Came here yesterday for lunch because a few weeks ago I had their Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and it was so YUM! That I have been thinking about it all week! So I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with onion rings and a side of their ranch and their onion dip sauce. The sandwich was HUGE very lightly battered and tasty. I only finished half of it bc it was a really generous portion. They do not carry Wood Chuck or Angry Orchard, so I was recommended to try their Sangria Cider and it was good, but after I had it it was a bit sweet so I changed to a blue moon. My husband had the Reuben sandwich and tater tots and he was happy with his meal he finished it all. Looking forward to having another one soon! read more

I had only gotten take out here before yesterday. It was a great spot to go for Mother's Day, especially around 2pm, after the rush. There's a bar with a modern, rustic feeling dining area which is perfect for all types of people. They have seating for most group sizes too. I was a little disappointed by our server as she seemed stressed and preoccupied. Not very personable. I can't even remember her name. Although, she was very prompt, knowledgeable, and made no mistakes. The rest of the staff was awesome and super helpful. Our food came out in a timely fashion with our sides/ appetizers coming out a good amount before our entrees. I always get the blackbird sandwich without cheese but it just wasn't the same as a remember it. The sweet potato fries are phenomenal though, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This past weekend my father who is in his 90's wanted Danley's rib eye steak, fully loaded baked potatoe and a side of blue ranch dressing. Also he requested a large order of their famous delicious best onion rings in the area. I placed order over the phone arrived at their back door fur pick up and they had it all ready for me. I am in town for some dog/housesitting and met my sister for a 6p dinner on a Wednesday. Despite a short 10-15 min wait, we were sat in a comfy booth, and nearly immediately greeted by our server. Drinks came out fast from the bar but water was forgotten and had to ask for that again. Service was on top of things with other employees chipping in to help like dropping plates off from the kitchen. Would definitely come back to try their VERY varied menu! Blake's Donut Cider - 10/10 Ate the bruschetta for appetizer - 10/10. Salads - 6/10 (Bottom was very watery, which diluted the dressing, and made it bland tasting. Good portion.) Danley's is what I would consider a slightly more upscale family dining establishment. I've been here several times and enjoyed everything I've tried. The broasted chicken is excellent and they give you 4 big pieces. I recently tried the portobello ravioli tossed in a garlic cream sauce and topped with salmon and asparagus. Very flavorful and the salmon was cooked just right. They have a wide variety of craft beers many of them local and full bar menu. Every time I've been here the service has been friendly, fast, and efficient. There's nothing negative I can think of. Danley's is consistently good. read more

We had a large party with us on this evening. They sat us outside so we could be sat sooner. The ambiance was nice. They had nice coverings and lights. The tables were like large picnic tables. Not real comfortable on the back but it went with the theme I guess. The service was just ok. Our servile was nice, when she was there. I don't know ignites because we were outside or what but the service was less than attentive. The food was ok for bar type food. My chicken tenders were good. A family member ordered steak as medium rare and it came out almost well done. We have been here many times and had not experienced service or food like we did this time. We will continue to come back, just not in a large group setting and not outside. read more

The service is ALWAYS GREAT! I have my favorites, the chicken bowl with corn, gravy,and mashed potatoes. Their fried chicken dinners are awesome too. Peach cobbler for dessert w/ice cream is a MUST! We had a lunch there with my family on Sunday. We came in as soon as they opened at 11 am and within the hour of opening, the restaurant was filled up with customers quickly. I think the price was good. And foods were not too greasy and generous portions size. Interior was clean and friendly customer service. This place is truly a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere! The decor is fun and welcoming- we loved the beer taps as decorations from the ceiling. It was loaded when we came so we ate at the bar and the service was great! I ordered the grilled Cajun chicken sandwich and a cup of French onion soup. Both were amazing! I was impressed with their ability to serve a cup of French onion soup as most places the only option is a bowl. It was the perfect balance of onions to broth to croutons to cheese. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the Cajun seasoning was tasty! My husband ordered the black and bleu burger and said it was cooked well and tasted really good. Really wish I could give them 3 1/2 stars. Showed up at 10:50 Sunday to join the line for the 11:00 opening. We were seated quickly and the service was very good. Two of the group ordered salmon and both were happy with the selection. I got the broasted chicken which I've had before and found it excellent. This time it was WAY overdone and very dry. I suspect it was prepared in advance for the lunch rush and sat too long. Since this was once I'll give them a pass with the hope it will be better next time. Consistency matters. read more

