While out shopping, I decided to stop in and look for a pair of socks. I didn't pack enough for the trip and this store has a great selection of everything. Once inside, I could have walked around all day, the AC was set just right and the store has so many items to browse. I came across Bombas socks almost immediately, and checked out the huge selection of sneakers, Brooks, Nike, Hoka, Adidas, New Balance, all the best brands. They have running, field, court, basketball and golf shoes. Their selection of T-shirts and sportswear is just as good. They have sales, so it's a great opportunity to save money on top sportswear brands. The store is clean, the employees are helpful and friendly and I enjoyed my time here. This is a great place to stop by and it's located at the Crossroads shopping center. read more

I had a great experience at this Dick's location. The employees were very friendly, were able to answer all of my questions and provided great customer service to my entire family. There was a great selection of tumblers, and woman's clothing which I went to this location for. I felt like the prices were reasonable for the brands. This store was also very clean and organized. My wife and I were camping in the Prescott area and forgot our Thermacell Lanterns at home. I honestly don't care for Dick's Sporting Goods because of their outrageous prices. I came here because none of the other local sporting goods stores carried Thermacells. I'll give them 2-stars because they had the product in stock and after asking three employees, the last one finally knew what I was talking about. Price of Thermacell at Dicks was a few percent over MSRP just like most of their inventory. I'm guessing their overhead is fairly high as any of their locations charge above and beyond MSRP. Even their "sales" aren't really sales. Like I said, I only came here because I needed a Thermacell. The girl running the cash registered was terribly inconvenienced that I had to purchase an item and interrupt whatever-the-hell-it-was-she-was-pretending-to-do. Their policy with no receipt is to give you the "lowest" selling price on the item exchanged and the full price for the larger size. You lose about 50% of the price. Ive been looking for kayak(s) for a few weeks now, and had a hard time of it. Decided to head to Prescott to hit up Dicks and see what they had to offer. There were two of the same kayak that were exactly what i was looking for, but neither of them had prices! I looked at the PFDs for a bit, until Matthew came up and asked if he could help me find anything. I asked if he could look up the price on the kayaks, and then misheard the price he quoted me. He repeated himself (to the tune of $100 less that what i had heard!) and i was sold on both of them! We pulled them down off the racks to see if they would stack so i could fit them on my car. He helped me choose some foam pads, ratchet straps, and a couple paddles, then helped me carry all the stuff up to the front. Got everything all rung up with the help of ?michael? I forget his name, sorry bud, and then Matthew helped carry everything out to my car! I had to strap the two kayaks to each other, get the foam all situated and lay the other straps out, but when i got there Matthew came back out into the parking lot and helped life the kayaks up onto the roof of my car! Poor selection for hunters, ammunition choices very narrow. No specialized loads. When Walmart has a better selection, it looks bad for a store calling itself "Sporting Goods"! Not everyone is into basketball and soccer, at least not in the area we are in. Maybe try to get bette fishing stuff. read more

I called the Dick's Sporting Goods in Prescott Valley Arizona to see if I could purchase a golf grip and have them installed. They said that I could and I decided to drive over. Once I got to the store I went to the sporting department and found out that they had six bins of golf grips however the bins were all empty. And assistant came to help me and I told him that I had called because I wanted to buy a grip and have it installed and he said he was sorry there must have been a miscommunication. I told him that I was very disappointed since I had called and they could have easily told me that there were no grips in stock. He said yeah he totally understood and that there really was no excuse. I was very disappointed just left the store, I will not be doing any more shopping at Dicks. read more

I was pretty hesitant going to this store due to the firearms policy, but I was desperate to get my daughter measured up for catching gear and big 5 was out of half of what we wanted to look at. I was not disappointed at all when I came here. At first it was confusing because the softball and baseball are in one little area without any real distinction of which is which. Athena saw we were a little lost and came to the rescue. She knew we were there to just get sizes to send off to her real dad, but this lady was phenomenal. She was climbing up ladders to get down some catching gear, she was digging in the back for the next size up, she broke down the differences between an alloy, composite, and a mixture of the two kinds of bats. We weren't even shopping for bats, but I told her my kid dented the crap out of her easton bat. She was very informative, sharply dressed, professional, and very easy to speak with. She had no issue at all to jump in and help. This lady deserves a raise and/or a promotion cause damn. If I need sports help I will only deal with her from now on. read more

My faith in humanity was restored because of the customer service I received at this store. Ok, maybe that's a little extreme, but I went in with an expectation of what has saddly become more the norm than not, which is mediocre or non-existent customer service. But alas... I was happily proven wrong in my assumption! Shout out to Athena, who was the employee that greeted me and my desperate face upon entering the store for the second visit in a 24 hr period. The first time around, I purchased some insanely expensive football cleats for my son. Having not yet ever played football, we got what he thought looked best, low tops. Fast forward to the very next day, and we realize he needs high tops for the ankle support.... only I threw away the shoe box that very morning, and he had worn them for a 2 hr practice. I did have my receipt though, and a desperate plea to be allowed to exchange them. As I said before, I figured I'd be told the standard, "sorry, we can't help you, you've worn them". I would have accepted that, it is true afterall. But I was hoping someone would feel my pain of having spent so much money on something my son couldn't use, and sympathize with my situation. Athena was that person! She heard my cry, pondered it, and said "we will have to damage them out, but I totally understand and as long as you have your receipt, I'll let you do an exchange." MUSIC TO MY EARS, and she saved me from eating a lot of $$$. Thank you Athena for being a shining star and reminding me that there is still the "exception to every rule for the right reason" mentality in the work place. Went to this store to get a pair of shoes. I walked by two store employees who were to busy socializing with each other to help me. After some time, I found the shoes I was looking for, but it was a very limited selection and not what the Internet showed they had. I went to check out and there was only one clerk doing check out even with people waiting. Management better wake up and pay attention what their employees are doing, better yet, not taking care of customers. I will look others places and will only shop here a a last resort. read more

I walked into the store with my family and the first thing I saw and heard was the Manager at the time cussing and yelling at his employee in front of the customers. He did not care. That manager had one of the dirtiest mouths I have ever heard. I never plan on going back there. The service sucked. No one wanted to help me.
