If you can wait out the line before getting to the front door, it's worth the wait. Good to go earlier in the day or much later in the day if possible. Everyone seems to like this store. The line for paying for items seems longer than the number of people roaming around the store. They have always been very friendly, helpful, and honest. I asked about a few specific items and they guy lamented that they didn't carry it and I'd be better off shopping online. He didn't try to cross-sell me something I didn't want, or pressure me into ordering through them... I like that. It's a way of doing business that is going to keep me coming back to them in the future. Also, they are more than willing to help you carry stuff to the register or out to your car; such service! I'm a big fan of Fitness Factory and will be returning to them again in the future as my garage box takes shape (pardon the pun).

They smiled and immediately greeted me as a number of shoppers came in. The second time I showed up was a bit of a different atmosphere. Two guys (re: kids) running the place and kept to themselves. I started to chat with them and they finally opened up but it felt like pulling teeth to ask them about sale items or what the hot item was. Your mileage may vary as far as experience goes. I went back the second time cause I had a blast the first time. Now I will just timidly go back but if I see the guys working, I might just leave and go elsewhere. They do sales at the end of each sports season. That's my tip to you. Go cheer on your favorite team. Go Hawks/Go Cubbies!

The prices are a bit steep; one of my t-shirts was $35, which usually I would never consider spending that when it probably costs $5 to make. But whatev- sometimes you gotta splurge. The employees are friendly and helpful, but they do tend to follow you around the store, so if you're thinking of stuffing that $35 t-shirt in your waistband, good luck. While I appreciate their efforts to deter shoplifters, it makes for an awkward shopping experience for the honest folk.