I was out here to grab a friend as we were headed out to see Clutch!! We knew we had to grab a bite, which we usually do before we leave his house, thanks to his amazing wife. He said we needed to head out because if we wait any longer, we won't get in and have to wait forever. I thought, out here. . .away from most things? Buy he was right, we got here and very shortly thereafter, there were people sitting outside and inside waiting. . . And for good reason, I might add. I had avoided coming here as my memory of it was back in the day when it was the Country House and seemed to be an aging, out dated restaurant only my parents would go to. However, a friend suggested we go and I figured I'd give them a chance. I was beyond pleasantly surprised. They have a good number of booths and tables, and seemed pretty busy. It is a cozy atmosphere. They serve alcohol and had a decent drink menu. The food menu truly includes a little of everything. So much so I had a HARD time deciding. We had the Reuben with sweet potato fries (which come with a yummy dipping sauce) and a baked potato loaded with pulled pork, grilled onions, and bacon. It was all very good!! When a restaurant in the north knows that the key to sweet tea is simple syrup, you know you are going to get some good tea. This was my first time here but we're with my parents who have dined here before. I got the sizzling sirloin with onion rings. The onion rings were sooooo good. Perfectly crispy, not overly greasy and I could have eaten a whole plate full of them. lol The steak was good. The thicker part cooked to a perfect medium. It could have had a little more flavor but overall I enjoyed it. My mom had the vegetable stir fry with pulled pork. The dish is a veggie blend with teriyaki sauce and you can add on a protein of your choice. The hubs had the country style meatloaf with mashed potatoes. He really enjoyed the gravy and mentioned that you could tell it was homemade and not from a packet. He liked the meatloaf but felt it was lacking something. My dad ordered the chicken gizzard special with fries. While this is a dish I personally would never order, my dad loves these kinds of dishes as they remind him of his childhood. He felt that they were perfectly seasoned and weren't heavily breaded. Overall we had a really good dinner. There were a couple small annoyances with service (never received refills on drinks and didn't receive the bread with salads) but let it slide as the servers seemed to be pulled in several directions. I had the perch sandwich. Perch is usually a sweet tasting white flaky fish. My sandwich was 3 pieces of fish that tasted so fishy i could not finish it. My wifes chicken sandwich was good and you get a lot of food for your money and many of the cocktails are nicely priced. Pricing overall is reasonable. We will return but I will not get the perch. If they are skimping on the quality of the fish I would have paid more for a delicious sandwich. Or maybe it was not fresh. No one can know. I will update upon my return. read more

This place sits on the corner of M52 and M50 and may be easy to miss. Danley's has daily specials that at times are very creative and delicious. I have never walked out of here having a bad meal. The staff is always friendly and tentative. This place will become very busy On Friday and Saturday nights. This Friday night they were very busy but after we were seated we were greeted quickly by a gentleman that got us our drinks. It had appeared his job was to get drinks, refills and cleanup. What a great way to keep the patrons happy and drinks full for waitstaff to keep people moving. They do have a nice full bar as well. Overall a very clean place. Absolutely speechless you need to drive here specifically for this place if not for anything else around it. It does not make sense the food of this quality is coming out of the kitchen basically in the middle of nowhere with corn fields around it. I have had much lower quality product out of supposed five star high end restaurants downtown and abroad. I previously had the famous broasted chicken at a few other events bit never had been inside the restaurant. I recently had dinner here with a friend and was quite surprised at how big it is inside and the variety of the menu options. Since I had the chicken elsewhere, I was considering the perch dinner, the classic comfort food of turkey dinner or the mushroom portobello ravioli with salmon. The waitress said hopefully there was 2 raviolis left and luckily there was so my decision was made. It was a great choice because it was very delicious. My friend and I both really liked it. The appetizer was pretty good also pretzels with a bacon cheese dip. The restaurant is definitely caters toward the beer drinker and craft beers but also has a full bar. I typically drink frozen margaritas but they only had regular ones. I tried a blueberry margarita and didn't care for it and traded it for a black cherry White Claw. My friend enjoyed her watermelon Moscow Mule. I definitely would return here in the future and maybe try a mixed drink next time. read more

Ordered a patty melt.When my sandwich arrived it was extremely greasy. So greasy my hands, like the bread, was soaked in grease. Grease actually dripped out of the sandwich. When I mentioned the issue to the wait staff she said it is because they use butter on the bread and proceeded to offered to get me 2 pieces of bread to remake the sandwich. Never did the wait staff apologize, offer to replace the greasy sandwich with another item or said they would adjust the bill. So just before bringing the bill the wait staff said "I brought you a take out container and if you want I can get you 2 pieces of bread". I replied if I can't eat the greasy patty melt here how can I eat it at home. Like somehow I can craft a sandwich at home when Danley's can make one at their establishment. Is this a complete failure of Danley's or the wait staff? Long standing customer lost. read more

