I asked if he would help me instead of her and he did. He needs to be in charge of this section since he know what professionalism and hospitality means. We received very poor service at DICK'S in Kennesaw, Georgia today. We have a 162.00 credit on DICK'S Credit card. We went into the store to buy a pair of shoes. We did not have our credit card with us and were told they could look up our account with our phone number, ID, and SSN. We gave them the information and they could find our account. We went home and got our bill showing account number And took it back to the store. They still could not locate the account even with the number. The manager refused to come and talk with us and to provide any help. We went to our car, called the phone number on the credit card statement and they are mailing us a check for the credit. It is a shameful that the manager refused to even speak with us today. read more

Social distancing and masks are required. This is a really neat and clean sporting good store. The employees all speak to you, and if needed they are there to assist you with your selection. My son is starting boxing training, so he needed some items for practice. You will find anything here from footballs to golf clubs. I will definitely be back to shop for myself. read more

After a surprisingly awful experience, using the Nike app to purchase some trainers, I decided to go brick and mortar, visiting this Dick's Sporting Goods location. I visited this store, some years ago and the service was poor. Just being honest. However, I decided to stop in today and WOW, what a difference! One of the associates ("Ron"?), greeted me straight away. That is not usual in today's retail setting, so I was impressed. I mentioned what I was looking for and without a huff, genuinely enthusiastic, Ron brought out trainers for me to try on. Unfortunately for me, I have WIIIIDE feet (Thanks Dad...), so nothing presented to me quite fit. No problem, Ron went on the company website and found my trainers in the width that I needed and I wound up purchasing them on line. I also purchased an additional pair, based on our conversation about other trainers that we looked at. I cannot say that my experience at this store is/was typical but based on Ron's service, I was certainly impressed. Enough to buy TWO pairs of trainers, when I initially came in for ONE. read more

Dick's is not a sporting goods store anymore. It a sports apparel store. No guns, no ammo, no hunting knives, no bowling and no fishing tackle. They have golfing, baseball and football equipment in a very small portion of the store. The rest is clothes. Im going to Pro Bass from now on. read more

This is the absolute worst and junkiest DSG I have ever been to! Selection is nonexistent, variety is extinct and the usual items that I always rely on DSG for are nowhere to be found at this location! Men's Nike training selection is dismal, Men's UA selection is terrible and so disorganized (worse than an outlet store on Christmas Eve) and the staff all sloppily rove around the store talking on their mobile phones pretending not to work there. Daughter had a volleyball tournament in the area. Went to this store to get a sweatshirt because I didn't pack clothes for cold weather. The associate I dealt with on Friday night was great. Asked if I could return clearance items if they didn't fit. Sure no problem. Gave me a military discount when asked. Went back the next morning to exchange a shirt and return a sweatshirt. Jimmy who checked me out this morning was rude and would not stop asking about a store credit card. I said no, no need to ask again. Well why not, you look like you shop here a lot. Don't want to open a credit card!!! End of story. Asked if I got the military discount like I did yesterday. Laughed at me and said we don't do that. Good job Jimmy. Been here a couple of times since it opened and found the staff not terribly helpful. But on the second trip we found the stock not very helpful either. Specifically, we needed some swim gear for exercise classes. But it turns out that over Labor Day Dicks did away with most of its swim gear "because summer is over" according to one staffer. Wow. Apparently little thought was given to those who may be swimming for exercise year-round or who might happen to be on swim teams in the metro area. We found this a curious concept at a sporting goods store, and we left unhappy. We'll look elsewhere for our needs, perhaps Sports Authority which seems to carry a more consistent and apparently larger stock. read more

Okay Nate from Bicycle section is helpful, but he also lost our bike! We bought two bike from them, something went wrong the first night. The gear changer dropped in the back wheel. Within first month, we took our bikes back 3 times, yes we do have the warranty. In late May, we brought in our bike again, that was the 4th time, since purchased in late April. Nate was able to fix my wife's bike that day, my can't be fixed the same day. As matter of fact it will take maybe 10 days. We left the country for 45 days, came back found out my bike is missing. Manager told us we had to wait til Nate come back to work. He wont be back until Saturday, so we had to wait a week. On the sat, when Nate was working, we visited him, he remembers it, but still can't find it. Now the manager said they need to check the security tape. Two weeks passed by, no one followed up with us. We called, here are their response " we are still checking the security tape" I worked in retail for almost 10 years, it takes literally 10 minutes to view security tape, not sure what type of golden tape they are looking for! Will never go back to Dick's Sporting Goods again! I wish I could give them 0 Star read more

This is the Dicks location I visit the most. Only reason being is for location. I work across the street and I live within 15-20 minute drive on the weekends. This place has a decent amount of inventory but not a large amount of selection compared to other locations nearby in Sandy Springs and Buford. Service is okay, not terrible, not great. Its your average decent Dicks Location. But if you want a larger selection go to Sandy Springs or Buford. read more

Wow, I'm glad I didn't read the other reviews or I might have never come here. My experiences definitely haven't been like the others. The first time I visited it was to check out the bikes. The guy in the bike department was super helpful and patient with my husband's 8 million questions. And since I normally shop at Sports Authority in Duluth for my activewear, I was blown away by how nice Dick's is and the selection! I wandered around for the longest that first time. I've now been back a few times - once to pick up the bike we ordered online and had built in the store and another time to get some gear. Each time I've gotten decent service and I can't be mad at the selection! My only issue with Dick's is their ridiculous exclusions on their coupons. They exclude virtually every name brand anyone would ever want to purchase, so the coupons are damn near useless. But that's not this store's fault, that's obviously a corporate issue. read more

