Very decent BBQ for Greeley. Worth the 10 for lunch. Didn't try the ribs, however, which I think is the real test.

I tried the "rib plate" dinner, to go. The meat fell apart upon opening the box (usually a sign that the meat was boiled before smoking), and had no noticeable taste of smoke, sweetness, or spice. The texture of the meat was rather mealy. The membrane on the back of the ribs had not been removed. Several pieces of my meal were "riblets," from above the ribs, rather than actual ribs. The onion straws accompanying my dinner tasted curiously watery, though they were fried crisp. I didn't bother to try the bun. Overall, an unpleasant culinary experience. Took advantage of one meat plate BOGO with the hopes that your meats were not dry and crumbly, as before. Disappointed again!!! Pinto beans under cooked. Rudy's Bar BQ, has yet to serve over, dry meats like your location does. You are more convenient to get to but food quality much better at Rudy's. Would like response from corporate headquarters. To preface, I'm not a bbq snob. Having said that, I have had a lot of different bbq -some of it very bad- and I can confidently give this place a thumbs up. Ordered online whent in to pick up order waited for 15 min when they finaly got my order it was ready. When i questioned why i had to wait 15 min when my order was ready the response i got was "it was ordered on line it takes last priority." (Correct me of im wrong but a customer is a customer shouldn't matter how the order was placed.) Then i reffered to the big sign on the wall that says "order online avoid the line" the response i then got was your in my restaurant see your self out. read more

Dickey's is a nice bbq restaurant in Greeley. They just opened a new store in West Greeley. I was impressed to see the owner working the line. There are good menu items and the food taste great. read more

We were anxious to try Dickey's in Greeley. The one in FOCO was good while it lasted. I picked up takeout and was generally pleased. They had run out of ribs and potato salad so that's for next time. The brisket,sausage, and pork were good. The beans weren't great but OK. All in all we'll go back often. It's much closer than either Nordy's or BBQ Bobs. Give it a try!! read more

I would give a much lower score if the food weren't so good. The food is delicious and how can you beat kids eat free on Sundays? Since we have a bigger family we usually are only there on Sunday and we don't go until around 7 so we can meet my husband there. Every single time we've been there they are out of almost all food. A better question to ask is what food do you actually have right now? Obviously the person doing the ordering of food has no idea how to calculate trends to determine how much they need. How can a bbq restaurant run our of meat or potatoes every single day? staff has always been very rude every time we've been with the exception of a few. If it was a more pleasant experience we would go much more often. I think we will be driving through from now on so we don't have to deal with the rude people or just stop eating there all together. It would be one thing if it was a one time experience but it's another when it's every time. read more

I had a beef brisket sandwich that had hardly any meat on it and was way overpriced at $6.00. It was also tasteless. I had a side salad that was a SMALL cup of shredded lettuce that looked like Cole Slaw that was $2.50. Food was POOR and way OVERPRICED! Arby's is way better and cheaper. NEVER AGAIN! read more

We arrived and stood at the window to place an order for at least 3 minutes before anyone even made eye contact,,,then when we tried to order a 2 meat plate pork & sausage we were told they were out of pulled pork, picked a second meat the cheese sausage and that was still another 15 minutes away from being done While we were eating 3 other customers came in & asked for the pork (don't you think they could put a sign up saying they were out instead of letting people decide and then say they were out ) .... anyway we asked to speak to the manager when we asked why they were out of pork & sausage he was very flippant like he didn't care and said well you just have to order something else !! Wow guess he doesn't really want to please.... the brisket was nice & tender the ribs were very tough the mac & cheese were border line warm....the bisquits were good,, when we were ready to leave he said hey we have some pork now!! Hubby & I were really looking forward to trying this place after reading about it in the local newspaper. We decided on take-out & were really disappointed on the amount of food you get for the price. I found my ribs to be a bit dried out & the sauce wasn't that tasty. Hubby got a pulled pork sandwich. THis place is ridiculious. I was in the drive up line for 21 minutes before they even acknowledged that I was there. When I spoke to the General manager he stated, I don't know what to tell you we are busy. There was not even 10 cars in the parking lot. The customer service is awful and then when you look at the price... they should be thankful anyone patronizes them at all. I have to say - granted this is delivery (through orderup.com from the Greeley Colorado store) This is damn good BBQ - and, its been a couple of months since we've ordered (not for quality reasons or anything - personal) they quit watering down their sauce so much!!! That brought it from a 3 to 5 in its self! Its not the best - but hey - I get it delivered, and its edible and the foods never been *bad* from this location - I recommend all the time :) read more

