I've gone to Dick's for a muffler installation and resonator delete on our Jeep a few years ago and had such a great experience that I came back when I recently got into a car accident (in a different vehicle) and needed my muffler put back on and exhaust pipe straightened out. Both times I popped in, without an appointment, and was greeted by the kindest man who gives you a quote on the spot off the top of his head. I was at the right place at the right time when I found this place. I was in town trying to find a muffler shop to fix my exhaust that was rubbing against my rear leaf springs on my pickup. A couple of other shops that I had visited before stopping by Dick's either didn't have the time to do it, or were charging me too much. I pulled into Dick's muffler shop and saw Richard (shop owner) outside taking his break. I told him about my issue with the rubbing exhaust pipe and he went to work right away and crawled underneath my truck to see what was going on. He then told me it should be an easy fix and asked me when I wanted to have the work done. I asked him if he had time that same day and he said he was free to take me in right then and there. So I proceeded to pull my truck into the bay and on the lift. They have 3 lifts there by the way, and the shop is pretty big inside and could accommodate 3 vehicles at once. Richard got right to work and took his time to make the appropriate spacer to re-align my tail pipe such that it would no longer rub against my rear lift kit. When installing the spacer, Richard made sure to apply a good bead of weld around the mating surfaces. I talked to Richard for a bit and he told me a story about the shop. Apparently this is one of Fairfield's oldest muffler shop that is still in business. He told me that he has been at the shop since '78 and that the shop had opened it's doors in 1968. Really nice guy and very knowledgeable. He knew exactly what to do when he saw my issue and he delivered. Best part was that he was very fair in his pricing and he came out to be lower than what the other shops were asking. I would definitely recommend Dick's muffler shop. This guy is amazing and he has reasonable prices I first had him replace a car on a Nissan Sentra some years back don't remember the exact price but there was a significant difference between what he charged me and other shops where quoting me for the same exact thing he also let me bring my own cat (which I don't recommend believe me when I tell you he the plug for the cats ) fast forward I got a new car that needed a new cat which was covered under warranty I ended up going to midway muffler (definitely don't recommend that place) so while there where doing the cat I guess they dint notice the heat shield was cracked (highly unlikely they didn't notice more likely they did an didn't fix it so that I would have too come back) anyway I took it to dicks he found the problem and fixed it for me free of charge read more

I was there for a non-muffler service. My son broke the rocking.metal part of our patio chair. I went to a couple of muffler shops in the area and its either too expensive to repair (weld) or not repairable at all. I went to Dick's Muffler Shop to have the rear mufflers removed to make my Dodge Challenger sound a little bit more beefy. The rate was very reasonable. However, it created an annoying drone while driving on the freeway. I went back to have the mufflers put back on, which Rich still had, and replaced them back onto the car. When it was time to pay he did something that only few people on this earth can or would do. He made it so affordable! I had a broken off oxygen sensor and had galled the threads badly. I had given up and accepted that My goof was going to cost me big. Richard took the truck and re tapped the threads, installed the new sensor and even turned off the check engine light! I expected a big bill but to my surprise he only charged me the one hour minimum, around 45 bucks. What a great deal!' I just want to say this gentleman is a stand up honest guy. What a Godsend! My wife's CRV needed a catalytic converter and another local shop; which I will not name, quoted me $900.00 installed for an aftermarket. I went to Dick's Muffler Shop and met with Richard. He checked my code that came up and confirmed it needed a catalytic converter. Not only did he quote me almost half the price of this other shop but he did it in a very timely fashion and explained and showed my wife how the old one failed. He also installed an aftermarket unit with a 5 year or 50,000 mile warranty. It's not too often these days that you get excellent and honest service at a Service Shop with excellent pricing.
