I want to give a shout out to Lisa who helped us tremendously, and not only helped us use our coupon to its full advantage, but also brought over the manager when we had a concern with another associate's unhelpfulness and ambivalence. Close and convient location, surrounded by several other stores. For the most part this store has a decent selection of items and merchandise. However, staff seem to be inconsistent with their customer service skills. Sometimes the experience is good, other times not so much. For me, this store's biggest selling point is the location. read more

Nice sporting store but unfortunately wasn't able to find anything I needed at the time but the staff did try to help me substitute but still was able to get the things I needed good store great staff but was not a one stop shop. read more

I hate getting a gift card to a place that doesn't seem to want my business. We spent over thirty minutes in the shoe dept. waiting on the one poor girl that was working this morning. All I needed was to know if they had my size in a Timberland hiking boot but she was so distracted by one customer she couldn't wait on anyone else. There were several other people waiting on service so why wouldn't the management team have more staff working on a busy Saturday? This isn't the first time this has happened to us at this location. I will go to another location to spend my gift card but after that I'll only shop somewhere that appreciates my patronage. read more

I understand that the Memphis Tigers are playing for the March Madness but that's no reason that I should be waiting to be helped in addition there's no reason if I say I need cushion in my tennis shoes and that I have a wide foot and I am I wear a 10 till 9 and a half shoe that I have to that only ask for all of them to be bought out because all of the shoes on the display pretty much are sold out in my size but you bring 1 person shoes and you don't bring me any in the same size I hope the other dicks better be better than this customer service. When I did go go the Dick's on Germantown Road, I was immediately greeted and help quickly. They actually paid attention to what I wanted and needed and gave great recommendations. Am I happy about the price... no sir/ma'am. But I rather spent that money at the Germantown store (they would get a 5 out of 5 stars) than the one off of Polo ave. read more

Staff was helpful, but prices are always high.

My last time I was here, I received no greeting. Thus again, the same outcome. This time, no one was available to greet any customers; The only person I only saw was the checkout person with a customer. I really like that they have attempted to bring in more variety of merchandise, so I will give them credit for that, but for a store of this size needs floor help! My co-workers and I did track down a person to open up the virtual golf driving range, but that was luck because he was not even there everyday :O Well, I will upgrade only 1 additional star to "Ok". More improvement are needed though. read more

It appears to me they are NOT interested at all in selling items from the golf section. There is no one to wait on you and when someone finally appears they have very limited knowledge of the products sold. Additionally they had a bag I wanted to purchase that was on sale on-line but I wanted to pick it up at the store as I was going to be out of town. They canceled my order because they did not have the color at the store nearest me. With all of my contact information available to them, they did not let me know this. The color did not matter to me. They could have selected whatever was in stock sent it to me and then told me they changed the color. That would have been fine because they had the bag there in a different color. They just lost another customer for life over $20 ! read more

Too bad we cant give zeros!! Regional manager needs to check this place !! Past few visits were terrible. Salesman not behind ammo counter, instead hes playing basketball!! Another visit, tired to see if they ammo, salesman said they are all out, but for a small fee he would send me a text when shipment comes. Even worse for ten bucks he would save me a box! Deserves 0 stars!! This is the worst location to go! The staff is no help at all! You walk in and are not greeted or asked if you need assistance! I had a terrible experience here. While returning merchandise, the cashier shorted me $20 and when I went back to claim my money they made me wait for 30 minutes just standing there in the middle of the store just to tell me that they were not going to return my money! They were absolutely no help at all! As if it was my fault they hire incompetent people that can't do basic math! I will never step foot in this place again! I would definitely make the drive to Germantown! Or just switch stores completely and go to sports authority where they actually care about the customer and at least show them some respect! read more

We went to four stores looking for shoes my daughter needed for her trip to Disney World with her high school band. We found them at Dicks but not in her size. We ordered them from the store on Saturday and paid $20 for two-day shipping so she would have them by Wednesday, the day the bus was leaving. On Wednesday, when we hadn't received them, I used the UPS tracking on the receipt and found they had not shipped until Tuesday. The tracking showed Dicks had them ready for shipping but UPS didn't get it until Tuesday. When I called Dick's customer service, I was told she would remove the $20 but I should pay more attention next time to how two-day shipping works and that Wednesday would be two days. I told her the tracking shows it was ready for UPS on Sunday but UPS didn't begin the shipping process until Tuesday. Where was it on Monday? She said she can't speak for why UPS sat on it for a day. I called UPS and they said the shipper (Dicks) did not get the package to them until Tuesday to ship. So Dick's customer service was wrong. UPS looked it up and said I should have received it Tuesday had the shipper properly shipped it Monday as it was ready, but just failed to get to UPS. It irks me that customer service told me to pay better attention to how the shipping works when they were the ones that were wrong. And the credit of the $20 shipping was treated as a big "favor" to me. I'm just hoping we have the shoes by the time my daughter's bus leaves at 4:00 today. Very rude employees. I called to get my bike serviced. The bike tech was soo rude and I could not understand him. Evidently, don't buy a certain type of bike because they will not service it. read more
