Mushroom burger, fries, choc shake, street corn salad, original burger

Love this place! Fav fast food option, it's cool that it's a Florida chain that focuses on using local Florida ingredients too!! I definitely come here way too much but the food is always good and the milkshakes are amazinggggg !!! Really enjoy the original burger, the fries, the tater tots, the mushroom burger, they've added a street corn salad to the menu recently and that is delicious as well....The chocolate shake is my personal favorite but the coffee is a close second and vanilla is also good! Seasonal shake flavors like strawberry and key lime pie always sound so good too, though I've yet to try. Staff are always super friendly!! The building itself has such a fun, retro feel! You can either order at the walk up window and sit outside or go through the drive-thru. Seriously the perfect fast-food option at the beaches!! Highly recommend!!

Don't want a burger? Drop by and check out their new chicken options. Fast food and smoked wings don't normally go together but Dick's has them on their menu now. They are excellent! They also have a pulled chicken sandwich that I will definitely come back for

This place was awesome. Love the food. The staff were super friendly and the food was all delicious. The new smoked wings are a great seasonal item that I wish would stay. Smokey and crispy and the sauces to dip at flavorful. The burger was extra juicy and the quality of the beef didn't need any extra seasoning,

The menu offers an option for everyone, vegetarian and vegans alike. Which is so great to see in fast food settings. They offer both a house-made veggie filled patty and an impossible burger. Veggie patty did not hold its shape well, which made it difficult to eat. Overall food was fine but not worth the expensive price tag. Offers only outdoor seating without any fans which is not ideal in hot summer heat. Most tables were dirty when arriving but not occupied.

Hubby and I were in the area on a Saturday afternoon and decided to give Dick Mondell's a try after hearing good things. We got lucky and didn't have to wait in a line and also grabbed the last table on the outdoor patio. I ordered the dick junior. Hubby ordered the original big dick. We shared a large order of the natural cut fries. The burger itself was juicy and tasted very good. I liked the potato bun a lot. The dick's sauce was very yummy. The fries were hot, fresh and salty. I thought the large order was perfect for sharing. Overall, a solid burger spot near the beach.

Holy yum!! I finally made the stop in here. The french fries were perfectly crispy and the dick's sauce paired so well. The burger was the perfect size, great flavor, and came out quickly. There was a walk up order window or a drive thru, as well as plenty of outdoor seating. I will be a returning customer!

Stopped by at 6:38 on Thursday evening and all we wanted was 2 juniors, one with American cheese, one with pepper jack and an order of chips. After 2nd time clearly speaking the order, the attendant was confused! My frustrated husband asked the attendant to start over and when we got to the window she and her coworkers were having a good laugh. She looked at us with a clueless look and as if she was high. The food was great but service lacked. The lack of caring, and wanting to please customers seems to be a lost consideration. For the price of $20.90 for these you'd expect better service. Very disappointed.

A Friday night new try! I made it 40 mins before close. I thought they might be open until 10 on Fri or Sat nights but it is 9pm. The names for some of these menu items y'all; I was laughing like an immature teenager. Very entertaining. This fast food, order at the window counter was perfect timing for my busy night. I ordered the "Big Dick" Burger and small fry. Essentially a double cheeseburger. The food came out pretty fast! They take your name up front, and call your name when the food is ready. I sat outside at one of their tables on the covered patio which was very clean. The "Dicks Sauce" was perfect for the fries. I asked what it was made of and they said ketchup, pickle juice, and a few other things - good! The only reason I took off one star is for the prices, and my burger being just a smidge dry. But again; I did go during their last open hour. That's on me. I would totally try again and come earlier. I did think the burger and ingredients had great flavor, and the thick sliced pickles were very good! You get a hefty portion for the $10 burger, I couldn't finish mine. So it is pricey for fast food, but the quality is there. I shared a brief pic on social media and got some great suggestions for next time as well. Apparently DM has good desserts! I should come during the daytime to try. I love that this is a Florida based business, and I will be back to try more menu items. If you are a pickle connoisseur, this place is for you.

Great burger. As good as Five Guys or Shake Shack. Basic smash burger done right! Only complaint: straws so thin near impossible to drink the very thick shake. Need a thicker more structurally sound straw, or hand out spoons

We had a party of 3 at around 7 on a Sunday evening. This is fully counter service (and a drive-thru) and our food came out in a reasonable time. I got the junior burger and was pleasantly surprised. The toppings were fresh and the bun was soft. I wouldn't necessarily classify it as a smash burger, but I'm not sure that's what they advertise either. The hand cut fries were just okay, they were a little flimsy and didn't have great flavor. My friend got the sweet potato tots, which are definitely the superior choice of the two. My friend and boyfriend ordered milkshakes (1 vanilla and 1 coffee), both of which had good flavor; however, they provide paper straws for these as well so unless they're almost fully melted, you won't be able to drink it. I'd ask for a spoon next time to enjoy it cold.

