Wanted to try a more affordable nail salon in my area and found this place. Im pleasantly surprised at final product and super happy with the price. I got a gel x extension set and paid $77 for removal of my previous extensions, a new set, and cuticle removal which was extra. This combined is more affordable than the last salon I was going to so I had to share my experience! It was about 2 hrs and 15 minutes which to be honest was very long for me but i think the application and attention to detail was the trade off. I plan to come back for future fills and will update my review accordingly if my experience strays from this original one! Con: the removal method was a little rough. It was the method of essentially ripping/peeling off my old set when i feel like im used to soaking in acetone and filing off. Wanting to mention it in case anyone is sensitive to that and my nails were filed pretty thin. Colors: since it was my first time, I didn't have a chance to look at every single color option but i do recall they did offer some cat eye and chrome options for more. The upside for me too was that they offered colors with gold flakes (pictured) and there was no up charge. read more

I don't like giving such poor ratings to a small neighborhood business but I felt I needed to for transparency: Twice my husband has come here and gotten a toe infection from unclean utensils. He had to actually go to the doctor for antibiotics this time. Also when I went in for a regular manicure, the nail polish turned a weird dark brown color days after (from a light pink neutral color). My natural nails have been super fragile ever since. They have been breaking and chipping super easily which they've never done before. This place has good prices but at what cost? Unfortunately won't be returning to give them business which is sad bc I want places like this to survive but I also want good service/results as well and not to come out worse than before. The pay system thst they use with Venmo is also very annoying bc there's always issues with it. Unfortunately The friendliness is nonexistent as well. read more

I gave you 3 stars only because I know small business needed it .but I will never go back again . I paid for a foot massage, and the woman who did my hand nails kept asking me to pay before she started painting my nails. Of course, I understood why , and I tried to pay twice, but Venmo had some issues. I told her I would pay by card after everything was done, but she kept harassing me, asking me to connect with WiFi and wanting to touch my phone herself while I was supposed to be enjoying my foot massage. I will never go back there again; it was the worst service. Nails time supposed to be relaxed not being harassed for money ! read more

Very poor work on nails. I asked for buff and shine and was just given a typical trim of my nails. Aside the trim just a quick buff and some clear which was to me nail clear polish. I complaint to the lady providing me service and was then given to another person to finish the job. I mentioned to the initial nail lady that I didn't like the lousiness and wanted a buff and shine not a trim and clear. I will never go back! I also tipped the guy 10$ which was a good gesture on my end cause I respect peoples time. However embarrassing results! read more

Most expensive nail salon I've been to in LA, with the lowest quality service. If you're looking for an experience in self-care, go elsewhere. You'll leave feeling utterly robbed for the prices they charge here. And they're not very friendly. I went here because it was convenient, but I'd rather sit in LA traffic for half an hour than leave here feeling drained and financially taken advantage of. How they excuse these prices for such low quality of service is beyond me. Go to Toe Heaven in Santa Monica! Far better prices (last I was there it was only $35 for Manicure & Pedicure together!) and they give great, high quality service and are always friendly! 3 of us together made a noon appointment to celebrate a birthday Arrived at 11:55 and they were packed with walk ins. #1 waited 10 mins. #2 waited 15 mins. #3 waited 28 mins. We were seated separately. They started on #1 at 12:18. They started on #2 at 12:26. As of 12:30 they have no one working on #3 so he left. Then the massage chairs would not work. All 6 staff shrugged and said "maybe they are broken right now". Tried to tip with my credit card. Nope. Cash only. A spa full if women and the TV was blaring a CBS Sports football game and no one could find the remote to change the channel. This place has gone to the dogs. Just moved to this area and salons just opened up again so I thought I would try this salon out since it's walkable to my apartment I was hesitant because of negative reviews but thought I would try anyways They did a very nice job!! Pleasantly surprised! Very sanitary, min # of people allowed. My nails came out so well I got a basic pedicure and gel manicure and it was a great piece and honestly a really nice job! I posted a review several years ago and I was obviously upset and rightfully so. After Covid I came back and so much has changed...I happily update my review from a 1 star to 3stars. It's no fluff or frills but pretty good nails and Diane clearly has provided updated education because the quality of the work is soooooo much better! I usually get a gel pedicure which is great looks great and lasts literally a month to 5 weeks so worth the extra cost and I get acrylic gel nails and the shaping is better and I am happy. This is by far one of the worse place I have been to in a long time. I recently moved to playa Del Rey so I decided to try a local place instead on being stuck in tracking heading to Santa Monica where usually go. Besides reading all the negative reviews I decided to give this place a try. I just thought "this place can't be that bad there still in business" I'm not sure if it was just the two ppl I got. They finished my gel manicure and pedicure in about 30 minutes. It seemed like everything was rushed. My gel is really lumpy. The guy that did my manicure didn't really try to file my nails or buff them out after taking the gel off. My hands looks gross. The lady that did my toes took about 20 seconds on each foot to scrub them. My feet are peeing a lot around my toes and she left that on. I really regret giving this place a try. What a waste of $50. I had a simple request to take care of my cuticles because they were in bad shape. I would have paid extra with my acrylics but instead the nail techs got defensive and started arguing with me. They started talking about me in their language really fast and then one got in my face saying I need a manicure to get my cuticles pushed back and taken care of. Then proceeded to talk about me to other clients. I don't understand the reason for that. I came to relax, not to fight. So I did my cuticles as best as I could on the spot and my tech went straight to gluing the nails on. She didn't size up my nails to my other hand so they're all different sizes. I can't believe how rude and ready to fight over a simple request these ladies were. I wanted to walk out but I was in the process of getting a pedicure done and decided to not let them get to me. I've been here several times for manicures and pedicures and this was the first time I requested something. Their reactions to a simple request were unprofessional, unnecessary, and disgusting. (First timer here) I noticed their cleanliness when I first walked in. They had a lot of color options and the nice lady that was assisting me helped me pick out my color. She was very gentle and patient with me. Nice and clean massage chairs, news playing on the TV, quiet environment overall. Something to know before coming is that they do accept card BUT don't accept leaving a tip on card. Which is understandable so I'm very glad I brought cash with me. My pedicure looks great! I really want to like this place especially since it's so close to my house. I have given this place several chances and always walk away feeling...bleh. The service is very mediocre and I really wish they could put in more effort - for example a better massage with the pedicure instead of a few pats on the feet, cleaner nail polish application, and a little more time on the nail shaping. They get the job done and it's good for a quick and fast pedicure, but definitely not an upscale experience. read more

