I ordered this on my birthday since I had been planning to try it for a while. It exceeded my expectations. I got the Spam musubi since that is one of my favorite guilty pleasures. Delicious! I also ordered their meat platter which came with short ribs, grilled chicken and pulled pork. That was also very delicious. What a fun and delicious find! First time at this restaurant. There is a wide range of choices on the menu. Hawaiian bbq of chicken, chicken katsu , beef , short ribs or combo. I had the combo and I really liked the katsu. It's thin, crispy and served with a great dipping sauce. Lots of rice and steamed cabbage. We also ordered a sushi roll and that was also very good. The poke bowl was delicious. The tuna was fresh and the dish was quite pretty as well. Really good flavor and assortment of veg and rice. As a fun treat we ordered Thai bubble milk tea. Several flavors and variations of teas to choose from. Relaxed, casual atmosphere. 4- 6 tables lined up in the room . This place was highly disappointing. The tuna poke bowl was so bad. Nauseating slop Of saucy old veggies. The katsu was a 2 out of 5. The beef rib was rubbery. The macaroni salad was so dry and wasn't even a hint like a Hawaiian macaroni salad. It was basically dry noodles. So gross we tossed it and went to Taco Bell. We dined here for 4th or 5th time. We reviewed it previously in '20 during the covidiocy. Lunch this time. I had a new item (to me, anyway): a grilled beef 'hawaiian burrito'. I really liked it. Comprised of pieces of grilled beef, inside sticy rice, wrapped in nori. The nori gave it a very pleasant umami-ocean-ey flavor. It came with teriyaki sauce for dipping. The other dish we ordered was a 'combo': chicken katsu and chicken BBQ. Of course: two scoops of rice and a tub of mac salad, stir fried cabbage and broccoli. Accompanied by a light, sweet BBQ sauce and teriyaki sauce. All were flavorful; the katsu crisp. We enjoy this place. It brings memories of our time in HI; and the food is correct for fast/street food; at least in our experience. We recommend it and hope folks will support this island in the sea of fast food and Mexican places that make up Pueblo's dining scene. read more

Had lunch at the Aloha Hawaiian BBQ yesterday. I had the coconut shrimp burrito and my wife had the Salmon poke bowl. Both were excellent. My burrito was more like a sushi hand roll with coconut shrimp, cream cheese, avocado, mango, and rice, all wrapped in nori. The combination of flavors and textures was outstanding. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared. The prices were reasonable. The atmosphere is a little shaky but clean. Everything was served in styrofoam containers and wrapped in paper with plastic utensils. While not environmentally very friendly... still about the best option for take-out which they seemed to do quite a bit of. Great place for a unique meal that won't break the bank! read more

After an awesome day at the lake, we checked out the local menus and thought this one sounded pretty interesting. We chose the salmon bbq plate and the coconut shrimp plate. The sides included broccoli, macaroni salad, rice, and cabbage. The difference between the medium and large is the amount of rice and the amount of sauce. So we chose the medium. The salmon plate came with plain salmon with bbq as a side. This is interesting because the menu says "BBQ salmon", but it is not bbq salmon at all. The coconut shrimp had a very strong coconut flavor, however was not crispy at all. Very flimsy and greasy. Not quite sure what the side of mayo sauce was, however it did not complement the shrimp. It would have been better to have the teriyaki bbq instead. There were 3 spoonfuls of rice per plate, which were a bit overcooked. The broccoli and cabbage was just that. A side of steamed broccoli and cabbage, nothing to comment on. The front staff was not knowledgeable about the ingredients in the dishes, so we had no idea what we were eating other than the mild descriptions on the menu. Wouldn't go again. I've had amazing Hawaiian food, and this just isn't it. read more

Aloha Hawaiian BBQ was a great random stop as I was driving through Pueblo CO. I found them on Yelp and was excited to eat some great Hawaiian BBQ. I had their combo meat plate and had some ribs, chicken and some beef. Sides were the traditional rice and macaroni salad. Everything was on point and delicious and I was so glad that I stopped to enjoy the meal. Yelp guided me well and the next time I am through Pueblo I am sure hoping I have the time to stop by and pick up some more of this delicious BBQ. This was a great little hole in the wall place to find! It doesn't look like much from the outside honestly. And not one of those places I would usually venture into without a recommendation. But a friend who was with me had had some Hawaiian bbq from somewhere else before and said it was good so we thought we would try this place. We were pleasantly surprised! The flavor of all their food was really good! The coconut shrimp was really good along with the ribs and chicken. The service was kind and quick. There weren't any others in there at the time though. New place only open a few weeks. Very clean and orderly. Could use some signage to instruct customers how to order. Not readily apparent that you order at the counter then sit down and the food is brought to you. This could be solved with an outgoing cashier conveying this information as customers walk in. You order and pay at the counter with self-serve drinks then pick your table to sit. I expected to grab the food off the counter but they brought it to the table. Apparently all food is served in to go containers but I saw picture of the food on dishes so a little confused. The freshness of the food we ordered was excellent. We had crab wontons, chicken Katsu and chicken teriyaki. All sauces served on the side. Entree size choice is medium or large, you get the meat of choice, 2 scoops of rice, one scoop of macaroni salad and steamed broccoli. Good portions for bigger appetites if you order the large. Plates are composed of food you'd get on a the historic famous "plate lunches" available in diners and food counters throughout the Hawaiian islands. Originally fed to cane field laborers and others doing hard work, they are very carb heavy to sustain a long work day. Aloha is very close to the taste and quality of actual plate lunches with the macaroni salad being the big difference. Plates in Hawaii use smaller macaroni and more mayonnaise in their recipe. Alohas version is good just not the same or as good. I would seriously consider adding loco moco and Kalua Pig to the be menu. Overall a good experience and a good alternative to Panda or the other Chinese take out restaurants, definitely worth a try. read more

I am more than pleasantly surprised at this hidden find. My sister lived in Hawaii for a very long period of time, in which I visited for extended time. This is the most authentic food I have had since being in Hawaii. Although I ordered delivery I am impressed with the menu and wish I would have gone sooner. Great place and reasonable prices. This is a new local Hawaiian place in Pueblo with great hawaiian food! I have been to Hawaii every year for the last 3 years and it is the closest thing I have had to the traditional hawaiian food trucks you find on the North Shore. I ordered the combo plate with Chicken and Beef. While my girlfriend ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer. I LOVED the coconut shrimp and I also enjoyed my combo plate. The restaurant was super clean and the staff was very friendly. This made our dining experience really great. Their weren't any people in the restaurant while we were there so it was really private as well. The only thing I would have liked to see is the sauces on the table and more direction of where things are placed around the restaurant. Other than that it was a great experience and would definitely recommend. read more

Food was delicious, as a matter of fact it was a lot of food...they didn't skimp out, you definitely get what you pay for. But I must say, the young lady that brought took our order and brought our food to our table was so pleasant and personable. Not too often you receive such kind service like this anymore, especially at your smaller type take-out, fast food restaurants. Great find with super nice people! This is not chain food. This is local business which we like to support. This is good Island food with island style friendliness. Prices are decent The Bobas ate good as is the Thai tea. Again In The age of the Pandemic it's good to see clean environment and they were spotless. We encourage everyone to buy their own reusable utensils/straws for the sake of the environment. And pack them In Their cars purses backpacks etc. The food was very good Katsu was fried just right not greasy not undercooked. The Katsu sauce was very good.
