Razan, the employee there, seemed annoyed when we were asking for shoe sizes. I was discussing it with my husband, saying that we had driven all the way there and they didn't have anything available. She then interrupted our conversation, saying, "You should have called." Her attitude was quite sassy .I couldn't help but wonder who she thought she was speaking to. They really need to train her on how to interact with customers. She just left us hanging there, and never came back. Since there wasn't anyone else available to assist, we decided to leave. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon first time here so we looked around for a bit & found a pair of socks for my 5yr old . We were the only customers in there & there were two girls at the register. The socks had a sticker for $7.99 took them for ever to scan them & they even asked if there was more of that item? I said yes there's a full wall .. after them checking I was charged $12.99 so I asked why was I charged that price if the sticker said otherwise? The girl responded saying I must have gotten them from the 50% off bin?? Okaaaay? We just visited this soccer store for my son that is 5 and starting soccer this month and we're very happy with the experience l! The guy that greeted us was able to assist with getting cleats for him and the girl working (name unknown) was very nice and helpful getting all of his other gear! They have all ages of gear and plenty of different size soccer balls and gear. Their prices are amazing as well! We got him cleats, soccer practice goals, shin guards, socks, shorts and a ball all for $120!!! We will be coming here in the future for any other soccer needs and highly suggest you going also! Great local shop that has a crazy amount of gear for the avid soccer fan and or player! We were in the area for something non-sports related, but because my middle son had recently started playing flag football. And was in need of some new cleats we decided to stop in and see what they're selection looked like. With growing up playing soccer and my years of experience wearing soccer cleats. Plus knowing more and more football players of all experience levels, switching to soccer style cleats for their versatility, comfort, and flashy colors. I knew soccer Soccer City and Rugby would be the perfect place to find something that he was looking for. But with not coming to this location in like 20 years and since it was more of a baseball location, I was really surprised at the large selection of soccer apparel that was available. When you first walk in you'll immediately see the large array of national and international soccer jerseys all across the rafter area, with many of your favorite player's jerseys (Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, etc) being available. BUT I was most surprised at the crazy selection of soccer cleats. Take take a look at my pictures w/this review and you'll see what I mean. Adidas, Nike, Diadora, Puma, Reebok, Kappa, you know it...and they probably have it. And if they don't they can order it and have it shipped to the store for you. And what was also cool about their cleat selection is that they had for many the 3 different versions that are available. From the basic version for most younger soccer players, to the more advance player, to even having the professional version of the same cleats. Whether you're a soccer, football or even sneaker head. You'll respect the wide variety available and in all of the crazy colors! I had so much fun going through the cleats with my middle son who was getting a new pair, and my youngest who wants to follow in his footsteps. So we were showing each other what shoes we thought were color, and there were asking me my opinion on this and that cleat and I was explaining the different between each. Pretty much everything you can think of soccer wise they have, jerseys, cleats, soccer balls, training equipment, spectating equipment, and an array of fan apparel and gear. Soccer City has made an effort to become better with selection and customer service in recent years. As you can read from the other reviews, spotty customer service has in fact been the main downside. I'm happy now to update the review to 4 stars as a result of my experiences in the last few months. Here's the pros: * The only store in the Elk Grove area that has everything you need for soccer including a wide selection: Cleats (indoor and outdoor), Socks, Shin Guards, Shorts, Shirts, and Balls. * They match online price. In fact, I've found that Soccer City's prices are often lower than what I was able to find from credible online stores. * I have special ordered cleats from them and the items was delivered fast & accurately. * They now have knowledgeable and friendly staff that have or has played soccer. Room for improvement: * I wished they had a larger store, I feel claustrophobic with all the selection and wished it was spread out more. * Their hours are limited as with most specialty stores - make sure to call ahead of time. read more

