The meat on the sandwiches was old and dried out , the fries were burnt , and the okra was soggy like it has been microwaved. Terrible food, high prices, and the place was absolutely filthy. The guy taking my order had ear pods in and was on a phone call the whole time. After we order he wandered around, watched TV, whatever. My feet stuck to the floor it was so dirty. Stuff spilled, they just stick a wet floor sign there instead of clean. Broken equipment. Just wanted to let who in charge (paying the bills) since it open after being closed for quite some time. I went to give it another try,,,, waited at the counter for 4 minutes no one came. Place was empty, one other customer at the counter by the cash register. Got tired of waiting and went to spend my money at another place in slidell. I'll be highly disappointed if I don't get food poisoning from eating at this place! As soon as I walked through the doors, I knew I should have turned around, but instead, I went against my judgment and decided to order. There was no ice or soda from the machine, the tea tasted horrible, and the food overall was complete garbage. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. It was apparent it hadn't been cleaned in a few days or a week or two! Dickey's on Lindberg Drive provided catering for our office party. Myrtis took our order and was very helpful and friendly. She gave us great recommendations on what to order (pecan pie is a must). Food was delivered hot and on time. Would definitely use this Dickey's again for our next office party. read more

I wish I could give them more than 3 stars but it just isn't that good BBQ. I had the ribs and mashed potatoes. With their sweet bbq sauce. Meat came off the bone easy enough which is as it should be. They are close to being better. read more

I love this place! It was my first time coming and I came because the CEO was signing the cookbooks! The aroma when you enter is soo amazing. I decided to try the Kielbasa sausage for take out to add to my Red beans I already had planned for the night. I will be back! The quality of the meats was amazing. Worst service ever!!! Entered restaurant at 7:10pm. When placing our order for 2 pulled pork sandwiches, requested fried okra and person mumbled "not available". So I then requested fries, was told "nothing fried". I assumed that meant anything fried was not available. Looking for a clean table was challenging. All tables were dirty. There was only one other couple there sitting at the bar area. When my husband went to make an ice cream cone the same employee came right in front of my husband and turned off the ice cream machine. When asked if it was available was told "Nope." When we left, told the only other employee that this was the worse experience we've ever had here. He asked what happened. We informed him that the employee serving us was rude and that he turned the ice cream machine off right in front of my husband. The only answer we received was "well we are closing". It was 7:35pm. Their posted hours say 9:00pm. Not only was the service terrible the food was just mediocre. The pulled pork had no smoke flavor. The potato casserole was just mashed potato's again with no flavor. We will not be back!! It's really a shame because we used to love Dickey's. read more

This new location is so nice as soon as we walked in we were greeted with happy friendly people. We ordered the 3 meat plate with double pulled pork and brisket with mac & cheese and amazing french fries everything was delicious and well seasoned! The staff was also so nice and welcoming! The brisket and burnt ends where great and actually well seasoned. The two sides I got were potato salad and coleslaw, both decent. The highlight for sure was the burnt ends and brisket. I tried Dickeys by Academy sports and that was horrible! But this new one is legit! Stop by and try them out yourself read more

was very disappointed. the pulled pork sandwich was extremely dry and flavorless the beans tasted old coleslaw was terrible im pretty sure they dont make it in house it was your standard like sum generic coleslaw you get from US foods chx was tender but also EXTREMELY dry the brisket was ok but yep again it was also very dry and even the BBQ sauce wasn't that great. if you're in slidell and want good BBQ hit up papa's BBQ its way better read more
