You may be wondering is this a restaurant review or a fantasy movie review; and let me tell you it's both. There is clearly a wizard at work here and his name isn't Gandalf. His name is Korey and is the magical owner of the best burger place I've ever been to. Why you may ask? Like all wizards it's not just one spell that makes magic happen but rather a compilation of spells that come together to deliver a fantastically Epik experience. Let's start with the side. Yes you heard me right I'm beginning to talk about food beginning with the accompaniment. In my case I had the pleasure of being accompanied both by my wife AND the most large, crunchy yet soft onion rings I've ever encountered. Not only were they fried to perfection but they were large enough to feed a family..except I'm slightly overweight and therefore attempted to tackle it on my own. Not only was this side spell so delicious, like any great Epik wizard, they don't tell you on the menu the divine size and quality you're about to experience. Oh and one other thing...don't you hate when the onion ring has these strings in it that you either have to pull out your mouth or swallow and hope they don't get stuck in your trachea? Well fear not my fellow yelpers, those don't exist here in Epik land. Ok so what about the burger? Well, this is where I ascended to a new level of being spellbound. I ordered a medium Epikurean burger which had ingredients from lands far and wide away. What was in my burger...Maytag Bleu Cheese-Truffle Mousse, Pancetta (italian bacon), Mushrooms, Housemade Blackberry-Beef Demi Glace, Balsamic Aioli, Scallions, Parmesan Cheese. While the ingredients were 5 star don't let the spell distract you from the main event, the meat. This is no ordinary meat and due to my poor eating habits I typically don't chew well. In this occasion, I chewed no more than 3 times and the meat just melted into my saliva glands. What kind of wizardry is this?! Amazing... We have spent a long time talking about the various food elements but it's time to get to the potion..1/2 sweet & 1/2 unsweetened tea. Pretty normal right? Nope...this struck the perfect PH balance that I had to guess which one I was drinking at any occasion. This potion is one of a kind. It's not every day one gets to meet the grand wizard himself, but I did at around 8pm on a Saturday. He stopped by the table to inquire on the outcome of his spells. Not in an arrogant way but in a curious and genuine wizardry way you'd expect from a man who is buried in reading concoction making books and testing out his creations on his guests. In all seriousness I don't know why this place is rated a 3.8 on Yelp. In fact it's an absolute shock to me almost as if these patrons are in another dimension. 5 stars because although it was a bit slow and expensive BUT it was friendly and good. I don't know that I would go out of my way to eat here mainly because of the price but I would definitely eat here again if I'm near it. The Madagascar vanilla shake is quite possibly one of the top 5 shakes I've had in my life!! The veggie burger was good, not great but good. A little mushy. I've made a variety of veggie burgers in my life and yeah it's hard for them to not turn out mushy. The traditional 1/3 pound cheeseburger was delicious!! Cooked just as I ordered and wasn't dried out. The fries are good. For me personally, I prefer hand cut fries but that's just me. They were still good. Flavored perfectly, not overly salty and definitely not greasy. The service was amazing!!! Beautiful interior. A cute little high top bar in front of televisions to sit at and if you don't like that you can sit in a booth or a table. Their menu offers a lot of variety and even treats for your dog. We had one drink, one order of fries (no sauce just fries), one beef cheeseburger and one veggie burger along with one milkshake. Our order was $41.00. We had high hopes when we walked in and were so disappointed by the menu that we actually left and did not order anything. Part of the reason was the fact that they took an old Burger King and did not make any attempt to creat a new vibe. The menu leaves a lot to be desired and the staff needs some training on how to welcome guest to improve the first impressions. Location: Along CR210 in former Burger King bldg. Both the egress and ingress a bit awkward - but plenty of parking. Inside remodel is nice, but music is too loud for daytime (lunchtime) enjoyment. Self-serve kiosk is cumbersome -- and time consuming. Way too many SKU's to make it a "quick serve restaurant". Counter attendants not attentive. Expensive ... two old-school build it yourself burgers, two sides and two sodas $47. Burgers had good flavor - but 1/3 lb lost on the bun. Very very sloppy build-out -- lettuce everywhere in the basket; tomato way too thick a slice to eat and forgot to add my bacon to my BLT burger ... had to go ask for it! Onion rings huge - but greasy. Fries were ok. Pepsi products. Fountain behind counter. Very very slow. This is second location and they'll probably have to make some adjustments to "fit" the area. Cool place mostly self serve menus. A lot of questions to answer to get a burger. Did I mention they're like $12+ burgers! They're different and delicious. So when you're craving a high end burger this is the spot to come. The restaurant was somewhat crowded playing top 30 hits. It was a bit noisy as folks are trying to talk over the music. I haven't been there yet but my husband loves their carryout. My first burger was very small but the sweet potato fries were amazing. Didn't get a picture. The second and third pick up were good for the chicken burger. I didn't order a side but he allowed me one onion ring. Thick, crunchy and hot! Solid option for burgers; has some unique flavors/topping choices if you're willing to pay $15+ a burger. Tried the Red Dragon burger and the limited time Dublin lamb burger. Ordered online - pickup through drive thru service was convenient. Lamb burger (added mushrooms and jalapeños) was exceptional, shame it's a limited time offering. The Red Dragon burger was fine. Willing to go back and try other options based on this experience. If you're looking for something different, Epik is worth a try. If you just want a burger, Five Guys is (somehow) less expensive and better. read more

So we decided to finally try this place that emerged from a disappointing chain fast food place,which closed months ago. Being on a main road, would bring great visibility and foot traffic to this place. The menu was extensive and very layered, but using a highly tech touchscreen to order takes the place for human error as you order precisely what you want. The service was pretty good considering it's bring your food to the table by friendly staff. The portions were adequate and didn't leave us looking for more. The food was fresh from what I could tell and seemed like they use organic produce as well as ingredients. Now, things I would think could be better? My wife ordered the cheeseburger salad, considering we dined in, we found it odd they serve it in a to go plastic container instead of a real plate or bowl, as well as cheap utensils instead of silverware. We understand this isn't fine dining, but my girls and I had ordered their burgers which came in stainless steel baskets which would be on par with chique restaurants. They did offer some classy beverages and desserts, but we stuck with fountain drinks. Although my wife upgraded to a classic cream soda. Overall everything presented well and tasted great. The decor was good for the place and felt upscale vs you're typical fast food dining room. Overall I would recommend this place, but with a caveat, the prices were pretty expensive and they seem to get you by keeping items separately. Mainly your entrées, sides and drinks are all independent and depending on your order, very customized for additional cost. So this might be surprising for a family of four or more. If you're looking for a good place to dine on a budget, this might not be for you. read more

The food was good, although I thought I was getting a lettuce wrap. It wasn't wrapped and it was a mess to eat. It was a bit cumbersome and irritating to order on their computers and it asks you a ton of questions for up charges. The place looks like a burger joint but they offer beer and wine which is different. Our tab was damn near $40 for a burger and bottled water... nothing else. A few things... 1. The onion rings were so good but after one I felt like I was eating grease. It was so over saturated with grease it was gross. I was sick for a week after eating here which is a shame but I know the onion rings wreaked havoc on me. My sister had the same reaction to the heavy greased food. Please think about using less breading on the onion rings. 2. The GF burger was good!! Overall, because I endured a week of stomach issues I won't be back. We were highly impressed with the variety of options and some extremely unique burgers. Watch your pricing it can add up quickly if you keep selecting additional options. Had a very nice meal at this spot. The burgers were hearty and juicy. The fries with gravy were really good as well. The onion rings could've been crispier, but they weren't bad. The atmosphere here is nothing too amazing but it was nice looking and clean. The staff I have to say were very friendly and pleasant. The only drawback is that they can be a little expensive. I had the make your own 1/3 lb hamburger cooked medium. It was perfect and I could tell the beef was very fresh. Hubby had the peanut butter hamburger cooked medium rare. He said his was perfect as well. We shared an order of fries, cooked perfectly. Not over cooked or under cooked. The two young ladies who waited on us were very friendly and helpful. 