Stopped in a Tuesday just after 11am. The truck is a little hidden under the redwoods, on the side of the parking lot nearest 116. There is a sign near the 166 on the sidewalk pointing to it, so look for that. Super friendly service. Solid but not overly complex menu options. Selection of sodas on ice. Got a carnitas burrito and the 2 taco plate - one with chicken (pollo) and one with pastor (bbq pork). The order came with chips and salsa, napkins and a fork for the taco plate, so everything you need if you are headed to a picnic. No seating nearby except sitting on the ground under the redwoods, so do have a plan of where to go (Ragle Ranch park nearby has picnic tables - at $7 for parking it's a bargain). They make everything fresh to order, so it does take a few minutes to come out, but not long. The taco plate came with lettuce, guacamole, fresh ripe tomatoes, lime slices, beans w/ a little cheese, and rice. Loved the fresh tomatoes, a nice change from the grey/orange ones that you often get in tacos. The tacos had a good amount of meat, plus fresh cilantro. For me the rice and beans were bland and generic, my least favorite part of the meal. The green and red salsas were very good, I especially liked the spicier red one. Both the chicken and pork were tasty and well cooked. I did add salsa to both to increase the moisture, but neither were dry. The fresh lime juice added a nice balance to the meat. The burrito was made correctly ( I ask for no rice) and had a good spiciness to it. The carnitas tasted good. A fine choice for grabbing something on a weekday on the way to Guerneville or other Sonoma County destinations, or to cater a local event. read more

This taco truck is the best. I live in the south bay, but I am in Sebastapol once a month. Each time I am I in Sebastopol, I must stop at this truck. My son & his friends stop by once a week. I frequent taco trucks, but hadn't tried this gem near me until today. I tried the al pastor and pollo tacos (3.50 for a little larger than typical street taco size), and both were incredibly flavorful and juicy. I find it so hard to find juicy flavorful chicken tacos, and these were great. Some of the best al pastor I've had outside of Mexico. The salsas are also amazing (esp the green) and the chips are warm thin perfection. The guy at the truck is also super nice. Will DEFINITELY be going back. I ate too fast to take a pic. Sorry! Well, I can't believe it's been just over a year since we had Mr. Diaz cater our wedding reception in West SoCo, and I am remiss in failing to provide a review until now because I feel like I've been holding out on you guys!!! He makes his own tortilla chips. Everything is fresh - guacamole, salsa all from scratch. He and crew arrived early and provided appetizers for the guests while we were taking photos post ceremony. Then, when it was time for cranking out food, everyone was blown away at how quickly they were served, and everything tasted. On top of that he's very reasonably priced! We just ran by the taco truck today in Sebastopol right across from the Presbyterian Church and the quality is absolutely still there and he's there at lunchtime Monday through Fridays but then he's ready to cater your events on the weekends and believe me you won't be sorry!!! read more

Great food and quick service! My friend hired this truck for his wife's memorial service. They offered tacos with a selection of meats, plus a salsa, guac, chip bar. We lined up and they took a few orders at a time. Called out numbers when food was ready to be picked up. They could have been better about refilling the salsa and guacamole, but they were doing their best to get tacos out quickly. read more

