Melissa was very informative about meals and what might work for us, as it was our first time there.Melissa was very friendly and helpful. the meats were amazing the chicken was moist and the brisket was tender and easily shredded. Sides were great. We got potato salad and Mac& cheese. Spent a lotta time in Texas and this was authentic. We were traveling thru, but I can guarantee we will stop again when in the area. read more

Honestly worst experience I have ever had was today. Guy is touching every surface in the store with his gloves and serving food. Lady does not know how to work the register and had us standing for 15 minutes trying to checkout, to the point when we sat down with our $50 plates of food they were ice cold. This women grabs Mac n cheese in a bag from a refrigerator and puts it into her holding unit and serves it to us Ice cold. My whole plate has sat here for 10 minutes untouched. read more

Wow. How horrible. We spent $86.00 for a family of 5 tonight. Food = About as cold as my freezer at home. No flavor. The meat was freezing. My daughter kept asking why it was so cold and why it lacked flavor. Bad, bad, bad. I'm very disappointed. This could have been a great dinner spot for my family and I. Instead, I doubt we ever come back. I like my food where it's warm. I don't like my food freezing cold. Just bizarre to think that's acceptable to serve up. read more

Take a look at this pic. That little bit of food cost me $19.42 (with a $1.00 tip added). I got the 3 rib combo which came with one side. The 3 little ribs were good but I left super hungry and now I am heading to Arby's to get MORE food after spending almost $20. This business model cannot be sustainable. People need to get a reasonable portion for that much money. I am aware there is a process and some expense to making bbq but this was a rediculously small portion. I am still taken aback by how much I just spent. A franchise needs to do better. I would expect a tall beer and a piece of bbq chicken added for that price. Decent BBQ spot. Brisket was tasty, a little on the fatty side and a SMALL portion in the 2 meat meal but the jalapeño cheddar sausage made up for it. Mac & cheese is ok, tastes close to boxed made at home. Baked beans were tasty, the loaded baked potato casserole was a different approach to potatoes and OK. Lots of sauce flavors to choose and I really liked the sweet BBQ and Carolina. My FAVORITE part of the meal was the pecan pie. Staff was AWESOME! They were welcoming, very friendly and helpful to explain that you read the menu backwards. It is a somewhat new store so it was clean, decor is unremarkable. It is a little difficult to find the first time, HIDDEN on backside of a new plaza in front of Cabela's. I found cost to be a little PRICEY and the food overall to be solidly edible. Not many BBQ restaurant choices in the area, I will likely be back on occasion. read more

I really love Dickie's food and am glad there is now a local one. My favorite is the pulled pork and macaroni and cheese so I chose the brisket Mac stack. It's a little pricy but very filling. There is other meats also but I never tried any of them. Other patrons had sandwiches and they looked delicious also. This location is not visible from the road. It is in a smaller building behind the Walgreens. There is a sign that has the name on it and if you know the classic yellow of this business, it sticks out. read more

We stopped here after a trip to Cabellas - my review is based on this being pretty much a fast service place. That said it was tasty. Was it the best BBQ we've ever had? No. Was it a really nice meal - yes and the price was very reasonable. We had the 2 meat plate with ribs and brisket. The manager said they didn't have wings right now because the supplier was unable to get wings that were worth the money. Ribs were 3.5/5 brisket 3/5 as a tad dry but we liked the sweet BBQ sauce with it. I had the Old School Plate with brisket and kielbasa - I gave the sausage 4.5/5. I upgraded to the sweet cornbread muffin and it was delish and moist. Our sides: fried okra 4/5, onion straws 5/5, Mac & Cheese 4/5. Staff 5/5!! Very nice and helpful. As we dined in the manager and one other asked how our meal was. We'd come here again if we are in the area and explore other menu items. read more

Dickey's was quite an exciting new company to see open up in the small village of Dundee. Good BBQ is hard to find and usually priced to match. Dickey's has the high pricing but the quality is unfortunate. Their service level could use a lot of work as well. They steer people to the app but most of the employees don't understand how it works and can't troubleshoot it. There are times in-stock items were unavailable on the app, or even worse, out-of-stock items were available. The last time I went in I was told chicken was out of stock but that I could wait for it or swap it with other meats (which I was not interested in but sadly already paid on the app so a refund wasn't an option). I came back after about 40 minutes and it still wasn't ready. I waited and waited.... and waited... Finally, when it was ready, I get out to my car and they forgot some of our sides. I had to go back in for what I recall as the 3rd or 4th time for the same order. They gave me 3 of these "free pork sandwich" coupons, but I only liked the chicken. I wouldn't ever use a pork sandwich coupon. Offering a coupon for something as restrictive as a pork sandwich is an empty gesture at best. The worst part of that experience was getting home to eat it. Best way to describe it is to say that you could taste that it was rushed. Right down to the texture of the meat. I'd have rather had a refund right away than have waited over an hour for something we ultimately ended up trashing. read more

Went here after they opened and my boyfriend had the 3 meat plate. He said he loved the jalapeño cheddar kielbasa. I personally love the baked potato casserole. I am a huge mac n cheese person and found it was a little better than KFC's Mac n cheese so was disappointed in that. A little pricey for the portions on the meat plate in my opinion and the set up of how to order is kind of a pain in the butt. I ordered pickup for my family of 3 the other day. It struck me as odd I couldn't smell the aroma of BBQ when I entered the building. It is clean and new on the inside. I was about 5 minutes early for my pickup time, but did end up waiting another 10 past. My food was cold. The didn't give me the sauces I requested, no extra pickles as requested. I got the 2 meat platter and my brisket was essentially a piece of fat with some meat on it, with a smaller slice of meat on top to hide it. The staff was friendly. I am pretty disappointed overall. BBQ is an expensive meal, and I didn't come close to getting the value I expected. I realize that the business is new, however it will be a long while before I consider trying this again. read more

I welcome Dickey's BBQ to Dundee, Michigan. I never dined at one until they opened here. The owners and staff are very nice and aim to please. I have already made 21 visits since they opened. The food is good and they have a huge menu to choose from. If you download their app on your phone, free food and discounts can add up fast. Just scan your receipt in the app and start accumulating savings. I hope people with negative comments and reviews will please be fair to this business. They are new and have kinks to work out just like any other restaurant. If you have complaints about the prices or portions, etc, you should contact the Dickey's Home Office. It is their rules they have to follow. It's not fair to bash the owners and this restaurant location. I don't have any complaints about my food or service.