I was a big fan of Dick Mondell's in Gainesville, so I was so excited to see that they were opening one in Jax Beach!! We came on Friday at around 6:00PM and the place was popping! No parking available in their lot, which was okay because there's plenty of free parking along Jax Beach. The line was fairly long, and there's no awning, so those waiting in line must bear the Florida sun, rain, or whatever other weather is thrown our way. However, the line moved quickly (we waited ~10 minutes) and the wait was pleasant. The menu is very straightforward. We ordered one Original Big Dick (ha...), one Dick Junior, and a large fry. We waited another ~10 minutes for our food, and decided to walk the few blocks to the beach to enjoy our food, since outdoor seating was pretty limited. The burgers were quite good. The Original Big Dick is NOTABLY larger & more filling than the Dick Junior, and I found the Junior to be the perfect size for me! The Dick's sauce tastes like it's just ketchup and mayo (which is fine because we looooove a good ketchup and mayo). The fries were just alright -- likely won't order fries again next time we go. Overall, a great beach eat and addition to the area!

Reason for visiting: Date Night (Burgers at the beach) Day & Time: 6pm on Friday Party of: 2 Reservations: no Order Type: walk up window Waiter: n/a Service: reasonably fast. If we would have been in the drive through it would have been a longer wait because of the long line. Ambiance: outside Food Order: -Drink: ginger half and half- pretty good -Entree: the original big dick with cheese and bacon and fries Extras: cookie sandwich (blue bell sandwich) Conclusion: As you can see in the photos the restaurant is pretty popular. I recommend parking and going to the window if the drive thru is outside the parking lot. The burger was average but fresh. It could have been on a better bun in my opinion. The fries were salty and kinda different from most fresh cut fries I have had. The more the cooled off the worse they got so eat them hot. Lastly the biggest disappointment was finding out the ice cream cookie sandwich was a blue bell ice cream sandwich. We live 30 minutes away and I would say I would drive that far again for this burger but it is a nice stop if your in the mood for a burger and you want to take it to the beach to eat. #datenight

Freaking delicious burgers with a memorable sauce! Good quality ingredients on every item down to the fresh pickles. Loss of a star for feeling nickel & dimed on adding cheese or getting a side of Dick's sauce. I mean, it's WORTH IT!

You can also make any of the burgers using Beyond Meat! We ordered: +the Mercury - made with 2 patties of grass-fed halal beef, yellow American cheese, caramelized onions, crunchy potatoes, Galaxy sauce, Rocket Sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions on a potato bun +Cosmic Fries - shoestring fries with house seasoning and Parmesan, served with a side of Cosmic sauce The burgers were described as 'smashburgers', so the patties were cooked all the way through (which I prefer!); the burger itself was actually okay, but there was something in there that made it taste slightly off - either it was the caramelized onions, the Galaxy sauce, or the Rocket sauce, there was something that was a bit too sugary/sweet; I think without this element, the burger would have been better! Maybe I'd ask for the sauces to be served on the side. The fries were okay - they did fill the styrofoam box to the brim and was generous in serving two cups of the Cosmic sauce; I think these could have been dropped fresh, as when we received them, they seemed as if they were prepared in advance and was sitting for a bit. Service was super friendly and welcoming! It's located off of Zetts, just down from Touchless Car Wash; note that this area can get jampacked and backed up on the weekends where everyone is trying to get their vehicle washed! I ordered online for takeout and got the Mercury combo (Mercury burger & cosmic fries) for 15$ and the Venus wings for 135. The mercury burger was by far my favorite item I had but i was expecting that it would be a little bigger with the price tag but I ain't mad at it, it was still a great burger nonetheless. The cosmic fries were below average and that could stem from the way the fries are made (shoestring style) but even then the seasoning on it was nothing special. The cosmic fries came with a cosmic sauce that was great and was a perfect addition to the burger. The Venus wings were solic with pretty good texture but ridiculously overpriced with a price tag of 13$ for 5 wings which is a scam, if you charging 15$ for wings they gotta be the best wings ever (they weren't). The Buffalo sauce that comes with the wings was definitely hot and the bba and ranch were decent. All in all, it's a solid spot that ! could see myself coming back to for their Mercury burger.

