Dick's Primal Burger in Portland's Woodstock neighborhood we hold a disability meeting the first Sunday of each month from 1 to 4. All are welcome! Dick's is a cheeky, health-focused gem that delivers seriously tasty burgers without the guilt. Specializing in 100% grass-fed beef, exotic options like venison or dork (duck-pork blend), and plenty of paleo, keto, gluten-free, vegan, and allergy-friendly choices, it's a haven for clean eating. The Primal Burger is juicy and flavorful, elevated by house-made garlic aioli and fresh local veggies. a casual vibe that's dog-friendly too.

At first glance of the name and menu, this place definitely has a vibe of paleo and keto leaning, as evidenced by the specialty beef, sourdough buns, soy-free tempeh, and lettuce wrap options, but don't let that turn you off if you don't subscribe to that philosophy. We received great service with ample vegan options on the menu and safety measures in place for celiac disease! The only items with gluten are the buns, which they house in their own area. They have a dedicated gluten-free fryer, and even crispy chicken that is gluten-free! Service was very fast- you order at the counter then take a table number. Aside from that, the food is okay. I got a build-your-own salad bowl because I didn't feel up to eating a heavy sandwich. The salad was served in a HUGE mixing bowl that was mostly mixed greens and pieces of broccoli that required two bites to eat. The standout is their marinated chickpea tempeh, which was delicious, but didn't make the salad anything to write home about. My husband felt the same about his chicken sandwich and fries. Price is also a little steep for something I could make at home pretty easily. Overall, not a bad place to stop for lunch if you're in a hurry. Everyone is friendly and the place welcomes anyone regardless of their dietary preferences.

Nice and spacious burger restaurant. I love that they have sweet potatoes fries. Owners and staff are very friendly. They also have desserts and shakes. This place has a good number of seats and a private area. Street parking.

Dicks was just okay. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the place is clean. The decor is humorous with pictures of famous people named 'Dick'. But the burger was just okay. I liked the fact that it's grass fed, and so I gave it 4-stars, and it's not bad, but didn't inspire me to want to return. I think at one time this may have been a go-to place but I think now it's just a nice, convenient neighborhood place to eat. But I like their decor.

Couldn't wait to dig into this chili cheese dog.

A gem of a burger joint! I went Keto years ago, and being able to get my burger on a salad is a huge bonus. Dick's has awesome salads without a burger, and lots of other fantastic options for food. The chili cheese dog is another favorite, delicious hot dog, and really yum chili. The staff has been here for years, a good sign for the management-treating people well enough to stick around. I always enjoy the pictures of the various men named Richard on the walls- sometimes I have to cheat and go to the pic to see who they are, another fun feature of this restaurant. They have adult shakes (which can be non alcoholic should one desire), a great beer selection and a few cocktails for those who chose hard stuff.

Great burgers and the poutine is awesome. The service was great. The atmosphere was great with all the "Richard pics".

Whoa Nellie I just had one of the best burgers of my life AND took an order to go in a bag that read "Aubrie's Bag of Dicks" so I can scratch that one off my to-do list! But for reals. The young guy at the counter could not have possibly been nicer to us, the place was clean and the food came out not so quickly that you worry it was just warmed up, but not so long that you worry that they are slaughtering in the back. Just perfect! Beets! Yummy fries! Vegan milkshake! DUDE I am so full and happy! Can't wait to come back!

Food is amzing here i order My Chili Picante burger on a keto bun and it was the best burger ever, the meat quality is one of a kind also it's the only place i know you can order a keto burger so far.

Our first visit. The food is decent, nothing to call home about. The cook who delivered the food was nice. However, the service provided by the order taker was rather depressed acting. The decor inside is nice looking about sports bar like. They have a cardboard Sasquatch as a mascot on the back wall. The tables were dirty/sticky. Witnessed one woman return an item from a Build your own burger as it had aioli on it and she didn't want aioli. The cooks immediately started taking smack right in front of the customer which made her then question if there was a problem with them remaking it and someone (expediter) said that it was alright they would remake it. They continued to talk crap about the customer after she had left. The burgers are small and fairly basic tasting. The fries are larger. We had ordered poutine which don't actual have cheese curds but more like shredded white cheddar. The bacon cheddar fries tasted better. After witnessing the behavior of the staff, and the mediocre burger, I probably wouldn't come back.

Delicious food so tasty!! Jason provided stellar service, and it was a quiet environment. Plenty of room for a bigger party, and a menu you can easily find something not processed and yummy ! They serve both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Check it out!!

However, my afternoon excursion into Downtown this Saturday was so thoroughly delightful that I felt an absolute duty to share my experience for my premier review. The central district was beautifully bustling for the weekend, yet the establishment maintained an air of effortless hospitality. The staff members were remarkably friendly a quality I find immensely pleasing. I escorted myself to an excellent, highly comfortable seat to survey the room. The waitress promptly presented a refreshing beverage, and we engaged in a brief, lovely conversation. She was entirely charming and attentive. While the menu's selections were somewhat more conservative in scale than I had initially anticipated, it was perfectly curated with solid, classic options. For my luncheon, I selected the Portland Burger. The kitchen executed the order with commendable timing, presenting the dish precisely thirteen minutes later. The presentation was grand an impressively large, substantial burger composed of a beautifully toasted bun, premium meat, and impeccably prepared onion rings. The entire experience was an absolute treat. I am thoroughly enamored with this exciting Downtown find and shall most certainly be returning

Between the genuinely friendly hospitality and the flavor combinations, this spot hits it out of the park and is a must for sandwich lovers. Griddled Mortadella (5/5): An incredibly delicious sandwich that perfectly balances rich, salty, and savory flavors. It comes loaded with a generous portion of grilled mortadella and melted provolone cheese, perfectly moistened with a tangy mustard aioli. The fresh lettuce and bell peppers added a satisfying crunch to every bite. Chefwich - K-Town Steak Sandwich (5/5): A limited-time creation packed into a banh mi roll. It had a generous portion of perfectly tender and sweet bulgogi steak that pairs with their melted jack cheese. The gochujang mayo sauce had a subtle and sweet heat, while the fresh kimchi added crunch and slight acidity to balance the rich meat. Elote Tater Tots (5/5): Definitely a creative side dish. The tots were perfectly fried and topped elote style with cotija cheese, pairing well with the smoky chipotle mayo on the side. Logistics Tip: Street parking is surprisingly easy to find in the surrounding area, even on a busy weekend evening. The restaurant has a spacious layout with plenty of seating options both inside and outside. If you're a first-timer, don't hesitate to ask the staff for suggestions, as they're exceptionally warm, welcoming, and passionate about the menu.

My daughter and I shared the Willamette Reuben and her friend ordered the Italian Flag. We shared the Lardo fries. Oh man, the Reuben was perfection! The flavor of the meat and everything on the sandwich, from texture to flavor--chef's kiss! We heard that the Italian Flag was excellent too. IMO. This BBQ is Kansas City style, so the sauce is a bit sweeter. We got the brisket, the chicken wings, and sides. We couldn't decide if on the sauce for the wings, so we got all 3 on the side. The Alabama white sauce was A+ The brisket was perfectly tender. It had great flavor and marbling. The wings are full wings with the drummette attached. That's the way to do it!