They act really nice and helpful . I was told that I could return the product which was brand new and never used . The owner sent several emails basically bullying me to tell him why he should accept my return . I even offered to market his business for fee if he showed good customer service and returned the new product I purchased less than a week ago I will never go there again . I notice older poor reviews, and a couple of years ago I might have agreed with them. But, now they have very friendly, bright, young people helping customers. They are experienced soccer players, so they can relate to your needs. We enjoy going there and looking for the soccer gear we need; recently went twice for shoes and gear for two grandsons that just started playing for the same club that my son played for, and that I coached for. Customer service and return policy = not at this store! I read the yelp reviews before shopping at Soccer City in Elk Grove and found the one star ratings to be true. You can tell they've had issues regarding their return policy because they have posted signs all over the store. I bought a pair of soccer shoes for my daughter and while the unfriendly clerk with zero personality processed the transaction, we noticed another pair of shoes at her counter we liked better. Believe it or not, but the clerk was actually reluctant to give us a return and exchange for this other pair of shoes.... after only 30 seconds of completing the first transaction! She even misquoted her own return policy so I had to read, in English, what the home made sign tapped to her register actually said. What a joke. I recommend shopping for soccer gear at a different store or the Internet. read more

It's now June 2017, 6 months later & I get a call from KC at Soccer City telling me I have a name & number set paid in full & to bring in my jersey to have it printed. I bought the jersey in December 2016 as a Christmas gift for my niece. Do I need to say more? Great selection of cleats for my daughter who is between sizes in cleats and shin guard. Able to educate us regarding the proper fitting for her, especially regarding the guards and took the time vs just directing us to the shin guards on the wall. A little pricy but they did have some less expensive ones available as well. Will definitely return. We did not have to pay to try on cleats nor have we ever over the years for my son. read more

I was a bit hesitant to come here after reading all the reviews but I waited until the last minute to purchase some cleats, shin guards, and soccer shorts for my son's soccer league and this was the only store still open after I couldn't find anything his size at Dick's Sporting Goods. The store has a very large inventory and we were greeted and assisted right away. The guy helping us was very nice and gave us good suggestions to save us some money. I'm glad we gave this place a chance. It looks like they're expanding their store too so it'll be exciting to see what else they'll offer. read more

My daughter starts her first season of soccer this year. We absolutely knew nothing of what we were doing. The gentleman that helped us tried her shoes on her made sure they fit and the shin guards too. They have a deal going on cleats shin guards and ball for 34.95. she wanted a ball that was $2.75 more than what the deal was so we just paid the 2.75 extra. This is the best experience in shopping for any shoes that I have ever had. I also brought my 7 year old twins with me and while working with my daughter he engaged with conversation with my twins too. To me that is worth 10 stars. read more

I bought Nike soccer boots in April that were over two years which became extremely important. I bought them at full price for a total $317 after tax. The boots were defective and when I went back the store they told me they could not help me and to reach out to Nike. Nike recognizes they were defective but because they were manufactured more than 2 years ago, they could not help and to go back to the store. I went back to the store and they are trying to hide behind their receipt policy even though I can show using my credit card statement that I bought them there. Horrible customer service and completely unhelpful group of people. I am committed to support the local businesses but when they do not support the consumer, I have to go where I can get the customer service that creates loyalty. Soccer.com will get my business from now on. After pulling my credit card statement I spent almost $2k at that store this year. Sad to see the local businesses not support the local consumers. Terrible customer service & inadequate products!!! I bought goalie gloves for my daughter that broke the first game she used them. I called the store to see if they would rectify this and provide her a replacement pair. I was told on the phone that if I came into the store they'd take care of it. I brought the gloves in and was told they won't help me. The gloves were only $12 and what disturbed and insulted me the most is that they treated me like a criminal over $12 goalie gloves AFTER they assured me on the phone they would make it right. While I can afford new gloves, the principle of the matter is what is most upsetting. Not only did they LIE to me, they treated me so poorly that after 5 years of loyally buying my daughter's soccer supplies from them, I refuse to ever shop there again! read more
