Vans originally went to champs but the service was awful so we ended up at vans walked in immediately greeted went to the kids section and was greeted again jojo helped my family and I with sizing and product she was amazing we were still figuring out the right sizing for our son she was patient with us we tried three different sizes, one of the styles we were looking for they did not have in the size we wanted to try but she brought out that size in another style and turned out we ended up liking that style ! So we grabbed two pairs. Noah checked us out we talked about our sons birthday and the plans we had for the day. So walking into the Vans store in the mall in Temecula, I knew exactly what I was looking for as it's on their website so I even had pictures to show. You'd think, "well why the one star review, sounds pretty easy". Well let me tell you. I think if I hire you to be a sales person that part of your job besides grabbing your little microphone and calling someone in the back to bring you a shoe, should be learning what the styles, their names, and what they look like. Is it fair to assume that? So the first girl that I encounter, I tell her "I'm looking for your "Half Cab" shoe. She responds with, "Sure, they are right over here". Now I know exactly what I'm looking for, regardless of the color. The Half Cab is a very easily recognizable shoe. Hell, it even says it right there on the side with a big patch. She proceeds to look at one section and turn over not one, not two, but 4 different pair of shoes looking at the names on the bottom to find the "half cab". I just told her politely that I will go ahead and find them, which I did and she can feel free to go help the person that came in right after me. I was approached by another associate and I asked them if they had a red and white pair and explained that their website and it's "check stores" function was not working and that's why I had driven 20 minutes to the store to find out if they had them or not. He responds immediately with no all we have out here is what we have in stock". So I responded "would you be able to look on your POS system to find out if another store locally possibly has them"? His manager was right over my shoulder and he's looking at her and she nods to him yes , so he takes off I don't know where and I just proceeded to the front near the register. Another associate asked me if I still needed help and I responded yes and that I would like to find out if another store has the shoe by utilizing the POS system to inquire. To which she responded, "No we can't do that, I have to call each store". Which i know that it is a lie, having friends who work for Vans, I know that they can inquire about stock at a sister store. So I said, "I know that you can but Don't worry, I'll do you job for you and call myself" "Have a good dayyyy" in a smug voice as I walk out the door, because she got busted being lazy. I think Jim Van Doren would be shocked to hear this story because I know he doesn't train this type of customer service. I'll just order online from now on unless I'm in Orange County and can hit my old normal store. Horrible Experience. read more

The store is spacious, customer assistant are friendly and prompt checkout. Watch out for their sales promotions. They alway deliver.

I placed an online order and received the wrong color not only did I send out an email as that is the only way to contact them on the website and never heard back... but when I finally googled the vans customer service number I wasn't helped at all. I was instructed to do a return and once they received the shoes I could place my order again? Obviously I will not be shopping online at vans ever again. read more

I want to thank this location. My husband and I went into the location looking for some shoes for my brother I did not have his size and I was waiting for a response but he took to long. So we headed home. Everyone was very hopeful but I did not have my brothers shoe size so I decided to leave. When I got home my brother let me know the shoe size so I called the location and asked if they can help me find the shoe that I was looking at in a specific size so I can order it online. Santi was such a wonderful help he stood on the phone with me for about 20 minutes trying to figure out what shoe I had seen. I was able to find what I was looking for and able to purchase it online thank you so much for all your help and everything you guys do. Called to see if they had the Authentic Comfy Cush, as I was heading South on the 15, cause the North County location I usually go to had everything but the 9 that I needed. Hannah answered the phone and was happy to help. She verified they had the pair I wanted and she put em on hold for me. I rolled in to a very busy store on a Sunday night and I wanna say Tia was her name, but she grabbed my shoes from the back, put them at the counter for me to check out. First time here to get the newly released Harry Potter shoes. All the staff here are amazing! We had a nice guy, I think Vince, who quickly got us all of our shoes and found the right size for the kids. He sold us socks, shirts, and care products too. We were out the door with 6 pairs of shoes and countless other items. The other guys helping us were very nice and helped me order a size online to ship to my house. Awesome service! read more

I visited this location hoping to get my kids shoes for back to school. The selection for kids is minimal I been to store with better selection. My son wanted another pair of a limited edition style he has from a while back and he begged me to ask when I ask a an employee he responded with an attitude " That's like three years ago" okay I get it I'm outdated but you don't have to make me feel stupid he could of said just "no" or explain that that style is no longer available without being rude I went to Journeys and got good service. We were not able to find the pair my son wanted but we got him other shoes. Next time I want Vans I'll go elsewhere I had a bad experience. read more

This is one of the best Vans stores I've been in. Everyone is super helpful and they seem to always stay busy. Rebekah, in particular, has helped me multiple times and she is amazing. I ended up getting the protective spray on her recommendation and I'm so glad I got it. It's kept even my old Vans looking good. read more

We love Vans in our family. However, this location is hit or miss with customer service. You never know what attitude you are going to get. Buying shoes there is a breeze, but exchanging or returning for a different style or size becomes a nightmare due to employees lacking the term "customer service." I've worked in retail as a manager years ago and receiving poor customer service treatment over exchanging a slip-on style vs. the authentic style (with strings) for my 7 year old son was awful. Not being able to do an exchange due to a pebble on the bottom (because apparently my son walked on the pavement in them one day) is a horrific move. I'll be contacting customer service for Vans regarding this location, because I should've wiped the bottom of the shoe in order for the guy to not mark it as "damaged." Unreal. read more

Okay, either you are a Vans lover or not but which ever camp you fall into chances are you know someone who LOVEs them. Well, this store really went above and beyond in making me a happy customer, and for an exchange even. First, Jenny was so helpful on the phone when I called to review their exchange policy. She encouraged me to come on in and she would review my purchase and see what she could do. Well she reviewed my purchase (nearly 60 days ago) and listened to the situation and then found the shoe online and had it shipped to us free of charge. And the item came in five days. Always great service when I stop by and you probably get asked three separate times by different employees if you need any help. Went in on a Monday, waited over 10 minutes for a pair of shoes. Literally the most messiest and chaotic Vans store I've been in. I don't know if it was the lack of customer service or how small the store was, but it was a sh*t show. I went in Wednesday at 1pm with my kids and sister whom has a disability, we were looking for two pairs of shoes and everyone was very helpful except one employee in particular Candace or Kandace not sure how it's spelt, she had a horrible attitude it seemed to be only with us, the way she talked to us and looked at us was very disrespectful, when we found our shoes and went to pay that's when I noticed she was watching us like a hawk, when i got in line she went and stood next to the cashier whispering something in her ear then looks at me I smile and she gives me a dirty look the fact that Vans has someone working for them with an ugly attitude like that makes me not want to go back. read more

"Jenny" is the RUDEST salesperson I've encountered. On May 31st, I walked into the store in a happy mood. Walked out pissed. First, when I had asked her for help in assisting me in checking a shoe size, she just looked at me and told the junior salesguy to help me. I let it slide. Then when I was at the cash register paying for my items, she was ringing me up all the while on the phone chatting away, being very rude. She was complaining to someone on the phone about another customer who was looking through all the folded shirts in the store. Never once did she greet me. Then she asked if I needed socks to go with my shoes, the B***H didn't even realize she had just rung up a pair of socks I had picked out. Pls, owner of VANS at the promenade, FIRE her a**.
