At first glance, the store appears unassuming; however, my experience was extremely positive, yet unexpected, as this has now become my favorite jewelry store. RJ and Vic went above and beyond to source me a Rolex set for my wife and I, with acquiring both a 40mm 18k Gold Rolex Day Date with President Bracelet, which included the factory diamond and gold dial for me, as well as a beautiful 31mm 18k Gold Rolex ladies Datejust paired also with the President bracelet. As my wife was drawn to diamonds in her Rolex, the owner Jeff was able to acquire a custom diamond dial and and custom diamond dial. From the day we went into the store, until when we picked up the watches today, the turnaround time was approximately 2 weeks, which included any custom work, overhaul, servicing ,and polishing. My understanding is the store has been at the same location for the last 43 years, and the owner, Jeff has created an extensive network, where he is well known and regarded in the industry. Thus, distributors are happy to work with the store and source items such as watches and gemstones (natural and lab grown) at much cheaper prices than other jewelry stores within driving distance AS WELL as online. Two weeks before my wedding, I noticed that my engagement ring was severely bent on the sides, and the top was going crooked. I was very distressed, as I had no idea how that happened so I began my search for jewelry repair. After visiting a few places, I found my way to Jeff and Judy at Diamonds Direct. Judy was so kind when we came in and assured me that if anybody could fix it, Jeff could do it. The next day when we spoke to Jeff, he was very knowledgeable and assured me that it could be fixed and not to be too upset. I was leaving in a week and a half for my destination wedding, and he told me he would be able to fix it in a day. I was overjoyed and my ring came back looking like the day it was slipped on my finger. He did a beautiful job and cleaned it up so it looked brand new. He delivered on time and with great expertise. When it comes to diamonds or Rolex there is no other person more honest or experienced in my opinion. I remember sending a guy to Jeff who had a Rolex with diamonds, emeralds, and rubies. This gentleman believed his watch was worth around $65,000.00 however with a quick examination with his loop Jeff indicated the band was not Rolex, the precious stones were fake, and the face and bezel were not Rolex. This is why it is important to know someone you can absolutely trust and Jeff is that person. I am sure not every business transaction goes as planned, that is a part of doing business, equipment failure, family emergencies, kids in trouble, or just honestly forgot, so allow yourself enough time to educate yourself and relieve your mind of any pressure to making a sound decision. I really hate to write a bad review but I feel strongly that I have given this business chance after chance 7 to be exact and even at the end of it all the experience was horrible.....this was supposed to be my dream wedding ring. Myself and my husband were both so excited we could finally make this happen...... The process started out great. I came in with exactly what I wanted in mind. The jeweler Jeff told me he could make the ring exactly how it looked in the picture. To be honest the price was fair. We proceeded and he asked if I needed the ring done by a certain deadline, I didn't so I said no. I asked how long it would take just to have an idea, he told me about a week. I thought wow that's really fast for a custom ring but ok that sounds great, as long as it's done right. I went over details with the jeweler and even gave them video and pictures of the exact ring so there was no question what I wanted. This was early November and a a couple weeks later I called to check on the status after not hearing anything. When I called I was told by Judy that oh well you need to ok the CAD drawing for us to get started! Well was anyone going to call me and let me know this information not to mention that wasn't told to me upfront. So I asked if they could email it so I could ok the ring. Couple more weeks went by and I call to check on the ring again, this time they told me it was being worked on ect it will be done next Tuesday. Not to mention friendliness was not what I got on the phone at all. We went back and forth about when the ring would be done about 5 times. Then it was an excuse that we are now into the holidays and they are soooo busy that this is just how it is. Ok so I finally call again and I am told the ring is done. I drive and hour up there only to find out they messed up the sizing twice and did not put a detail on the ring that was discussed and paid for and in the video and pictures!!Also when I went to pay, the price I was originally told would be $7,500 minus my $1,100 trade in now is $8,400 I was told I did the math wrong and I wasn't factoring in taxes, even though before I told them to start making the ring I said my husband wants an out the door number! I was over charged, not taken care and the absolute worst customer service I have ever ever experienced. The excitement was taken out of this situation. I was made to feel like I was always bothering them and I always had to call and track them down. Worst part is the ring still isn't right, I have prongs that catch on everything and after going to another reputable jeweler in my area that has been in business for 45 years (they are more expensive and that's why I didn't go with them to start) they told me the diamond was not set right and the prongs that are catching aren't even sitting on the diamond right. They felt the work was so bad they reset the diamond for free! I know not everyone has a good or bad experience and sometimes money isn't an issue for some people. If your on the fence or trying to decide if you should go here or not I would highly recommend to find someone else. Even given the good deal I got price wise I wish I could do it all over and go somewhere else. I honestly didn't even put a few other negative things in this review because I'm so frustrated and don't want to keep going on and on. I know it seems unbelievable but it's the truth. Some of the special order items do take longer than planned but you generally save money and they get you want you want. I've also bought a few other jewelry items from here since and recommend them to my friends. My mother-in-law has also had her broken jewelry fixed here and I believe has sold some gold she wasn't wearing anymore. HORRIBLE SERVICE! After walking into the store to ask a question, the blonde lady behind the counter was EXTREMELY RUDE. When I asked for service, she just sat there, gabbing away with her gum and large, collagen-infused lips and snapped back "I'm busy!". Her bitchy attitude is a huge reflection on how she runs her business, which doesn't offer the best options in the area. I asked her associate about how much they pay for sterling silver from customers, and they only pay the customers 30% of its value (as opposed to the standard 75% that other stores in the area pay). Keep looking. I worked with this company for a couple years before I moved on. Took a over a month to get my ring sized and they left pits in the backs of my rings and my diamonds were left loose. Lost my sister in laws diamond bracelet which was the last straw among other things. Cost very high for bad service. read more

Normally I go to my jeweler at UBS Gems in fullerton but recently moved out to mission viejo so I was looking for a shop who could resize my wedding band. I called before coming in and asked for a quote which was "less than $20..maybe $10-15" the woman said on the phone. My normal jeweler out in fullerton normally does this for free for me but since this shop was located 10 minutes from my house I decided why not. I dropped my ring off last week to be resized. Yesterday I had my husband come in to pick it up then they told him it would be $25. Before even paying he comes back to the car where I am waiting with our newborn baby to give me the price and I am shocked. I tell him to wait in the car and I go inside to see why the price is different. The lady then acted as if she did not remember the original price she quoted me then told me to wait for her manager. I am waiting for him to get off the phone for about 10 minutes before he comes over. He then proceeds to tell me that I look different. At this point I am fuming. I explain to him that it was my husband that just came in five minutes before me. But this is horrible customer service. I was the one who originally dropped off the ring so he should have remembered who I was. After repeating for what feels like the millionth time that they gave me a quote that was way less he then agrees to charge me $15. This was the worse customer service I have ever experienced and made me feel worried that they would not return my ring, which was a originally my deceased grandmothers, where I would have to call the police. On a lighter note my ring came out fine which kind of helps this shop out but in all honesty, I would never recommend anyone to go here. My jeweler Kurt at UBS Gems in fullerton is always VERY reasonable with his prices and such a friendly guy. Never coming back here. read more