2nd time to eat here, and like last time, the burgers are excellent! A wide variety of unique burgers (they have chicken burgers, too). The menu has so many choices. What I love is that they serve beer and wine. It's the only casual food place that offers this and it's a definite plus. So nice to have a burger place offering SOOO many gluten free options in the area. The poutine was delicious and a very good portion. My daughter really enjoyed the Dijon aioli with her fries and I enjoyed the spice of the house sauce. We also tried the vegan and dairy free strawberry shake which was a perfect pair to our gluten free burger. Thanks Epik Burger for being very considerate to those with allergies and sensitivities. It makes eating out less stressful! Side notes: I was also so impressed with how many options there were for vegan, vegetarian, and also pescatarian. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Somehow the burger managed to be worse than the Burger King that used to be here. The patty was dry and lacked any real flavor, and the price didn't come close to matching the quality. To make it worse, I paid an extra $1.50 for an egg that was completely missing from the order. For the price, I expected at least a juicy burger and the add-ons I paid for. Instead, I left disappointed and still a little hungry. Definitely won't be back. The staff is very friendly here and will to help explain any questions you have on the menu. We had a great time dining in. The restaurant was beautiful with many different seating areas - we chose to sit on the screened in patio which had a chandelier there. So cool! The food was absolutely delicious we got 2 of their specialty burgers. Ate them too fast before we got a pic. Everything meshed so well together. We had a great experience here! The burgers were excellent, my boys each ordered the 1 lb Boss Burger and, shockingly, they were actually full afterward. My husband and I split the Epikurean, and it was flavorful and delicious. The onion rings were huge and crispy. The shoestring fries had good flavor, though I personally prefer a thicker fry. There's a ton of variety with plenty of options and ways to customize, whether you want beef, chicken, salmon, or veggie burgers. Don't be tricked by kiosks on the countertop, the staff of Epik are there to help you. I made a mistake in my order on the kiosk, and they brought me what I ordered, which was something that I would've never ordered intentionally. When I complained it became clear the fault was my own, they still took ownership of the problem and made it a great experience. It was the most flavorful burger I've had in many years. Spent almost $100 on dry, unseasoned burgers. The boss burger had a cheese sauce and a boss sauce and it was dry. They don't put enough sauce or cheese sauce on the burger. I have about a table spoon id sauce. Ordered for medium and received well done. They bring out your drinks and you have to put on your own tops. read more

Inside seems clean and they did a good job of remodeling the building. I agree with the first review that the kiosks are cumbersome to use (4 of them and you'll be waiting awhile if they are all in use...no human option). For what feels like fast food, you'll notice quickly that your bill is going to add up as the options are expensive. Service is poor. The employees almost walk around with blinders on and can only magically see you when delivering food otherwise you will be completely ignored. I saw one customer trying several times with different employees trying to get a request answered. I also watched another customer find cleaning supplies and clean a dirty table so they could sit down somewhere. While I can give some sympathy as this place is recently opened (e.g. for the table), attitude towards customers is not based on when the doors opened. Food is just ok. The fries are absolutely nothing special. The beef for the burger is nothing special...no seasoning or flavor. The only way to make this burger something better is to add expensive options. Of course, you don't know what options to add as the kiosk does not provide descriptions of the options so you can then just pick mystery cheese/sauce/other. You will nearly immediately get your drinks. About 20 minutes later you'll get your fries and then another 15 minutes later your burgers will come out. If you drink your beverage then good luck to you...the refills are behind the counter and the staff have a magic spell that prevents them from seeing customers (of course except to deliver your food). read more

Great idea, mediocre food, bad management and service. We were excited to have new burger place to try right near our home. Unfortunately the experience didn't live up to expectations. Ordered to go through kiosk machine which is super clunky and slow since there are way too many options for extras to consider. Girl standing behind counter was no help. The hot food came out quickly but then I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to make the shakes so everything was cold when I got home (3 min since the restaurant is right outside our neighborhood guard gate). My specialty seasonal burger which was supposed to be medium rare, was burnt to a crisp and looked like it came from the gas station. Wife was fine with her $20 salad with burger patty on top. The shakes we ordered were pretty good Overall I chalk this up to bad management and poorly trained staff.
