Well organized, clean, stocked sporting goods store. This is 1 of my favorite Dicks locations due to the inventory availability and product selection. I prefer Dicks sporting goods over Big 5 because of selection, brand products but most importantly they price match. I also shop at the Terra nova location in Chula Vista location but it's not as stocked as this location. This particular store Is continually stocked and offer a vast variety of Battle, Under Armor and Nike football products. Staff here is friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. Price Match!!! Spent 30 minutes shopping only to be told I could not try on my shirts because it was 15 minutes to close. Doesn't take 15 minutes to try on a few shirts. Ended up going to Marshall's and getting pro golf shirts for $17 a piece instead of $55-95. Thank you Dicks for having a stupid policy. I placed the set of shirts I had gathered down on a table on my way out so no time was saved on their part, just lost sales. Someone in the back was nice when I asked a question and they have a large selection but prices are rough and policies are weak. read more

Came in for shoes. They have a cool iPad to scan shoes on - seems like a good idea. Took about 20 mins for 1st pair of shoes to arrive. Requested a different size that showed as stock in store , but seems the inventory was off. Understood, but close to 30 minutes to attempt to try on 2 pairs of shoes. read more

The store is pretty unorganized. The employees are hard to find when you need them. It's almost like they intentionally try to stay away from customers. Almost everything is expensive and it seems like they very rarely have sales unless it's really old products. The only thing that seems stocked up all the time is Nike and camping stuff. This used to be a great store with great Customer Service. However today was a horrible experience. I was ignored for at least 25 minutes as other customers who came into the Men's Sneaker area after me were attended to and asked if they needed help. I am a professional man and a Navy Veteran. Did I mention that every customer that came in after me was caucasian and I am an African American man. When I asked to speak to a Store Manager and told her about my experience she basically told me that what I had just experienced was not what it was. I was disappointed by the poor help. I asked to try something on and right next to the dressing room was a pile of dust, dirt, trash that had been pushed with a large broom. Just sitting there. There were 2 sales clerks and they were more interested in talking to one another than cleaning up. I went inside the dressing room and it was dirty. The floor had looked like it had not been cleaned for weeks. I was so disappointed. When I asked to be put in another dressing room. She looked very annoyed. My whole experience was bad. First let me state that we've been avid customers of Dick's Sporting Goods for the past 5-6 years, so this review wasn't easy to make. However, we went into this location yesterday to make a quick return and check out some softball bats. My husband was given a 15% off coupon, good for 3 hours after having made the return. We proceeded to check out the bats and found 3 that my daughter wanted to check out, 2 of which were DeMarini CF Zen 10s. My daughter tried all 3 out and was happy with one of the DeMarini's. When it was time to pay, the cashier gave us the total which was for the regular price, not the advertised price of $249.99. My husband stated to her that the bat was advertised on sale for $249.99 and not the regular price of $349.99. She went to check out which spot the bat was in and came back with a lame excuse that the ADVERTISED PRICE was for the DeMarini CF Zen 10, 2019 and the one we wanted to purchase was for the 2020 model?? Both bats were hanging on the same rack when we first asked to see them, both regular priced at $349.99. Of course, this was almost laughable since the tag does not differentiate between the models, NO item number, NO barcode, nothing to let the consumer know which "item" the sale price applies to. The advertisement CLEARLY states "SAVE DeMarini CF Zen- 10 Fastpitch BAT $249.99 save $100, original $349.99. So naturally he asked to speak to the store manager which was of absolutely no help. Ashley, I believe was her name was fed the information through her headset and repeated it as told. She didn't even attempt to make the situation right, she said her little spiel and walked away. I will be filing a consumer complaint through the BBB, as this I believe is some type of false or deceptive advertising situation. I don't believe Dick Stack would be happy with the representation portrayed at this location by his staff. Like other brick and mortar stores this one won't be around much longer, sad. We'll take our business to another store where they won't BS about their "SALE" prices! Here's a recommendation: STATE CLEARY WHICH ITEM THE "SALE" APPLIES TO! I came in around 10:00am this morning looking for some boots for work. I dug through what I could find, tried some on, but no one ever even said hello to me much less helped me... in the shoe department. I've worked sporting goods. Even if there's no other employee in the store, there's always someone at the register and in the shoe department. I ended up leaving without any boots and heading to Skechers in PB where I found what I needed. I love Dick's and shop here regularly, but the service today, or lack of it, was awful. read more

