I grabbed a box which was empty and told the sales associate who was right beside me. I tried on a few pair of shoes then left the store. As I parked my stroller to put my baby in the car an associate accosted me in the parking lot accusing me of stealing and threatening to call the police. Long story short I ended up calling the police to help me in this situation. I had not stollen anything and these women were cruel. The employees in this store treated me like a criminal for no reason. Shame on the women working in this store!!!!! I will never shop at any famous footwear again!! I did-that was the Towne Center store in Leawood, Ks. spoke to an employee who told me that did have both items in stock (1 of each), 85.00 for one and 47.99 for the other. I explained that I live 221 miles from that store but would be there next Friday, 8/7 and could pick them up then. However company policy for not allow them to take payment over the phone. She said I could go online order them for a store pick up there for next week. Well since they only had 1 of each item in stock the online ordering showed they did not have it so that was now not an option. She offered to hold them but could not guarantee they would be there next week. Told me to call customer service and see if they could "override" that quantity and make it available but she didn't think they would. Not helpful at all in solving my issue or making a $130 plus sale soooooo Long story short..I got in my car, drove to my local Laura Hill store spoke with the store manager and she found a solution. She ordered it from another Kansas City area store, I paid for it, and it will be delivered in 3-5 days. All from 299 miles away and in less than 10 min. This is not a store I shop in frequently as I do not have a need for most items in their inventory, but have been there 2 or 3 times before and EVERY TIME someone who works there has gone above and beyond to help me get exactly what I needed. This store manager "gets it"! and so does her staff-retail is a very tough, competitive industry, and having to deal with trying to find good, caring associates while they are on your dollar must be incredibly difficult nowadays, but not there. please acknowledge her and her store for their willingness to go the extra mile! We bought chairs for outdoor games which were very good prices and they last a long time. They have reasonable prices for all your sporting needs. Mouth guards, basketballs, cups, bikes, hoops, sports clothing and more. The staff is always helpful when we need and they greet you as you walk in. We came here to compare prices for a hoop which we saw better elsewhere but overall, not bad.

There is white paint or something similar on the bottoms, on the side and top, there is what looks like splattered Cola or coffee. The laces are dirty and the inside of the shoe has fuzz and dirt. I IMMEDIATELY called the Manchester store and "Wayne" answered in the shoe department. He was 10,000% extremely unhelpful, rude and very off putting with his attitude. He blamed it on the delivery service I used, my response was they dont work for Academy, they are a delivery company. He then says well what do you want me to do about it? So I hung up and called to talk to a manager. The manager "James" was worse than the first guy, so apparently I was going to get no where with him either.
