any help after the sale has been made. The diamond on my fiancées ring has fallen off twice and it's a nightmare trying to get it fixed. In addition to the incredibly long wait times on repair, the customer service is sub par. They will get to you when they have time, only after the sale has been made. I call looking for updates and I am promised a delivery date of my ring on a certain day, only to have to wait weeks past the promised day. I have lost trust in the customer service and the quality of the rings. I will not be back and I will be sure to tell my friends and family about my terrible experience here. I work in sales every day and I know this is not how customers are suppose to be treated. When I finalize a sale, I follow up and do everything I can to make sure the customer is pleased. You cannot forget about your customers when the cash has been given to you and the sale is closed. I have been to two different sales agents and every time I walk in with a repair they walk right by me. I purchased a ring from this place about 4 years ago and left thinking I got a great deal. It took a while to actually get the ring because the sales person was trying to haggle with me for the price. So when it was all said and done, I thought I came out a winner. Boy was I wrong! My husband and I have moved to Southern California where diamond jewelry is much more accessible so I have become a collector of sorts. I've been keeping my ring that I purchased from this place assuming that it was too precious to let go of but one day I decided I wanted an upgrade and went to my trusted jeweler to see what he could offer me for the ring I purchased at Diamonds Direct. He said that the center diamond was so low quality, and he pointed out all the inclusions, the fluorescence and that it was actually a smaller size than what they sold it to me for (they claimed it was a 3/4 ct). This was not apparent to me at the time of purchase because the stone was already set in a halo setting, probably hiding its flaws and actual size plus lighting in the store enhances sparkle. Diamonds Direct charged me $5000 plus for a Christopher Designs setting with a 0.61 H color I1 center diamond! And my jeweler said the most he could offer me was less than 1/5 that price?! I was quite pissed when I found this out and just went ahead and traded the ring in for a much bigger, better stone and setting, which cost almost the same as the original amount that Diamonds Direct charged me. I just wanted to get rid of it right then and there. I upgraded to a 1.3 ct emerald cut E color VS1 diamond in a fabulous setting not made by any well known jewelry designer. The new ring is 50000000000x better! So word to the wise, never buy diamonds/engagement rings from these nice looking, over advertised, retail stores because the mark-up is REAL!!! The "designer" settings they sell to go with their low quality overpriced stones are soooo not worth it. Find an honest one off jeweler that will give you an awesome deal! read more

Mrs. Dee Carvalho, is phenomenal! I had stopped to see if I could get my wife wedding ring repaired, she lost one of her diamonds out of the cluster in her wedding ring. So, I sat down for a few minutes and was approached by Mrs. Dee, by the time she finished with me, I was astounded by the imagination and creativeness she came up with! I was beyond words and smiling from one ear to the ear. I thought that the repair & redesign would take weeks or months, but it was not even five days, she called me and told me to bring the Mrs., cause it was completed. When my wife saw it, I thought she was in shock, she loved it and so did I. The finish product blew us away, it was more than I could fathom up. So beautiful. They not only repaired the ring, but removed all the smaller diamonds and replaced it with a much bigger pear shape diamond that could be spotted from 15 tables away (smile Ken) I just want to thank Mrs. Dee and her team, for taking the time to make this ring more beautiful than ever! read more

Do you like overpaying for diamonds? Do you like being told you're getting the best prices around then finding out they're overcharging you $3K for comparable rings at other spots? Personally, I don't like those things so therefore my personal opinion of Diamonds Direct is that they are marketing geniuses but crooks all at the same time. Heard those radio ads pumping up their great prices and deals? Me too. Told you they would give you the best price from the get go? Me too. Lies. If I had unlimited funds, I would make my own marketing ads refuting everything that Diamonds Direct says. That and the Alexander Shunarrah commercials. Here is my advice for this place. Go to it and try on the rings to see what you want. Once you have an idea then go to another jeweler. My personal recommendation is Anthony & Co. off of Valleydale Road. If you're wondering why I have this view, here is my story: I go to Diamonds Direct to look for engagement rings. The jeweler makes me feel unbelievably stupid by