So I went to Dick's on a limb to buy a Mountain Bike. Probably the absolute worst experience of my life. First bike had the wrong price on it. ($300 difference!)Second bike had a messed up chain. Third bike was not what I wanted but was willing to settle. However, Nicole and Chris literally made my day so much better. They were seriously great even when it was time to get off. They easily could've went on about their day and just brushed me off as another irritated customer. They turned the whole game around and even gave me a discount for everything that happened. Honestly the world needs more good people that can weather through the troubles and keep a smile while doing it. Great job guys and I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. This Dick's sporting store's employee were very nice! I called in to reserve my fitbit HR and they were fast and efficient. Service was definitely friendly and they got me and out in a very timely manner. It also help that they weren't that busy. This Dick's is also not as big as the one I usually go to (The Mall of GA one) and so it's not as busy. After I purchased my fitbit, I did walk around the store a bit and I stopped by the fishing rod department. Their fishing rods selection at this store weren't that big compare to other, but like I say this Dick's isn't that big, so keep in mind. If you would like bigger selection and such, I would suggest you go to bigger Dick's Sporting Goods. read more

Bought a $29 kayak paddle (along with $250 in other merchandise) and tried to return it today, less than 30 days after the purchase, with a receipt. I was told the paddle was "not in resellable condition", and the "Coach" for the store refused to take it back. I had torn the sticker with the price on it trying to remove it, unsuccessfully, since it was a gift. I explained that. I also explained it hadn't been used. I also stated that if it was "not in resellable condition", it must have been sold to me that way. The person I was giving it to as a gift (his broke while I was borrowing it) already had another paddle. I did not scrutinize the condition of the paddle when I bought it. The store manager AKA "the store Coach" couldn't have not been more un-helpful and un-customer oriented. They lost a good customer, I won't be back. read more

I've been to the Dick's Sporting Goods Store twice. Both times the staff has been very helpful. The first time was to get items for a child on a Wish Tree in December. Not only did the sales person make a great suggestion, she helped me sort through all the boxes to find the correct size based on the shoe size I was given. The second time was earlier today. I'm shopping for a bike to ride back and forth to work. After browsing through the selection for a couple of minutes I was approached by Andrew Norris. He asked appropriate questions in order to help select a bike that would suit my needs. He talked about the pros and cons of various bikes. As they did not have the size I was looking for, he mentioned I could get it online and they would assemble it for me. He mentioned the extended service plan and how it worked. After I checked online, I discovered that the bike I was looking for was not available so I called back and he not only tracked down the bike I wanted at another location, but also made arrangements to have it transferred to his store so I could pick it up there. For the amount of time and energy he put into the sale, you would think he was working on commission, but I believe they do not. I could find the bike through amazon for about $40.00 less but then I would have to pay for assembly ($100). I'm confident if anything goes wrong, Dick's will take care of it plus I like supporting local stores and people. read more

i bought my bike at this store. the guy who sold and repaired my bike is named jeffrey. when we first went to make a purchase, we noticed jeffrey had a bit of an attitude and was not engaging at all. he made us wait around while he worked on a bike before approached us. we asked him several times if he could help us and each time he told us to wait. i wish at the very least he could have given us an estimated time of waiting. we waited for over 20 minutes. i picked out a bike, i was happy. forget about the bad customer service. went home. a week and a half later, i brought it back to jeffrey for some minor repair. i returned a few days later to pick it up. jeffrey wasn't there and another worker was there to help us. he walked back and forth along the racks of aisles and couldn't find my bike. i thought it was a little strange and when 10-15 minutes of searching had passed, i started to feel a sense of dread. the guy goes to the back to make a call to jeffrey. comes back. still can't find the bike. finally he tells us, "um. i think it accidentally got sold." what? how does this happen? is this real? i thought he was joking at first. but he felt that was the only logical explanation. i was pretty upset to say the least. i expected this to be a short visit to pick up my bike, but i ended up being at the store for 40 minutes. i did appreciate that the worker was extremely apologetic and admitted it was "pretty messed up." he offered me any new bike and a gift card. i think that was the right thing to do, however this does not excuse the fact that they LOST/SOLD my bike! skimming through the other reviews, i notice another reviewer had the same experience as me and i can't believe that this location has lost a bike on multiple occasions. read more

I ordered a jersey online and discovered a defect upon it's arrival. Nonetheless, I wasn't worried because I figured that I could exchange it at my local Dick's Sporting Goods location. When I went to the store and realized that there wasn't another jersey in stock, I approached the staff and asked if it would be possible to return the jersey and have them order a new one for me, as the jersey is still available online. Not only did the staff seem genuinely confused by this simple request (which almost every other retail store does routinely), but they also refused to order another one. While I was able to get my money back, I now have no jersey, lost out on the money I saved during tax weekend and the $10 Dick's discount, and a negative opinion about this Dick's Sporting Goods location. I'd advise people to drive a little further or consider another store rather than being forced to deal with these incompetent individuals. read more