Decided to stop as it is only 1 of 2 places to eat between Chelsea and the north edge of Adrian, and the Hungry Wolf in Manchester, we have already tried. My hubs said he hadn't been to this restaurant since he was a kid. The outside looks like an other non-descript Michigan small town eatery - which is NOT what we found when walking in. Nicely decorated, family-style sports pub and restaurant. You are greeted by a large chalkboard listing a fabulous selection of micro brews/imports and specialties on draft. I order the a Scoth Pale Ale and hubs had a Bells. The waitstaff was nice and attentive. Nice pours for the price and couldn't believe the price points on the menu too. Alcoholic beverages were CHEAP (ok, compared to Ann Arbor) and the food was nice selection. I am told they are famous for their broasted chicken. I don't know what that is, because once I saw that they had a catfish dinner on the menu for $11.95, my choice was made. It was a good size portion and I couldn't believe I ate the whole thing. Perfectly cooked, breaded and served piping hot. It was heaven! I looooovvveeee good catfish. mmmm! I opted for a cup of the soup of the day - which was clam chowder. It was excellent. Not from GFS or a can. It was real, cream-based, chunky and well seasoned. It was very thin for a chowder, but I am not complaining after tasting it. They have a small but interesting selection of appetizers. I ordered the garlic fries as they sounded good and maybe a little dangerous - the way that my husband wasn't going to kiss me the rest of the night-loaded with garlic - kind of dangerous. I see the potential in the fries, but this order wasn't cooked enough. The fries needed to be crispier to hold up to the wet diced garlic pieces, but I see how they are popular. Hubs ordered a Loaded Taco potato. The menu listed about 4 or 5 loaded potatoes and if you thing that's not enough to fill you for dinner, it's a mistake. Plate-sized pile of toppings with a large baker potato underneth. I hope to make this a regular spot to meet friends for dinner and drinks for the evening. Definitely a must try if you find yourself at M52 and 50 and want some good food. read more

We took a drive to the Tecumseh, Michigan area and decided to try a local dinning spot. We arrived by design at about 4:30 PM to beat the evening rush and were seated promptly. It was a good choice because within 30 minutes there was a wait for seating inside and outside. The ambiance was pleasant with a pub/ bistro atmosphere and our server was an amiable young lady who quickly took our drink and appetizer order. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip served with pita bread triangles and nacho chips. The dip was flavorful though with a bit too much garlic for our tastes. The pita triangles were fine but the chips though fresh were very hard. The dip was served in a very small ramekin which for $11.99 was not a good value in our opinion. I ordered a "lake perch sandwich" after questioning the server if it was genuine yellow lake perch. Often when " lake perch" is listed on menus it is white perch which is inferior and typically unpalatable to our tastes. Fortunately it was the genuine article. I ordered it on a pretzel bun with lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce priced at $16.99. My wife and dining companion ordered a grilled chicken wrap $13.99 which was large enough to feed two! We chose a dinner salads as our side along with baked potatoes for a slight up charge. The lake perch sandwich was tasty but the tartar sauce was not to my liking and diminished the overall flavor of the dish. However the salads were fresh and delicious while the baked potatoes were steaming hot and perfectly prepared. My wife enjoyed the chicken wrap but considered it average overall compared to similar dishes at other venues. Our beverage choices were ice water with lemon and diet sodas so we were surprised at our check being over $58.00 We would rate our overall experience as pleasant enough but overpriced for the quality. Good service, pleasant ambiance, decent but not great food for the price. read more

We have lived in the area for a while but haven't been to this establishment before when we walk in it had a cute feeling definitely a craft beer restaurant they had all different kinds of beer Taps on the ceiling. The food was very good everything homemade. Only issues is : I would try to take care of the fly problem we had three at our table that would not leave us alone and I would clean out the ashtray out front so it looks nice when you come in but an all together good night. read more

Back in the 60s, 70s, 80s this restaurant was known as The Country House and it was a favorite of "old people" everywhere. I remember my grandparents taking the family out here. Lots of old people 70s, 80s, 90s. Well fast forward 40 plus years and the Country House is now known as Danley's Country House.. and their menu has changed . It Appeals to all people; young and old 20-somethings to 80 somethings ...and I'm somewhere in between, and I thought the food was pretty damn good. And now they have a bar... a cool bar with a craft beer selection, and a nice bourbon selection. In our party of four we enjoyed the cheeseburger, talapia, garlic fries and the high-end mac and cheese: Cavatappi n Cheese with goodies inside. Everybody loved their food, even my picky mom who always finds something to complain about. I was so happy to be able to deflect them from their default Chinese place only to have them glad they came. So whatever your age might be, there is something for you here. Big TV's too . read more
