Decent sports store. Wide assortment of equipment across numerous sports. Reason for low rating is that item at checkout rung up $10 over final price. Quickly corrected when called out, but that is a big red flag for me on the quality of a retailer. read more

DICK's sporting goods has a good selection and just about any sport you can think of! Would like to see the store cleaned up more often, refreshed, and stock kept up. Staff here can be nice. A good option if you need sporting goods, sports wear or the like in the Southridge Area. read more

Made a quick stop there this morning. Looking for a couple of whistles for boat life jackets. Young man greeted us asked what we were looking for and pointed us in the right direction. Got to where he sent us and the specific brand that was on sale wasn't on the shelf. Found another young man. very personable. Showed me where the sale items were. Lots of help for a couple of $2 whistles. So I broke down and bought a dozen golf balls for $50. Friendly service read more

The bathrooms at this Dick's location are absolutely terrible and disgusting. I can't believe they don't have staff checking on cleanliness of bathrooms during the work day. I ended up going somewhere else and needless to say I didn't purchase anything. read more

Went to Dicks today and bought a canoe, a canoe rack and pieces for my factory luggage rack. Set to pickup canoe tomorrow with another one they are due to get in stock. Went to assemble the canoe rack and when it was half done realized there were missing parts. Corporate help ie said it would be 10-12 weeks before they could get me those parts and to take the unit back to the store and exchange it. It was unpacked and half put together. I called the store and they said come on in with my receipt and they would take care of me. I wen to the store and they tore open a rack box, pulled out the parts and handed then to me. I was on my way ready to take the canoes home. Pretty good customer service. Don't see that at many businesses now days. read more

I ordered an item through their website, received a confirmation email and a 'it's been shipped' email with the same date as the original order and took that day off work. The item wasn't even on the loading dock yet on the day it was to be delivered and when I called the moving company they were given the wrong phone number despite the confirmation order having the correct number on it. I now have to wait another week and a half to get it redelivered. They have no system in place at all to track orders - the online order tracker says the tracking number doesn't even exist. The customer service just transferred my blindly and the moving company left me on hold multiple times for well over 10 minutes. Find someone else for online orders. read more

In place of the old Sears department store at Southridge Mall, there's now a great big Dick's sporting goods store! What a great addition to the area, especially after some other stores have struggled and left. I stopped by today on a quest for hockey skate laces and didn't realize that this location existed until I looked online at the store finder. I was surprised that there was a Dick's just a few miles from home, and it saved me a few more miles of driving to the nearest hockey store. I walked in to find a gorgeous selection of Patagonia and North Face sweaters and outerwear, and wandered into the hockey aisle which was only a little further away. Dick's selection of hockey stuff is limited, but not bad, and better than the selection at Dunham's (who didn't have laces when I called). I was in and out quickly and did not tour the whole gigantic store, but I saw gorgeous, large sections of Nike and big displays of Yeti coolers. The store looks amazing, and it looks like it's going to be a great place to shop for sporting goods. When my son started hockey I bought some of his things online from Dick's and I was getting their emails. They also have a loyalty program. Checkout lines were slow today, and that may be a problem. I asked the cashier how long they've been open and it's been a little over a month. Definitely stop by this location and check it out for yourself! read more

Just another Dick's Sporting Goods. Today the stock was on the low side. They did have a good sale on igloo gloves, $9.99. Checkout was confusing. There were no clear indications of where the line started or ended. Very slow checkout. The cashier was not too friendly. We had to walk back through the store to get to the mall to exit. On the way out we noticed there was a cashier all by herself, no one in line. She greeted us and said there is never a line at this register. So if you want a faster check, go to the register by the mall entrance to the store. read more

I worked for dicks sporting goods (Southridge location) and it is the worst place to work. I applied for part time sales associate/operations and was hired on as such... I was later offered a full time associate position in the shoes department and when asked about it I always got the run around. The supervisors are horrible and talk shit about all the employees including gossiping about the managers. They do not care about their employees at all. The morning crew would have to be there at 4:30am and would get there before any manager or supervisor would show up and we would still get docked points. Mind you I was hired as part time not seasonal or temporary but was let go because they said I was seasonal which was not specified on my application or during my interviews. Also a couple days after they let seasonal people go for "not having enough hours to give out" they put up now hiring signs. The managers do not know how to run a store and they are always understaffed yet they are hiring? the south ridge location is a terrible place to work in my opinion. Some employees there are cool but the supervisors, managers and work environment is poor. read more