talking about diamonds in the most ridiculous way possible. It's a sales tactic to make him seem like the expert so you believe everything he says. He tells me that Diamonds Direct makes their money on quantity rather than high prices. It's how they can give the best deals. He gives me his price for a certain ring which (surprise!) was right at the top of my budget. (Side note that I learned later...never give a jeweler your budget) I go to Anthony & Co and get a ring with a bigger stone, better cut and better clarity for $3K less!!! My blood pressure now rises every time I hear a Diamonds Direct commercial because I just think it's massive lies! My husband (an African-American Male) was racially profiled last night at the store by the security guard Stephen. I was not with my husband when he went to the store on last night, but all I could do was cry from the story when he came home to tell me about it. My husband and I are both educators and school leaders. We have spent close to 10k if not 10k at the store for our wedding bands and everything is paid in full. (No lingering balance). Even though they danced around what happened and didn't give a full apology to my husband... thank God I have the sweetest husband in the world. He handled the situation with class unlike the people at the store. They are very fortunate that I wasn't present because I would have called the news. We won't EVER spend another dime with them. Also they called me today on 0/15 for a fake investigation trying to make my husband and I out to be liars to save their image. Initially, we had some difficulties with communication from this company. Apparently, the ring had shown up incorrect, so they had to send it back. It ended up taking longer than we were originally told, which was frustrating since we didn't know why. However, after voicing our complaints, the manager explained the situation and helped cover our engagement photos that we had had to reschedule due to the delay, so when all was said an done, the customer service ended up being good. I can't comment on purchasing jewelry here, but their service was excellent and FREE! I brought in 3 wedding rings/bands to be cleaned as well as a watch. All items were done w/in 30 mins and there was no charge (as I expected). I also left my watch for a battery change and a bracelet that needed a charm added. They were ready before the promised date and they did not charge me a dime for anything. Most jewelers are $10-$12 for a battery and I figured $10 for the charm. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. By the way, NONE of the items I had cleaned or serviced came from Diamonds Direct. We have our wedding bands and my engagement ring purchased from here and within the past 2 years I've dropped it off every couple of months for a quick cleaning and it is so nice and convenient!! They do an amazing job at keeping the jewelry they sell clean and sparkly :) we always look for Emily when we go- she is super sweet and keeps it real! Also look out for really cool events that limit interest rates or even events for champagne and snacks! I do believe they always have a beverage area in the back with beer/wines coffees and waters which is nice especially if you have to wait a bit to see somebody for assistance. Long story short, I had an accident and smashed my finger... ring finger on my left hand. The ring my fiance bought is beautiful and I am wearing it as engagement now, but it will be my wedding band. So beautiful, it doesnt need anything else. That said, it was damaged in the accident and I took it in the next day. "No worries" they said, we will get it to the manufacturer and repair to ensure it is perfect. Great, except it was going to be 4 to 6 weeks.... wedding is out of town in 3 weeks. And THIS IS MY WEDDING BAND TOO. They were so understanding and helpful. I could not have had better help from a best friend. They had an exact replacement for me and I left with a ring and a smile. Wow so underwhelmed with this place. Everyday I listen to radio commercials about how they remove the middle man and give you more diamond per buck. Sounds great but unless you are mining the diamond or cutting it yourself you are the middle man. They offer wine and beer when you come in but honestly if that is what you judge a jewelery store on you should just go to Walmart and use the money you save on a case of beer. The store seems a bit run down like new carpet and paint are in order. The cases are really scratched up also. I wanted to get my wife some diamond earrings for our anniversary. Maybe this place is better with rings. They had allot of earrings to choose from but they all looked like they where just full of diamond dust. I even asked to see a pair way over what I was willing to spend. Once they where out of the case with all the really bright lights in it I felt they looked dingy. I don't need a class on color, and brilliance and all that. I know what looks good. If I look and I don't think wow I'm not buying it no matter the price.
