I'm not beating around the bush today. Ordered 20 Smoky Mountain Gold traditional wings--you'd never catch me ordering boneless since I'm not really into chicken nuggets... My husband got the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. He really enjoyed it...with a side of fries done to his perfect over-doneness lol My wings? Absolutely perfect! On the way home from a long day of traveling, we found ourselves passing through Starke, FL, ready for a bite to eat. When I tell you we lucked upon this gem.....!!! I assure you this is not your typical, franchised 'wings stop' and bar. Not only was the beer utterly frigid, the food was piping hot and perfectly prepared. The pretzel sticks were exactly what we needed to enjoy with our cold beers, as we made dinner selections. The pub cheese offered alongside was tasty, but IMO only took away from the awesomeness of the pretzel sticks with the Gold Rush sauce and salt. (My husband thoroughly enjoyed the cheese.) We were fortunate to have the sweetest server who not only looked after our every need, but offered suggestions on food choices and quickly offered my husband a taste of the signature sauce when he questioned the level of heat. That sauce was a perfect compliment to the monstrous chicken breast, offering a spicy/sweet kick served on a toasted brioche bun that was equally delicious (...and locally sourced from Jacksonville's own, Jacksonville Village Bread and Bagel.). The burger was cooked perfectly and the waffle fries (premium side upgrade) were definitely the right choice. Plenty of seating is available for small and large parties, as well as bar seating, if desired. From the moment you enter, tables are prepared for open seating with both drink and food menus available. A 'To Go' area is marked clearly back at one of the bars, and we noted a few orders going out during our visit. I'm guessing their take out is equally as impressive as their dine in experience. The owner/operator has definitely taken great pride in creating a local eatery that offers excellent food coupled with incredible service. It is obvious everyone there is working hard to ensure the environment and the product is of high quality. So the next time you're anywhere near Starke, FL, take a chance and give this Dick's Wing a try. I promise you won't regret it! We will definitely be back. read more

Hello ! I came here with my family . And let me say what an amazing decision it was . The waitress we had was so respectful saying yes/no ma'm/sir . she was so polite and kind to us , checking on us despite it being busy . She had everything done quickly. The food was delicious !!!! As an appetizer we had chips and queso , it was an 10/10 , would definitely get it again , everyone liked it , it was ate clean ! I personally got the shrimp basket and goodness it was so good some of the best fried shrimp i have ever had in my life. and the cocktail sauce that make with it was so good , it was a match made in heaven. Very nice establishment. The wait staff is so friendly. Makes you feel like you walked into Cheers. We went on a Friday evening and the regulars were in and happy. The owner stopped by to talk and was very nice. The stay has been there for years and that shows me its a grat place for workers and customers. Food is good with a nice selection of wings. So I haven't written a review in a while but here I am. I ordered carryout about a week or two ago and that experience sucked. The paper they lined the to-go box with pretty much became part of the meal. I threw it away. Tonight I wanted to try dine-in. It was not busy but it had 2 large tables. I ordered before both, it took 30 minutes for a Fried Green Tomato appetizer and an additional 30 minutes for 10 boneless wings and an order of onion rings. The server checked on me after I had pretty much finished each meal vs. 2 bites/2 minute industry standard. Even though there was enough servers on the floor it seemed like they were overwhelmed. With a clear view to the kitchen, the manager, she was plating up fries without gloves, handling the cordless phone and going back to help the line without washing her hands or putting gloves on. ARC Group, based in Orange Park, created this concept along with Fatty Patty's. They need to shop their stores more often to see how their franchisees are representing them. Will I go back, probably not, didn't have high expectations when I walked in and left with the same opinion. Wish I could have had a better experience. If I could give it a .5 I would. when I got my wings back to the hotel, it was like the chicken and sauce had an argument in the box because the chicken was in the middle and the sauce was floating around the box. The waffle fries were hard. Like they had been sitting out for a while. If the majority of the food places in the area weren't closed, I would have taken the wings back. I'm reviewing this after my first visit to this establishment and I honestly had no idea what to expect when it came to the wings but they were pretty good. I got medium because I was told that it would be as thick as mcdonald's buffalo sauce, which I took as "it'll be really saucy too". I love my wings really sauced up but that wasn't really the case here. The sauce from my wings leaked out of my box and all over the bag, the sauce itself was a bit thin and wasn't as flavorful as I hoped. However the chicken itself was cooked nice and crispy so that was a plus. I ended up using my own tobasco sauce with it and it added a nice kick and flavor. Overall I would recommend this place, the food is good, the restaurant itself seemed good even though it was extremely hot, and the staff were pretty friendly so kudos to that. read more

Food is always good and the service is always friendly. The issue here seems to be management. The restaurant can be half full with a hour plus wait time. There have been times when the restaurant is closed on a Saturday night with no notice to the public. I'm hoping the owners find a way to get it together. If they don't, this place could close. I loved this particular Dick's location. Upon enetering, you sit where you want and are promptly greeted by a friendly server. For lunch time I really expected it to be slammed and the service slow. But the server was so sweet, patient, and amazing. She took the time to explain the different wing sauces to me and I decided on a grilled buffalo chicken salad with the Georgia Girl and Great Balls of Fire sauce mix. It was heavenly. The only thing that I didn't love about the salad was the amount of cheese on it. Most people would love that, but I just picked most of it off. Very clean and comfortable inside. A nice "homey" feeling to the place. Its kind of like cheers because the servers knew everyone coming in. Also, free Wi-Fi! A huge deal to me because I work on the road. But the wings were good, I got the dry rub Cajan flavor and it was pretty good. They add the spice separate and it was a bit too strong (not in a heat sense) and watery for me. This is by far the absolute worst service I have ever experienced in any establishment, to include the DMV, and that should give you a big clue to how bad it is. Me and my family eat here from time to time. The food is always great. It takes a little longer for the food but it is made so fresh it's worth the wait. So for starters, the wings are delicious. No denying that the flavors are plentiful and don't disappoint. Here's why it only gets two stars. The servers feel like gossiping is more important than customer service. The wings come in 5, 10, 15, 20 etc... However I was not allowed to have 5 of each sauce. That makes absolutely no sense. I have to get 20 or 10 even of the SAME SAUCE? Even though they are sold per 5? That's ridiculous and the only place that doesn't split sauces.