This location is prime. The strip center has all prime shopping in it. The parking is great and easy in and out access in a area that can be busy. The staff was present unlike some locations. I was in the shoe location and there were 2-3 employees to help right away. Hard to find girls Sperry boat shoes in California--- they have several to pick from! This 5 star rating is for Daniel and only for Daniel. I have gone into Dicks Sporting Goods a few times in need of shoes. Every time without fail I end up waiting an ungodly amount of time to be helped. I have had to play dead on the floor to get an employee to even look at me. This was not the case with Daniel. Stopped in for a pair of Nike's I fell in love with online. Was not at all happy with they way they fit and didn't want to spend $150 on a shoe I'd never wear! Was helped by 5 different people in the shoe department that were all extremely helpful!! The place was packed and I was surprised at how efficient they were despite the high demands. While there I tried on more than 7 pairs and just wasn't liking them. Not Dick's fault just turns out I am too picky and hate shoe shopping! I felt bad that I didn't buy anything after having them bring out and take away so many but at least I get to help them in getting their reviews up since I had a great experience! read more

The 3rd party vendor that Dick's uses is terrible. it takes them weeks to do a delivery and set up of a treadmill. Dick's appears helpless to intervene and get deliveries expedited. I've been shopping at Dicks for years. Last week I bought a pair of Jordans for my son and he wore them once and they ripped on the side and he said they were uncomfortable to wear and were looser on the right foot so I tried to return them today and the manager said they won't return them once they have been worn and that the sole would need to be falling off. My son only wore them once and didn't know they were defective until AFTER they were worn!! Yea they had a scuff and some grass on them because he plays football!!! The manager didn't help me right away and continued to take other customers and I heard him say he didn't know what was going on! Merchandise in Sports Medicine was scattered about, miss labeled and unstoppable, and not just one item the entire section. I went to footwear department (which is full service) and there was not one associate to assist the four different customers in the department. A couple customers had to go to front to find help. I witnessed two managers walk by as I asked for help and they continued to walk bye and pay no attention to me. The lack of knowledge of a brand that the store carried (2XU) and the availability of said brand was absurd. If your a sport store you should have a focus of performance type gear. When I was able to finally speak to an associate I had mentioned that I witnessed two managers pay no attention to me as I asked for help and he said and I quote "and this is why I hate working here!" The lack of attentiveness the managers show flows down to the associates and they put off the same attitude. This store used to be much better and I don't know what happened but it has gone down hill very bad. As I checked out there ended up being another customer come up front to ask for help in the shoe department and she was carrying a display shoe. Luckily for you this is the only sports store in the area so most people do have a choice but to shop here. read more

I came to get some Addidas running shoes. I already knew the style I wanted, I just needed to try them on and figure out what size I would be. No one came up to help me, so I had to track down a worker. He brought the sizes I asked for, but he never came back to check if the shoes fit, or if I needed a different size. I had to end up tracking down a different worker to get another size. I would not come back to purchase shoes here again. Have you ever been to a Dick's Sporting Goods before.... Anywhere in the country. Well, it's exactly like that. They have a large selection of clothes for various sporting needs as well as footwear and hunting and fishing equipment, etc. this location is smaller than the one I usually visit that is near my parents (but that is a two story monstrosity..... Can I interest you in a Crossbow? How about a kayak? anyone? Crossbow for use in a kayak?) This trip was to buy some clothes for the gym. Warning. The clothes is NOT cheap, but they have all the top brands (Under Armor, Nike, North Face, Reebok, etc) and that's what my friend was looking for. Standard practice for me is to look through my email then the coupon sites for deals. So I found one from one of the major coupon sites. Well Don't try to look up a coupon to use here. They won't take it even is it is valid. I didn't see t posted any where but the cashier would not take our measly 20% of a single apparel item coupon. . The reasoning, it messes up their accounting at the end of the day. Why? It is a valid coupon is it not? Yes. But I came use it because??? Get with the program. People look up coupons. I get it if it's not valid, but this was from the major coupon sites not just a google image search. That $6 the store saved on our $130 clothes bill, I hope it was worth it, because that $6 will make me go to a competitor next time. read more

I had the worst experience you can possibly have! I went to the store for a $80volleyball . in the website it said they had it! I go in and it's not on the floor. I ask the cashier for help she confirms they had 8 of then in store then a guy comes and brings the wrong ball. then he gets back and suddenly he's actually help the cashier instead of helping me. Five stars all around. I came in to make an exchange after an online purchase I had made. I had no idea where to find my items, but Krystal found me and was most helpful! She walked around with me to find all of my items and even pointed out ones that I might like. After her help she checked me out at the register since she understood my situation and applied a coupon for me. Somehow I ended up purchasing way more and not paying another dime. I also have to mention that Roger, one of the managers, is outstanding. He helped Krystal when she was stumped at one point. You could really tell that they were all a team. Wow! I've never been in here and ran in on Saturday morning, just after opening on a mission. A mission to find something for a 1yr old's birthday gift. I found a mini pig-skin and mini soccer ball, but $9.99 each. They had no clothes for little ones, but as I zoomed through the store looking I was really amazed at all they did have. Fishing gear, hunting gear, soccer, football, golf, tennis, bad-mitten, beach sports, etc. They had a decent clothes selection and just like all sporting goods places it was all over priced, in my opinion. The line moved really quick and the staff on the floor were really helpful. I'd go back. read more
