Date of visit: November 17, 2023 I visited looking for running shoes, after spending several minutes in the section I was asked if I needed help and I declined, but maybe I should have said, "yes," the shoes were kind of all over the place, not arranged by size and often not near the corresponding display shoes. Making matters worse is that the shoes are double-stacked, meaning I had to pull out the first set of boxes to see if the boxes hiding behind them were 1) the shoes I wanted, and 2) the right size. This took quite a bit more time than I had anticipated spending on this activity! Once I finally found a pair that was in my size and I liked, I went up front to pay and while there were several employees hanging around the door, only one of them was at a register, so I had to wait for her to finish with the customer in front of me. Fraud! I've been a returning customer and have spent thousands over the years! I recently purchased a pair of shoes online for my son and the next day, my card was compromised where another pair of shoes was ordered in my name for a ridiculous amount. When my bank notified me of the suspicious charge, I called Dick's Sporting Goods Fraud Department, filed with the police and my bank. Long story short Dick'sSporting Goods sent paperwork to my bank saying they have reason to believe I made this purchase and it was my responsibility. The bank later on disagreed and made it right but Dick'sSporting Goods.... Will not get another penny from me. read more

The new Dick's location is clean, big & bright - so much nicer than the Dunham's we stopped at last week. Pluses: +So many times in sporting goods stores, the ladies are an afterthought. Not here - there was just as much apparel for women as there was for men. Everything is laid out & displayed nicely. If you care what you look like when you're at the gym (I do not!), you'll be in heaven here. +Good selection of bike & tennis supplies for the Mister +Really helpful staff - we were probably checked on 10 times by different people. Now, I know they just opened & some of that will likely wear off but first impressions count. +Huge selection - they seem to have something for just about every sport out there Minuses: -Prices are about the same as you'll find elsewhere -In some cases, items are segregated by brand (North Face) vs. men/women so it can be a little confusing to find what you want Overall, I really liked this store - and I'd like credit for refraining from all of the dick & ball jokes I was sorely tempted to use in this review. read more

Absolute worst experience I've ever had. With soccer season rapidly approaching I decided to buy myself a new pair of shoes. After doing research online oh which pair I wanted I searched for the best deal possible and found them available here. I made a purchase online after being led they would arrive in 7-10 days. 12 days after my purchase I noticed my shoes had not shipped. I reached out to customer service to notify them of the issue to learn that the shoes I had purchased were a pre sale and would not ship for another 3 weeks. it's now been 5 weeks after I made my initial purchase. I was misled twice on when my shoes would ship/arrive. I'm writing this review due to the lack of professionalism within this company. All of my frustration could have been avoided had they had told me I was purchasing a pre sale item and not given me false information twice. read more

Came here to get a Milwaukee Brewer's shirt. Found the sizes (XL and XS) that I needed. Will definitely be returning to buy my running clothes here from now on! I wanted to buy everything. Got home feeling like I should not have given them my money. I was there looking for a men's winter jacket. There is no signage to help you find specific departments so I had to wander around a bit. Made eye contact & a head nod with a man in his 50s for help and he kept going. Men's jackets were scattered in 3 different areas (by brand) so I had to pick a favorite from each brand and then find a mirror. I found one single mirror, halfway across the store. Both employees, and customers looked at me funny for using a mirror when deciding on clothing. I then decided to go to the store website on my phone since the in store employees were useless. Found that one of my considerations was on sale but not marked in store. I raised my hand to a worker for help, nothing, another, nothing. Finally the man in his 50s was restocking near me and had no choice but to acknowledge my existence. He confirmed the jacket was on sale and I thanked him. He acted awkward toward me and walked away. Only thing I can think of is that I had just torn an outer pocket of my jacket and maybe I looked poor. I was literally there to buy a new jacket. Overall, they picked a perfect name. Gigantic. Ridiculous selection. Friendly staff. Prices about what you would expect. Not much else to say about this massive chain -- if you need anything sports related (save for hunting), this is your one-stop shop. I only stopped in out of necessity, looking for a winter running top the (late) evening before a race. I'd rather shop a local specialty store for athletic needs, but in a pinch, DSG was A-OK. read more

Dave, manager at the Burleigh store, was disingenuous about honoring an in store discount for an online purchase as long as I made the purchase then and there. After wasting over 10 mins of my time, he followed that up with a healthy dose of rude and flippant. Another win for Amazon Prime. read more

I'm extremely impressed with the care and level of customer service at Dick's. Gary helped me find and pick out sporting good merchandise for my son. I 'thought' I knew what I wanted my son to have and use. Gary provided me insight to items I hadn't thought out such as size, accessories, how the item would be used, etc. I almost ordered the item online but I'm glad I took the time to go to the store and talk to someone whom I could bounce ideas off, have someone ask me questions, get more information on the product, etc. Very impressed! read more

This is one of the finest sporting good stores you could shop. It is located in the new strip mall which is a perfect location. The store associates are friendly and knowledgeable about the product. The aisles were clean as well as the fitting rooms. read more
