Located on the 2nd floor of the new Asher Adams Hotel in Union Pacific building, this is a sophisticated place for drinks and a few small apps. The hotel elevator and the hallway leading to this beautiful space is a bit non descript and leaves you feeling like you're on your way to a janitor's closet, but once inside its a beautiful, dark, moody, surprise with open views of the great historic hall down below. We saw some familiar faces from Urban Hill running Asher Adams two bars. Service was good but new hires are still getting settled in their routines and interactions. Drinks were perfect and we enjoyed the elote popcorn (tajin salt, chili oil, pecorino cheese) and some roasted nuts. Great place to meet up and catch up with friends.

This place is a true hidden gem. I absolutely loved it. I randomly discovered this bar while walking around Union Square, and the atmosphere completely blew me away--it's beautiful, stylish, and has an amazing vibe. If you're into Instagram-worthy spots, this place is a must. The cocktails were great, and it's the perfect spot for a date. I already want to go back and make this a regular place. It's pretty well hidden and not the easiest to find, but that just makes it even more special.

Trivia: Pappy is special because of its wheat and extended aging process and limited selection…read more What is Pappy? At Whiskey Street, I had two issues: I ordered a salad and it never arrived. My wagyu steak came out and I was irritated that the salad hadn't come first. But then the salad didn't come at all. Bummer. And the steak was questions all around. First they didn't know what cut of steak it was. "It's Wagyu" they said, as if all that mattered was where it came from. And just to make sure I wasn't an idiot, I looked up to make sure that Wagyu, like other beef, had various cuts. And the meal was rather salty. And the steak was far closer to rare than medium. And it was served au poivre style, which I would have like to have known. Service was excellent. The Scottish Old-Fashioned excellent. The libation selection is unparalleled. The bar seats have a weird spring to backing so it's more like sitting on a stool with a slight back brace.

My first thought in walking in was yay! It has such great personality, even a bartender with a handle mustache! Quite on a mid Saturday afternoon. We started brunch with drinks - Irish coffee for my friend which was enjoyable and a hot toddy for me which was quite citrusy. Next came our Benedicts. No betrayal here (sorry I know, cheesy!). What makes a good Benedict is the sauce and this one didn't disappoint. Usually I ask that the sauce be on the side but this time I forgot and trust me, that was ok. One of the best I've had that even made a great compliment to the very tasty potatoes. Don't worry, the potatoes were great on their own! Nice touch of flavor, soft inside and crisp outside. Perfect amount - barely too much that made up for two meals!

I'm a die-hard cheese hater, so for a restaurant to convince me otherwise is breaking news. I enjoyed the strawberry and halloumi salad-cautiously. I asked for the halloumi on the side, just in case it didn't land right. Then, I tentatively took a bite. Whatever magic they sprinkle on that is Heavenly, and I quite enjoyed it. The vibe here is upscale but energetic (read: loud.) It's not a quiet dining experience; this is the place you come to celebrate a promotion at work with your friends or a milestone birthday. The group of folks next to us was definitely having a good time. If you're concerned about noise levels, let the host know so you can be seated a little further away from the excitement. As others have said, it's a 21+ place, prepare to show your ID at the door. They have an expansive drink menu and can even whip something up for you that isn't on the menu. My Vesper was terrific. Watch out, I may come back and try even more cheese dishes. Maybe.

Heirloom 24 cocktail Simply delicious. Perfectly balanced. Nothing like a Bloody Mary, for those who may be thinking that way.