The parking lot was empty and the bar patrons scarce and scattered among the very large bar. We were followed in by a single guy who sat 3 bar seats from us. There sat and sat and sat and.. oh don't worry but there is a bartender but she is busy very busy .. leaning over the bar chatting with her friends and ignoring the other side of the bar. After about 10+ minutes I decided to interrupt "Amy". (aka "The Bartender") As I was leaving to interrupt Amy the single guy ask " is there anyone that works here? Amy's response I didn't see you (snotty). I did advise her it was a good idea to work the bar. Service from Amy to myself and the show bake guy continued to be sparse. But we did get food. I ordered their zucchini fries which is always served with a delicious dipping sauce. Mine came with none. I had eaten half my burger and the single gut was well into his meal before Amy approached us. I needed sauce and he needed Ranch. Oh my goodness what an imposition. We did get our request as our empty beer glasses sat pushed forward. Finally another beer. Honestly I was so excited to find that a new partnership had reinvented Graffiti. I did meet the new owner early on. It is apparent that the service and attitude has slipped back to their old ways. I hope Amy caught up with all her friends as my zucchini fries and the single guys fries grew cold. Cheers to the chefs the burgers were great! Service hold a great weight on my stars. Another plus was that our server was very friendly and helpful, although he seemed to be having to cover for much of the rest of the staff. At a glance, the restaurant didn't seem understaffed, but they struggled to keep up even when multiple tables had emptied out. The bar and kitchen were struggling, too -- we had multiple issues with wrong items being served, and it took a surprisingly long time to get our food (even with giving a lot of grace for us being a party of 10). Dinner was 2.5 hours without dessert (with the exception of the small, complementary dessert they brought the birthday celebrant). The food was fine but nothing spectacular, and it felt overpriced. I ordered a cup of tomato bisque, which was decent, and a trio of sides for my main course: the Boursin orzo, Brussels sprouts, and pecan green beans. The orzo was pretty tasty, and the Brussels sprouts were quite nice with dried cherries mixed in. Both leaned a bit too salty but not terribly so. The green beans were a total miss: no flavor and arrived room temperature. The server ensured I wasn't charged for them. To drink, I ordered an ube piña colada (which was not strong but was tasty) and a glass of house white. My total for soup, two sides, one cocktail, and one glass of wine was nearly $80 with the 20% automatic large party gratuity included. I don't mind the tip inclusion, but I feel like I paid a hefty amount for food that didn't match the price tag. I'll also note that they have introduced a surcharge for paying by credit card. I really hope they get things sorted out; it sounded like a lot of new staff in place which hopefully means higher aspirations rather than high turnover. It's a beautiful spot.

It's easy to miss, tucked away next to the dispensary just before you get there. (And yes, the maps may tell you otherwise.) But sometimes the places that take a little searching are the ones worth remembering. I ordered the fried grit cakes--two generous, golden cakes--topped with shrimp and Tasso gravy. Eight perfectly cooked shrimp, which, if you know anything about eating seafood at the beach, is no small accomplishment. Shrimp can go from tender to rubber in the blink of an eye. These were just right. But the gravy... That was the star. Savory. Creamy. Deep with flavor. It didn't simply sit on top of the grit cakes; it brought the whole dish together, elevating every bite. And I was grateful for the spoon they served with it, because leaving even a drop of that gravy behind would have felt like a waste. There are meals you eat because you're hungry. And then there are meals you remember because, for a little while, everything on the plate just made sense. This was one of those meals. I'll definitely be back.

RP's delivered. The short stack had crisp edges, a tender middle, and pockets of warm, sweet blueberries throughout. Nothing complicated, just a very good pancake. My wife ordered the showstopper, two fried grit cakes topped with sautéed shrimp, Parmesan, and Tasso ham gravy. The spoon they provide is not decorative. You are going to need it. The gravy was deep and savory with just enough heat, with bits of Tasso ham mingling with perfectly cooked shrimp. The grit cakes brought a crisp exterior and creamy center. Get a little grit cake, some gravy, and a shrimp on the same spoon and you have one of those bites that makes you stop talking for a second. RP's feels like the kind of place beach locals know about and visitors eventually discover. My first visit was for brunch, but if lunch and dinner are this good, I suspect this won't be my last. A good neighborhood brunch spot is worth remembering. I'm glad RP's finally made it onto my list.

The service was great, but the food was not. The theme was "overcooking" the night we were there, and everything was overcooked and dry. My son ordered a medium-rare burger that was well done. The garlic burger lacked any flavor of garlic. The chicken wings lacked any flavor, and were so overcooked that we left them behind. The salad looked as if the kitchen simply opened a bag of pre-mixed salad and dumped it into a dish. The shrimp were clearly pre-frozen, and lacked flavor (Mayport shrimp are right up the road, hello??). The salad lacked dressing, but the served offered additional teriyaki sauce (which is not salad dressing, but did offer some flavor). This is sad renovation to a great burger place. The bar still has many beers on tap, so there is some hope.

They have good bar food like juicy burgers, chicken wings, etc and a full bar that makes you feel satisfied. Good food for sure! There is a large free parking lot available for customers. I also loved the graffiti on the walls. We ordered chicken wings to go and a tray of some of the best pretzels and sauce I've ever tasted! Yummy! Service was friendly and helpful. We plan to go back next trip to Jacksonville Beach!
