BORING? I don't know about you, but Temecula's DICK's Sporting Goods is very underwhelming. They seem to only cater to middle-aged housewives who are "athletes", the female clientele gave me off-vibes. I didn't feel very welcomed and there were quite a few Karen-type old ladies too. Dick's focus is clothing over everything else. I was expecting more equipment, diverse sports selection (hockey, pickleball), and jerseys. The merch was super generic and only tailored to a handful of sports (baseball, basketball, jogging). They didn't even have a good selection of sporty shoes. I'll praise Dick's for being very organized and clean. I thought the store was super convenient and items (clothes) were easy to find. If you're a runner or Pilates girl, you'll like this store. How were the prices? I thought they were average, finding shoes would be cheaper and more beneficial elsewhere (and you'll find a better variety).

I go to the Dick's Sporting Goods in Temecula frequent enough that my last visit concerns me. I bought a pair of DSG leggings that were priced at $40.00 according to the tag that was attached. I know they were not on sale so I knew I was paying full price, which doesn't concern me. What bothers me is that my total bill, for one pair of leggings that was supposed to be $40.00 plus tax, was $49.04 ... Did sales tax go up? I don't think so. I think they charge a different price for items, even though the tag says different. Buyers beware!! I'll attach a picture of my emailed receipt for the one item, as well as a picture of the price tag attached to the leggings that I purchased. This experience has me questioning every single one of my past purchases. My son played football in highschool and we had to frequent Dick's Sporting Goods for items during the season. Did we over pay every time??? I hope that everyone watches every single scan of every single item they are purchasing. This is NOT okay. With California Sales Tax being 8.25% as of this review, my grand total should have been $43.50 out the door. That is more than what I was charged. I wonder if anyone from Dick's Sporting Goods would care to explain... Is this happening to anyone else? Do we need to review all of our past purchases, and if so, how far back?!? This screams "class action" if you ask me. Anyone else have a similar experience??

Don't buy any fishing rod or reels from Turner's Outdoorsman in Temecula. They seem to be selling…read moredefective rod and reels. They don't honor their warranties and when they do honor a warranty, be prepared for a bait and switch once you get to the register. I recently purchased a Shimano Speedmaster 20 fishing reel. The Shimano Speedmaster 20 reel started going in reverse just after the first use. I took it back to Turners and they said that there is nothing they could do because I used the reel. Of course I plan to use a fishing reel if I buy a fishing reel. What I am not expecting is for the fishing reel to fail after the first use. I explained this to the rep at Turner's and he said ok, they will honor the warranty. He said that they did not have the Speedmaster 20 reel in stock though, but would allow me to exchange to the Speedmaster 25 for $40 more. Sounds like a good deal, right? Ok, he tells me to head over to the cash register for the exchange. I get to the cash register and waiting in line. Finally they get to me and now the price is $180 for the exchange. The rep gives me some kind of excuse that he messed up in the pricing when he quoted me $40 more. My next experience with Turner's Outdoorsman in Temecula was when purchasing my first Blue Fin tuna rod. The sales rep Eric at the time, said he has a good deal for me and spoke about the amazing lifetime warranty offered by their Californian 60-130lb fishing rail rod. I examined the rod and the soft foam grip at the lower part of the rod. The soft foam grip seemed like a concern to me. He assured me that the Californian fishing rods are backed by their amazing lifetime warranty, and just bring it in for exchange if there is an issue. Eric convinced me to proceed with the purchase. One fishing trip later and I notice that the lower foam grip is splitting and breaking apart. The butt cap or protective end piece is also splitting. I took the fishing rod back to Turner's and Mason says he needs to call the dealer for those rods. Mason comes back and says, "good news, the dealer will honor the warranty and let you exchange the fishing rod". Mason locates me a Californian 60-130lb rod and says to head over the cash register for the exchange. I walk to the cash register and wait in line. My turn comes and Mason says, "Oh sorry, by exchange I mean that we have to charge you now half price for the fishing rod. The cost is $130". Just another bait and switch experience from Turner's Outdoorsman in Temecula. Not sure if they practice this, but Mason sure does have the bait and switch tactic down. Delay with key information on what an exchange means. Tells me to go to the register to complete the exchange and then pressures me at the cash register with the $130 up charge. Tells me that a lifetime warranty only covers the rod blank. However, pre-sale they will certainly assure you that you're in good hands with their amazing lifetime warranty on their Californian fishing rods. In this case I walked out of the store with my defective Californian fishing rod. When I google online about the Californian fishing rods, others also report that their lower grip soft foam is splitting. Some seem to have luck with Turner's replacing the defective fishing rod, others seem to report that Turner's wants to up charge them for the exchange. YMMV. I don't know if the same thing happens at other Turner's Outdoorsman locations, but just sharing my experience with Turner's Outdoorsman in Temecula, when buying a fishing rod and fishing reel from them. I've purchased fishing rods and fishing reels from other sources and never encountered an issue like this. Don't buy your fishing rods or reels from Turner's Outdoorsman. Don't listen or trust the pre-sale speak and quality claims from Eric or Mason.

From the moment she helped me, she was incredibly polite, friendly, patient, and genuinely funny. She made the whole experience feel comfortable and enjoyable instead of rushed or transactional. She took the time to help me, answered my questions, and had such a positive attitude throughout the entire process. Great customer service can completely change your experience at a store, and Maria definitely did that for me. She's professional, personable, and clearly knows how to make customers feel welcomed and taken care of. Thank you, Maria! You absolutely earned this 5-star review. I'll definitely be coming back.

It is appealing to visit this location due to its location but if Maria there we already know is going to be and obnoxious up sell with some odd remarks about random people. We have come to learn this tactic since her first day a few years ago. We love RR bus this really makes every store visit a 7-8 stars. I'm not saying we deserve special treatment but it is nice not having to drive 2 hours to San Diego in order to get treated within certain amount of reason. Again the associate today was great she really knew her stuff, honesty every other employee there is great but the aforementioned since day one is a sales killer. It's really an eye roller as soon as we know she there. Sorry! I've waited a while to mention this knowing it's negative but telling the truth needs to be said at times for change. Road Runner Sports has come a long way but nothing compares to the Solana B location, mow thats a store does it right! From the moment you walk in your family and if follow up is warranted, that experience, just is always just as great. We will visit Temecula again on rare occasions (If needed) as long as the atmosphere is welcoming, we just don't need the odd sales pitches and banter anymore. Kind Regards, JB. Quick note she is mentioned in the other reviews as pretentious and unprofessional tending to others after initially working with you. See I'm not making this up. Sales killer!!