Me and my boyfriend came here after waiting at the DMV for almost 3 hours and we were hungry. I'm not a big BBQ critic, but i love BBQ when i do get it. My boyfriend on the other hand is a huge BBQ fan and very picky with his BBQ. My boyfriend and I loved this place, Its not his most favorite BBQ place but its definitely the best when it comes to getting BBQ on the go. I had there Spicy Cheddar Sausage BBQ Sandwich and Oh my gosh it was so delicious, The sausage has an excellent bite to it. The meat was prepared better than my boyfriends favorite BBQ restaurant but they don't have corn bread sadly. The service was excellent, everyone was nice and had a smile on there face and was very helpful and informative about their menu. If your looking for a place to grab some delicious BBQ on the go. Walking into the store I was greeted by a worker cleaning windows. she didnt turn and look at me she just said "welcome to dickeys" I have never been in before so I had no idea what I was in for , besides the multiple people that have told me its over priced, looking for an order here sign I didnt see one so I stepped to the counter where I stood for about 3 minutes looking at a worker while she looked at me. Funnily enough I had to ask her if she was ready to take my order. Once again never been in before so I wasn't sure if I was in the wrong or what. she said yes with a little remourse. I told her what I wanted 3 TIMES!!! before she got what I was saying and asked me what kind of meet. I told her chicken and she huffed. walked over to get the last chicken of the day so she told me.and asked if it was ok that it was going to be .5 short............I DO NOT WORK AT DICKEYS I have no Idea what that means. so I asked her. then I told her it was my first time there. as a family walked up to the counter my sandwich sat on the counter nobody wrapping them or touching them everyone just started helping the family that was there.extremely helpful to the family that was there but I was kindof put on the back burner. Not a good experience. the chicken was dry. Wich makes sense due to it being the last chicken of the day........ Last two times I had the ribs they were not so good. Tasted like they were quick cooked instead of slow cooled. Glad for the location, but wish the ribs were better. I'll wait quite a while before having them again. Brisket was good. read more

I only give this place two stars because I have visited in the past and it was quick and delicious, but tonight was a different experience all together. I waited 40, yes 40 minutes in the drive thru. I even turned my car off a couple of times, only running to get some air. I spent $22 on a 2 meat plate, a baked potato with VERY little meat on it and a tea. I finally got home started to eat potato and it was SUPER OLD! It was old tasting and grey in color on the inside, you know leftover baked potato. I called and asked how old the potatoes are that they are serving tonight, first the manager said 2 hours, I said try again. He finally admitted that it was probably cooked around 11 am and I bought it at 6:30 pm so in his own admission it was at least 7 1/2 hours old-gross! However, I suspect it was AT LEAST a day old. I told him about the long wait, expensive food, just to get home and discover disgusting old food. I mention his lack of quality standards. He began to YELL at me and said don't talk to me about my standards, you don't know about my standards! Funny thing is, I do know about his standards, he lied and denied when it comes to the food he is serving as a manager! You don't lie the first time when you have standards. Those are his Standards, enough said! I asked for owners number. He begrudgingly gave it to me. I have tried to contact the Owners twice only to get a machine. I probably won't try anymore, why should I call owners who could care less about their business. It is obvious in the employees they hire and the food that they sell that they just don't really care. I wish people would take accountability in this world. $22 and an upset stomach later, stressful experience, and overall terrible night! I'm going to try Peace Pit BBQ on 8th ave. next time, I hear they are delicious and all reviews are 5 stars on Yelp. read more