Such a delight to visit Gabriel and his crew at their new location on Gravenstein Hwy in Sebastopol. I have been enjoying his food for several years now and take pride in encouraging my friends and coworkers to give his food a try. Everyone has voiced nothing but praise. And rightfully so. I have only had the burritos and tacos. There's something magical about the whole beans... they're tender and so full of flavor. Today I ventured out of my usual and ordered the taco de camarones. 3 freshly grilled prawns with slaw and a delicious sauce. Fresh avocado on top. It was delicious. But next time, I'll eat it there, instead of letting it sit on my passenger seat for the 10 minute drive back to work. The salsas are fantastic... I highly recommend the green. Freshly made every day, served with freshly fried tortilla chips which are thin and very lightly salted. As you wait for your food, peek inside. It is virtually spotless. A very tight ship, er truck being run here... I'm going to have to try the nachos and a couple of other items on the menu as well. We hired Diaz Mexican Food for our 30 person home party that was a fundraiser and community builder for a local non profit. They were terrific! Im just eating the delicious leftovers now. The owners are consummate professionals in everyway. First of all, top quality, FRESH food, plenty of it and served in gleaming food platters w heating. The best chips, salsa, guacamole, meats, cheeses, limes...everything! Even high quslity plates, napkins and serving pieces. The Diazes were prompt, lovely and came the next day to pick up the serving platters, etc. The pricing was very fair and competitive, and as our expectations were exceeded, we tipped generously. The Diaz truck is right outside my work and so you can imagine I've frequented the establishment many times. I usually order a couple tacos, pollo asada and al pastor, and they are always delicious. They give you complimentary chips and salsa which is always a nice touch. I'm not a big fan of green salsa, but this truck makes some bomb green salsa! I have found the most incredible Mexican food in the most obscure places throughout the state of California and not without risk as it is always a gamble. So, when I chance upon a truly amazing experience as I've had with Diaz Catering Truck in Sebastopol, it is worthy of sharing. First, their attentive service to me as a customer was prompt and courteous. The gentlemen mentioned that they were featuring chile verde for the lunch special and so I ordered a burrito and a bottle of soda. While the food was being prepared, I popped the top and sipped on the coldest most refreshing drink I have enjoyed since my youth. I hardly had the time to savor the experience before I heard the man announce my food was ready. As he was bagging the complimentary chips and salsa, he offered me a large fire-roasted jalapeño which I accepted with great pleasure. I took a bite and was met by surprise with a salty burst of flavor. Pulling back the foil of a skillfully wrapped tortilla filled with chile verde, beans, and rice, I already knew that I had picked a winner. This food was authentically delicious as if it had come from my own Abuela's antique kitchen and, in each mouthful, I could taste its honored tradition. It was great luck for me to have found this "kitchen on wheels" so close to my home and there is no question it will be my first choice for authentic Mexican food from now on. Got a 'veggie' burrito there yesterday Dec 7, 2016. I thought 'veggie' meant is was stuffed with some vegetables (no meat). NO veggies, just beans, rice, guacamole and some sour cream. $8.75! PLus, a very small amount of chips/salsa on the side. I'm on the search for the best veggie burrito in Sonoma County. So far, OLIVER'S has the best! Yep, they will stuff grilled veggies into their 'veggie' burritos, along with beans, and rice and for a great price! Plus, Oliver's give a mountain of chips and 2 salsa containers. I recently became aware of Gabriel's taco truck...and it is pretty darn good!! I've had their al pastor, pollo asado and grilled shrimp tacos..yes!..fresh, juicy and flavorful (my favorite is the al pastor $2.25/taco). YUM. The tortillas are nice and soft and if ordering a combo plate you also get guacamole on the tacos. The folks are really sweet and their food is tasty--super glad there is a place to grab a bite. Nice, clean truck. Helpful staff. Food tasted pretty good and was well-cooked. These are standard street tacos on medium/small (not the smallest) size tortillas, meat + onions + cilantro + salsa with lime on the side. For me, there was too much meat in the tacos (I got chicken) - could have made two more tacos with all the chicken that fell out as I was eating them. Maybe for some people this would be considered a good thing. I was offered a roasted Chile on the side and accepted. It was a barely roasted jalapeño that didn't look appetizing or interesting. Would have been nice if there was a good char on it and it was a little softer. My biggest complaint here is the outlandish price! $3.25 per taco! They did come with a free tiny bag of chips and two salsas - a red one que no pica nada and a mojo de aguacate/chile/cilantro. My second biggest complaint is their short hours. They close at 2:30. We need a quick service taco truck in NW Sebastopol/Graton/Occidental area that is open from breakfast until late night in a place that is not the school grounds, similar to those near the Dollar Store in Roseland. read more