I have been going to this salon for over 2 yrs. and have had an ok experience. This last time I went was a complete cluster. A man took me to the back table (I asked why I wasn't in the spa chair) he said he wasn't told I wanted a pedi too. I got a powder dip, pedi and eyebrows done. It took the guy 2 hours (seriously) to do mani/pedi. I finally had to tell him that he had to hurry because I had a 3:45 appt. On Monday I went back and spoke to Diane and told her that my nails were very sharp and I wanted them re-done. My polish on my toes also got messed up. He didn't even put my shoes on, I had to do it. When Diane took the polish off my hands she said the powder looked good. she filed my nails and re-painted. She also went over my toes. (she even messed up but after dropping the bottle and it breaking all over the floor. 2 weeks and 2 days later, I lost 4 nails(my own) doe to chipping. I went back in yesterday, and she tried blaming me saying I should have come in 2 weeks. Oh I see 2 days makes a difference, especially when they were chipping the day after he did them. I told her to remove the powder and I would not be going back. She did exactly that. HORRIBLE customer service. Will NEVER step foot back in there again. read more

It's only my second time here and i brought a friend; and the services were rushed and quality of work was poor. I'm disappointed that it wasn't great; it's right up the street and just saddening. The owner wouldn't give the girl next to us almont shaped nails; my friends cuticles weren't pushed down, i had keep asking Lisa to removed cuticles that weren't removed. Not sure what changed here. Been coming for years. Lately, the services are "less than value paid" meaning... when did a manicure with warm soapy water change to a "dry" manicure and only dipping my fingers in a bowl of cold water to wash off cuticle cream applied to my dry cuticles? That's not a professional manicure. What changed? Though I do not get the acrylic nail services, ladies HEADS UP! The first nail lady, who seems to do a majority of the acrylic nail fills, USES THE SAME SANDING TIPand SAME USED NAIL FILE ON SEVERAL CLIENTS BEFORE CHANGING TO A NEW CLEAN ONE! ??? Ummm all tools are to be sanitized or new for EACH client.....next time you come here, ASK for a new sanding tip! ASK for a new nail file! Also, thought that when a client gets a gel manicure, the curing lamp isnt supposed to burn? 2 girls in a row were complaining the curing lamps are too hot! Do you know the safe settings for those lamps? Not supposed to burn..... Lastly....I am concerned as the pedicure implements are returned to a plastic container and put back in the pedi-stand..... thought those were supposed to be heat sterilized between each client? Hung did my gel nails and an older lady did my toes. I didn't like my original toe color so she gladly redid them for me (which I always feel bad about but she was so kind and said she didn't mind). Hung was very meticulous with my nails and again, their color choices were top notch. And $40 for gel nails and regular pedi? Sold! Def not a place u go to show off to your friends but it's cheap, great colors and work. Also.. They close at 5:30pm on Saturdays but I called them at 5:45pm and she said that she'll still take me as long as I got there in 5 minutes. Girls will be girls... And let me tell you, girls love getting their nails done. I love pampering myself and getting a mani-pedi is one of my favorite things to do when a big event is coming up. I decided to get my nails done for my birthday coming up and this nail salon was located across the street to where I was staying. It was very convenient because we had to catch a flight that day. Luckily I came at a good time where there was no wait, but when I was getting my nails done, there were a lot of people who came in and had to wait. I suggest calling ahead to make sure that there is no wait. I got gel polish which costs a little more than regular nail polish. I love that there are examples of the nails so that you can see what the color will look like when it is dry. I took a few minutes to decide what color I wanted, but they were very patient with me. They did my pedicure and manicure at the same time which was a plus because I was in and out in about 40 minutes. Both the lady and gentleman who did my nails did a good job. My nails turned out exactly how I wanted it!! However I was a bit disappointed because I asked if they had decorative jewels for nail art and they said they didn't have any :( Overall I really liked this salon.
