Quiet for lunch hour, which honestly surprised me, but maybe folks are just trying to avoid the traffic mess around Youngerman and Blanding. I ordered the Florida Girl wings with fries, and my wife went with the Georgia Girl wings and broccoli. Lunch orders come with 10 solid wings and a side for a fair price, so I was already feeling good about it. Pickup was smooth... order was ready when I walked in. I saw the receipt stapled to the bag and figured everything was squared away. Should've checked it myself though, because when I got home, my fries didn't make the trip. The lady at the counter was super sweet, so no shade at her, but whoever bagged it probably could've confirmed the contents before tying it up. My wife's broccoli was in its own container, which in hindsight should've tipped me off that something was missing. Now, the wings themselves? Spot on. Cooked right, sauced and seasoned perfectly. I like being able to control the heat, and mine hit exactly where I wanted them. Traded one with the Mrs. and her Georgia Girl wings were sweet, saucy, and just as presentable as they looked. My husband and I went here for the first time to watch a football game. He likes chicken wings and had a coupon from the high school football team fundraiser. We were greated and seated quickly and our server came an took our drink menu rather quickly and gave us time to look over the menu. There is a separate bar area and lots of tables for large and small groups. I ordered a cheeseburger and my husband ordered wings. We enjoyed our food and watched the game. This was pretty cool in the COVID days but I hope that doesn't mean that they don't have enough business. I was pleasantly served by a lovely waitress who took my drink order and then my food order. My boneless chicken wings arrived about 15 minutes later, obviously cooked fresh as they were quite hot. Crunchy outside and soft inside, the sauce was spicy and delicious. Love to go here for cold beer and wings. The wings are always cooked crispy and are a good size. The service can be hit or miss at times. The Victory Lane Wings are my favorite as I am traditional but my wife lives the Florida Girl and Georgia Girl flavors. The Southwest Egg Rolls are probably the best I have had and are always hot and fresh. The beer is always cold and pairs well with the wings. The downside was the uncertainty on beer availability and specials. The suggestions from the staff was great, nothing specific but a good explanation of the menu and options. I was on my way home from a meeting pretty late and really needed to grab a bite. I pulled up to this new Dick's Wings location in Argyle at about 11 pm. I'm wary of being one of those people who shows up with a short amount of time before closing. Luckily, I checked with the waitress before seating myself, and she said there was plenty of time to still order. I ordered some Smoky Mountain Gold wings, fries, and a sweet tea while enjoying my book. For later at night, there were still quite a few people here. My waitress was dealing with a particularly large and difficult group, aside from me. I daresay she was relieved to close out the night with such a low maintenance customer. Compared to the locations on San Juan and Wells Road, I love this spot. The latter locations are rather run down and haven't seen renovations/updates in quite sometime. However, the newer locations that keep popping up are sharp and clean as a whistle. The only drawback for this locale is the high/rush hour traffic on Blanding. This is my go to spot on Mondays when I can't make up my mind on what I want for dinner. Their Monday special is .50 bone in or boneless wings and $1.50 Yuenglings, yup you can't beat that except you do have to pay extra for ranch, blue cheese and celery... That's where they get you. The seating options are plentiful. You can sit indoor, on the patio, at the bar or the outdoor patio bar. They even have pool tables and corn holes (an awesome FLORIDA STATE one may I add). The restaurant itself is pretty clean except for the men's rooms, even after the remodel the men's restroom is still gross especially when they are busy. Bike night is on Wednesday, it's mostly an older crowd but there's a mixture of bikes... I ride a crotch rocket and I always meet some pretty cool people when I go. No drink specials though :/ All this cool stuff but three stars? The service is garbage, especially if you are sitting on the patio trying to enjoy Florida's beautiful weather at night. My past three visits have been pretty terrible with three different servers. The manager is usually always around and I can tell he's trying to help his servers but they either need to learn how to be a better waitress or get another gig. read more
