Both the food and ambiance were fun to watch a hockey game. The bar turned it to the Canucks despite us being out of towners!

Used to be a good place not any longer apparently. Came in 3/29/23 at 1505 and sat for 20 min waiting for the moronic women server to take or order but was to busy doing crossword puzzles with her buddies. If your not a regular you don't count. Guy came in and got two beers while we still waited to be helped. She walked right next to us and asked a regular the answer to a crossword puzzle than walked back and leans on the counter and continued the game. Go the Handlebar if you want good service. I know you only get $2.00 an hour but that means you make the money up in tips and you can't get tips if you don't help the customers. Look at a bar that actually serves us

Definitely a better weekday spot as they can't really handle being a capacity. But overall fair prices and decent vibes.

Incredible staff and friendly vibe. A classic neighborhood corner watering hole with a cool patio on the side.

There are steps to go upstairs and to enjoy the covered outdoor atmosphere elements. We decided the second floor outdoor. Our bar tender upstairs was also our food server. He gave us the rundown of the menu. He was very polite and accommodating. We had the Fish and Chips, French Dip Sandwich, and the Angus Corned Beef Rueben Sandwich. We shared a taste of our plates just to try and I got to say this is an easy review. All three plates had a unique taste of their own and all were very flavorful, fresh, and seasoned perfectly. This is a must stop for sure. I would like to try different menu items on my next visit.

For those familiar with the PNW chain, Squatters feels like the Utah equivalent of McMenamins, in a…read morecertain way: certainly not in quirkiness, style or ambiance (of which they could not be further apart), but in their ubiquity - it seems like they're everywhere, even though there are only four(?) of them. We visited at least two, during our four days in SLC. This one was the first: a cathedral-style brewpub with a sports bar aesthetic, with decent food, decent drinks, decent service, and decent prices. Everything was decent. You're not likely to be disappointed by anything you order, but you're not likely to be blown away by anything, either (another thing Squatters has in common with McMenamins, I'd say). During our second visit (to another location, but I'm sure the same rule applies), our party was only interested in ordering drinks (one per person, mind you), but we were informed that we *had* to order some sort of food to accompany them (I'm sure this is more of a Utah thing, rather than a Squatter's thing, but still annoying), so bear that in mind if you're looking for a place to just chill with a beverage and watch a game. Still, the vibe here is lively and friendly; assuming your server is as well, which was a coin flip, in our experience. For a fast, casual chain of brewpubs, Squatters has a lot going for it, and I can see why they are popular, as clearly as I can see ways in which they can improve. A little more focus, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence, and Squatters could absolutely dominate in SLC, and beyond.

She was extremely short and seemed irritated every time she spoke to us, making us feel like we were bothering her throughout our entire visit. We ordered two beers, which were warm, and the service overall was absolutely terrible. Our bill came to $10.87, which I paid in full. Given the experience, I chose not to leave a tip and proceeded to leave. What happened next honestly left me shocked. Madeline followed us out the door and confronted us about not leaving a tip, asking why we didn't tip and whether we were dissatisfied with the service. I was completely caught off guard and felt incredibly uncomfortable and attacked by the interaction, especially after already feeling like she had been rude and unwelcoming to us the entire time. I have never had a server follow me out of an establishment to question me about a tip. It was extremely inappropriate and made an already unpleasant experience even worse. I still can't believe this happened and will never return to this establishment. There are plenty of places where you can enjoy a drink and feel welcomed, and unfortunately, this was not one of them.
