Everything is always so great when we come here. Regulars on Tuesday for trivia, but usually don't have dinner. Plans for the evening repast fell through tonite, and this old standby shines once again. Service tonight from Jessica was exemplary, as usual, and my first foray into the fish & chips and the Boom-boom Shrimp which were both delicious and served up hot and fresh. The environment is somewhat typical sports bar/restaurant vibe. They do have outdoor patio seating which allows smoking and dogs. All the staff I have encountered are all very friendly and happy to get whatever you may need. They only a few Irish food options. However, the corned-beef is the most tender and tasty I've had;especially the dinner meal. read more

My cousin and her husband from Tennessee came to visit over Valentine's weekend and because of past experience, she suggested McHenry's. I told her that management and ownership had gone through a radical change and there were numerous complaints about current quality and customer service. We ordered 2 Rueben sandwiches with fries and she ordered the Corn Beef and Cabbage with mixed vegetables. The sandwich was very mediocre. Bread was dry and crumbly, meat was portioned on the light side and just not tasty or appealing. My cousin on the other hand was served two rather large slabs of corned beef which was inedible. Gristle and fat throughout the cut of both pieces. At the time, she didn't complain, but told me she just wasn't hungry and to get it in a to go box. I did and the next morning, she was leaving and I mentioned the to go box, and she said for me to take care of it. I heated it up for lunch and it was terrible. I had to put the meat in a food processor and fed it to my dogs. I have always enjoyed this restaurant when Ronnie and his chef ran it. Now, with new owners, we went from twice a week, to pretty much never. It's a shame because it's the only nicely done sports bar in town. I texted my cousin as to why she didn't complain or send it back, and she just said that she didn't want to make a scene and embarrass me or the server. Btw, Raven gave us great attentive service and was very bubbly and polite in her personality. Blue Water Bay will be our next night out with company. read more

So the food, I ordered a Tijuana flat and it was actually my dad's friend who made the idea of the Tijuana flat but it just wasn't for me. I ordered it with no tomatoes, no onions and no jalapenos. I wanted to try the bell peppers but I didn't like the flavor. Because I didn't like it, I ordered the three beef tacos and I ate 1 1/2 of those and they came with a side of rice and beans but my dad got me sweet potato fries instead. For three appetizers and three meals, it all came out prett fast and warm! Overall the place I really good and their food is spot on! read more

Clean, well stocked bar with lots of beer on tap, long bar to sit and socialize (or not), live music on Fridays and trivia on Tuesdays, menu had traditional Irish favorites plus local seafood - looking forward to trying some on our next visit. Got seats right away . Our waitress was very, very friendly. This place came recommended to us from a friend. Unfortunately, they were out of the cabbage, so the wife had to change up. Appetizers were very Casey and good.. But then my waitress tells me they have no yellow rice for my chicken bowl..lol .Gave my wife regular fries not the sweet potato fries she ordered. Not what it once was unfortunately. When we moved to FL from TX three years ago, this was my it very first favorite dining joint. We would drive over an hour round trip to eat here. The service was amazing and the quality of food was so high you would never think you were at a bar. Unfortunately after the name change it is just not the same. We miss the old mchenry's. Excellent atmosphere. 99 degrees outside, but when you walked inside, it was in the 70's. What a relief coming into a restaurant that actually had a sufficiently outfitted air conditioning system. We had the blackened wings for appetizers. They were perfectly cooked as requested and seasoned perfectly. The shepherds pie was very very good and well portioned. The beer was ice cold. Coldest I've had in a while. We will return. read more

Decided to take a trip out of town, but in the same county today. Date day is never boring. This place is larger than i thought it would be. We got seated and a waitress lexi came to take our order. I started with a guinness and my wife ordered a coke. The beer was so cold. For dinner my wife ordered a french dip and a side of greens. I ordered a burger all the way and a side of mac n cheese. All the employees seem to be happy and smiling, which is a good sign of how this place is run. Our orders came out in a reasonable amount of time. Well the food was very good. We had no idea what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. And the prices were reasonable as well. We will come back maybe to try the irish dishes they have and will recommend this place. The only reason we didnt give this 5 stars was because its good bar food and not a gourmet meal. For bar food i would give it a five star but in the big picture of places its a 4.9. read more

We were in area for the day and found this place on Yelp. Decided to try it out, and it was a great find! Was 230p so not too busy. 2 adults and one 12 year old. Nice size kids menu. We both ordered wraps, Bacon Ranch and Southwest wraps. They were fresh and delish! Kids chicken tenders were very good. We all loved their fries and ranch dressing. Service was very good also. Only negative was that our appetizer came out after our meals, I had to ask about it. They were mozzarella sticks and they were cold. But we are not big complainers, and the rest so yummy, that we still left happy and full. Will go back next time in that area. read more

McHenry's came very highly recommended by my family, so I had to check it out while in the town of Melrose and Keystone Heights. They seem to be popular, with the parking lot almost completely full by the time we left after eating dinner here. They recently expanded with more room in the back for larger parties, as well as an outside area. Great atmosphere with a small town vibe. Service was okay, all were waitresses around college age, but appeared to have a bit of waitressing experience. I do not really understand what makes this an Irish Pub, since the brews and food offered are not different than any other sports bar. We ordered many items; clam strips on crinkle fries, fried green bean appetizer, fried okra appetizer, and hot wings mixed with garlic parmesan. The wings are naked fried--- and yeah, basically everything was fried. Except for the celery sticks that come with the wings. I saw some other tables ordered salads, which looked really fresh, not just iceberg lettuce. The main thing that stood out to me is their homemade dressings and sauces; ranch, tartar sauce, and blue cheese were homemade and really good. The fried green beans and okra, were almost $7 each per basket--- so the total added up to $70+ for a party of five people very quick. We all had sodas, and one person had a beer, but that's it. read more

I have been coming to McHenry's a few times a week since we moved to Keystone a few weeks ago. Staff for the most part has been good as well as the food. Several times I have gotten the Wings with their Carolina Reaper sauce which in my view of hot is in between BW3's medium and hot buffalo sauce. Several times I have asked for a hotter sauce and have been told come back on Wednesday to get our hottest sauce as they only make it then. So today Wednesday the 9th of February I came and after I get my wings they say I am not allowed to get that sauce because I am not doing their challenge. I asked for the manager who is not customer at all into customer service as he just looked at me as I explained what the level of hot is and he just said I could not have their hottest as it would give some type of advantage to people wanting to do their wing challenge. I say this is BS and in order to keep the business of me and most of my friends they need to not have a manager that challenges and talks down to customers. Be taking my business else where until they get a manager who would be happy to take recommendations and feedback from customers. Even if they do not follow through they should at least smile and acknowledge the customers preferences. read more

Went to lunch with wife and one other. Ordered the special which was broccoli cheese soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. Wife got the same. Soup came and was barely warm and no sandwich. Friend had Buffalo burger with onion rings. No onion rings came. Finally flagged down server who went looking for absent items. Finished soup and still no sandwich. Sandwich showed up when we were ready to leave. Put same in a go box. Server mixed up our bill with someone else's and I was charged twice. Very disappointing. This was the absolute worse service ever. The waitress was good she kept the drinks full and apologized every time she came to the table. Took 1hr 45 mins for our food to show then it was cold and no manager would come to the table. Then was told the owner was there but she was pure garbage and would not come to the table or door when we got ready to leave.
